  • The guy on the left at 0:47. What an outfit! XD

  • Comment removed

  • I always love it when the celebrity guest gets so excited they scare the shit out of the winner.

  • @KEYSERSOZE1965 LOL! Right?

  • "An old woman's breasts." Priceless.

  • Try watching this at 1.5x speed! The crowd just bum rushes the stage!

  • I never knew the whole audience came onstage, I thought he had a lot of friends!!

  • @73gossipboy - That is honestly one thing I did not like about the $100,000 wins. People I'm sure went to those tapings over any other only because they wanted their fat faces on the tele. Typical "Hi Mom" attitudes. I mean, they were going into the backstage, I'm sure.

  • @CycloneGU I know, right?! I'm like... at least be happy for the person who just won it all! Show some respect! Lol...

  • They won with 33 seconds left on the clock at the 33 second mark in the video. Quite the coincidence I say.

  • Wow...

You know you're watching a great game show when the people, who AREN'T winning money, are more excited for the contestant than the contestant themselves. (I'm sure the contestant was just too shocked to react, but wow, gotta love how excited the people around the contestant get.)

  • To this day Barry Jenner still cracks me up with his reaction.

  • While yes, it's obvious the producers encouraged the audience to rush the stage following the $100,000.00 wins, didn't they stop it after a while? I seem to remember someone saying on another clip that they discouraged it after about the 4th win or so.

  • The thing I always loved about the "Victory" music from this show is the tambourines in the background kind of sound like cash registers going off over and over again.

  • The reaction at 0:34 is absolutely priceless! The celebrity screaming like a girl and the contestant reacting as if he were thinking, "Did I just win $100,000 that fast!?"

  • oh please

  • LMFAO.

  • IN 27 seconds WOW! That's got to be a record

  • @MrDodgerfan1985 Not a record. Billy Crystal won in 26 seconds back in the 70s.

  • @shoredude2 does the Billy Crystal footage exist?

  • @blozier2006 1. Search Billy Crystal pyramid on YouTube. 2. Second fastest wins in Dick Clark era are this and Florence Henderson at 27 seconds. (Kelly Packard did 27 seconds during Donny Osmond era).

  • @ErniePaulGeorge Oh, all of these are on YouTube, as well as likely 5th fastest at 29 seconds (Nipsy Russell).

  • @ErniePaulGeorge One last clarification. I'm not sure if the Kelly Packard video is on YouTube of the 27 second win (I was looking all of this up last year, and don't recall now), but the only/main reference was to tnawcwvictoria and her comment about one year ago on this video (click the "all comments" link on this page).

  • @ErniePaulGeorge and per more than one person: Shelley Smith in 29 seconds with Linda Simon for the 5th tournament..

  • @ErniePaulGeorge People including me still looking forward to that video--not aware that Shelly Smith's win is uploaded. Good night.

  • Not aware that the Shelley Smith 29 second video is uploaded yet though, can't find it.

  • The most Epic clue given in game show history!!

  • I love how the WHOLE audience comes to congratulate him. Haha.

  • This is even way better than "Pay the Rent" on the "Price Is Right". BTW, it was taped at the same studio that "The Price Is Right" was taped. The Bob Barker Studio.

  • Not really all that exciting 2 me. I like it much better when it comes down 2 the last second.

  • if i were in that audience, id run to the parking lot so that i could get out before all others lol

  • I hate it when the audience comes up to "celebrate." Pyrmid is enjoyable because the reactions are so genuine. And then they taint it by obviously cajoling the audience there.

  • @WastedPo They only allowed that during the tournaments, I guess they thought it added something. I , too, hated it. : )

  • @WastedPo Oh, my God! Incredibly well put!

  • @WastedPo Hey! When someone wins $100,000 in cold hard cash, believe me, it is such a great and exciting feeling that they just wanna congratuate the big winner (and maybe get their 15 minutes of fame). To quote Paul McCartney in one of his verses from "Silly Love Songs": What's wrong with that?

  • @tyrese3745, the reason I don't like it is because it's so clearly set up. It feels phony. (i.e. something they'd do on a show today.) The audience didn't spontaneously as a group decide to charge the stage. The reason I enjoy watching Pyramid (especially the big wins) is because everyone's reactions are otherwise so genuine. Having said all that, I admit this is a nitpick. The episode is still enjoyable, and about a thousand times better than what's on TV now.

  • @WastedPo Well, that's your opinion and you are more than entitled to it. But I don't think it was phony. Not at all.

  • @tyrese3745, I think it interesting that you feel that way. Do you think that the audience members, just for these $100,000 wins (and in no other episodes) all spontaneously decided to charge the stage and that they weren't told to do it by the producers should the contestant get the win? Don't you think that if it wasn't set up that the entire taping would be in chaos with the producers and Dick Clark at a loss over what just happened?

  • @WastedPo I guess maybe you're right. Sometimes I just...jump to conclusions.

