Hey umm this sounds kind of stupid but i need an answer. What does a step up ring do? I iknow the vx1's threads are 52mm but some people buy a 58 the use a step up or step down ring then put on a spacer. Maybe i guess the step up ring lets a 58mm fisheye fit on a 52mm vx1 and acts as a spacer, but why not buy a 52mm and just add 2 spacers? I NEED ANSWER

the vx1000's viewfinder is a little magnified but you will see the vig when capturing the footage.

im preety sure they dont make 52mm that why everyone gets 58mm. the more close the thread size is to your actual thread size the better.

Yes, you need a 52-58mm step up. I recommend that you use the spacer too.

It should have come with a spacer. If not, it's just a 58-58 mm ring. There's s pretty big difference between no spacer and having a spacer.