  • @tyrese3745, hey, no problem. I probably shoudn't have pursued the issue so much.

  • @tyrese3745 You never saw anyone storm the stage for million dollar wins on any of the more-recent game shows, did you? : ) No doubt the producers told them to do that if the contenstant won.

  • @ccie12933 I get the point already, pal! I watch those shows. I'm not THAT stupid. I'd refrain from that comment I wrote if I were you.

  • I still get chills watching this!

  • Awesome...this was on a few weeks back on GSN.

  • lol who the heck are all those ppl?!!lol must be the audience..

  • Things that sag uh uh an OLD WOMENS BREAST????

  • What an awesome Pyramid Pair. Both great players...

  • MG McCormick: as cool as the other side of the pillow.

  • That was a record for 27 second left in the clock!

  • Actually, Billy Crystal has the all-time record, getting to the top in 26 seconds.

  • And the entire audience runs onto the stage! LOL, I never understood the point of that. Nonetheless, an awesome win and great moment on a wonderful game show!

  • That was awesome!

  • this is $100,000 in cash.

  • That was money! The womans breasts was the classic laugher, but they were on point

  • I like how the crowd races in (including a nun no less!!) to get their few seconds of TV time.

  • I get teary eyed once they win because they're so happy, and I'm happy for them!! A great game show!

  • I want to know how he got "things you accept" from the single clue "an invitation". That one blows my mind. I swear he could see the answers...

  • ugh, 80s fashions rearing their ugly heads. those disgusting tube sox to the knee, beach shorts, striped t-shirts. turned the whole audience loose like they were running on the field of a sporting event lol!

  • Talk about two perfectly intertwined brains!!! GREAT clues!!

  • I couldn't answer that fast if i knew the answers !

  • The whole town came to celebrate the monumental win! haha

  • I saw this episode when it aired on the show and I jumped up and cheered for that guy..and Barry Jenner(the one giving the clues) is the best player by far..

  • This is the best $100,000 win!

  • Florence Henderson also won her WC in 27 seconds,

  • TV Veteran Barry Jenner and Kelly Packard of California Dreams both celebrated birthdays in January

Jenner turned 69 and Packard turned 35 and they both have one thing in common:

They had the 2nd fastest time in the Winner's Circle - 27 seconds - The 2nd Fastest Time behind Pyramid Master Billy Crystal

Jenner gave away $100,000 in 27 seconds and Kelly Packard gave away the Full $25,000 in 27 seconds as well, but Jenner Did it on Clark's $100,000 Pyramid and Packard did it on Donnymid

  • Barry Jenner's da man!

  • Man I love it when that happens!!

  • holy sh*t, less then 30 seconds :O

  • This was just on

  • Are those straps over the guy on the right arms?

I never noticed them until now.

  • Yeah, that was to keep the giver from using his/her hands.

  • @TheProud1488 Yes. That is because one of rules of Pyramid was that you couldn't use your hands to give a clue. The straps the celebrates slip there hands into try to prevent them from giving a visual clue.

  • There should be a new game show called, "What is dick clark saying" They could wheel him out and he can "talk" and whoever figures out the jumble that comes out of his mouth, wins the prize.

  • this episode may air this week, they mentioned M G on today's gsn episode of it. Mark it down so we can get entire episode.

  • this friday, the episode will be on.

  • Still can't think of another really good clue for 'things that sag'

  • sleepy eyes

  • The givers reaction was timeless!!

  • The picture on here is excellent - one of the best that I have ever seen. Even Dick Clark got into it and shared in the excitement immediately when the winner won $100,000. One of the best game shows in history and sadly, was ended way too prematurely.

  • "An old woman's breasts" Can't give a better clue than that one, LOL.

  • Best clue I've ever heard...

  • Can't stop laughing at the guy who comes stumbling on camera on the left side of the screen at 0:48 in his striped tube socks and tight, short blue shorts. The 80s were awesome.

  • if they ever have a revival of this i'd make 2 changes:

    1. for the $100,00 prize they'd have to face what I call the "Super Pyramid" consisting of *10* subjects

    2. any time left on the clock from previous WC wins would be added to the existing 60 seconds

  • I believe it was trialed with 10 subjects... if you find some vids on here of the original $10k Pyramid, you can see where they covered up the four boxes at the bottom.

  • Damn, that shits intense!

  • very impressive wow!!

  • 27 seconds, he didn't waste any time getting the $100,000 did he?

  • Does anyone have full episodes of the wins?? i know that the first 3 tournament win episodes are on here, and so is Nathan Cook's win with Keif, but what about the other ones?

  • i like how the panels were dancing after he won....epic

  • looks like a riot lol

  • i LOVED this one. My favorite of all time.

  • They dominated! Good stuff!

  • whoa! it almost looks like a riot!

  • A great win. The only thing that bugs me about this win is all of those strangers from the audience coming up on stage. The only ones who should have been there (besides the 2 in the WC), are his family & friends, the other celebrity and the other two contestants - and of course Dick Clark.

  • I agree with you! It's pathetic the way they strom the stage like that. Stealing the limelight from the dude.

  • I agree that it was annoying, but I'd bet serious money it was hardly spontaneous. I always thought the people were waved up. Having attended many game show tapings in my life, I can tell you that you don't exactly run up on stage AND have it shown on TV unless the producers wanted it that way.

  • Who cares..lol An audience is always important to any game show for excitement and the thrill. The Price is Right is always going to remain popular because of the audiences it draws. If you don't have that, then the game show is boring.

  • For the first $100,000 win in 1985, it was nice to have the Mahaffey family come up in a "Family Feud"-style celebration. But the repeated mob scene became a bit much after a while.

  • oh how I loved the Pyramid in my youth...I even wrote a stupid paper in high school that i was gonna go on it, and win all my rounds ....duh LOL

One thing that absolutely irritated me though, was when someone won the 100K and all the fools rushed the stage all excited...that was so stupid

  • So true, so true!

  • HAHA!

  • That was awesome! Very impressive & thrilling to watch!!!!!!!!

  • 27 Seconds A Tournament Record On The $100,000 Pyramid!

  • i wonder if that beats billy crystal's record?

  • Read the numerous comments that states that it does not

  • No it was one second off. Billy's was 26

  • That looks like half the audience on stage or something!

  • I beg to differ, have you seen him on New Years Eve? If that isn't death I don't know what is.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL.

  • It's called a STROKE

  • He's not dea

  • Barry Jenner 2nd place in 27 seconds.

  • Barry Jenner always has the best reactions, you would have thought he just won the money LOL.

  • 27 SECONDS is probably the second fastest time in Pyramid history.

  • Comment removed

  • That was a brilliant clue for "Things that sag".

  • This came close to breaking Billy Crystal's record too. He had 33 seconds left. (Crystal had 34 seconds left).

  • I remember this.

  • The winner circle's squares are very exciting when they saw someone win $100,000!!

  • I think he broke the record. 33 was the number of seconds remaining, meaning he had done it in 27 seconds. Wasn't Billy Crystal's record 28 seconds?

  • He was a second off. Crystal's record was 26.

  • It seems everyone of these videos has the token 80s guy with bright-colored, short shorts.

  • Barry Jenner went nuts when MG said ACCEPT.

  • Shooooo, he was SUPPOSED to!

  • i always thought this was the best game show ever if i could have gotten on i think i could have won i got real good and i would have always given in winners circle you had to be lucky to get a good celebrity the last thing you wanted was to get paired up with peter lawford or william shatner

  • 1 second from the record, and more impressive. For 100,000 they had tougher topics

  • GSN just aired this episode last night. An I recorded it.

  • any chance to put the whole episode on here, i would like to c how it all went down.

  • I have it on VHS. I'll burn it to DVD. But I don't know how to upload from DVD. Could you show me how?

  • do u have windows movie maker, i think u could upload from dvd to computer from there to store onur computer, i sometimes do that from my hard drive on my camcorder to create a few videos.

  • I have windows movie maker. If I have some spare time i'll try and upload it.

  • Is it me, or does the transition between clues seem longer in this version of the Pyramid than in the 70s versions?

As a result, it almost seems like Billy Crystal's record could have been broken here for some reason.

  • damn that was fast 33 seconds left

  • what in the hell? he answered correct on the first or second answer each time and he brought his whole town with him to congratulate him? lol great performance!!

  • the 1980s version of Pyramids return to GSN March 30th both $25,000 and $100,000.

  • I love how the whole audience comes to congratulate the guy.

  • I remeber watching this winner circle on TV back when GSN was called Game Show Network. Those were good times.

  • holy hell that was quick! just about every first response was the answer

  • the whole audience erupted big time.

  • DAMN THAT WAS FAST! 33 SEC. LEFT!

  • What the holy heck made Donny Osmond think he could hope to replicate the $100,000 Pyramid?

    Best. Game Show. Ever......

  • Donny wasn't *that* bad... his version lasted 2 years though. I'd really like to see Pyramid come back. Maybe have John O'Hurley do double-duty as host of that and host of Family Feud...

  • Almost thousands of people came out of the audience after the $100,000 win.

  • Much to Dick Clark's displeasure.

  • Yeah, Dick hated when that happened. I bet Patty Geiger's $100,000 triumph was the only time Dick could halfway relax!

  • i think the ceebrity was more exited about the win than the contestant.

  • was this the 4th tournament win?

  • I think this was the 8th or 9th!

  • My God, that was Pyramid perfection....

  • I just watched M.G. on "Super Password" and he won $1,200.

  • Did this dude know all these people or were they just allowed to go on?

  • who was left to applaud? The whole audience went on stage.

  • LMAO

  • Barry went nuts when MG said ACCEPT.

  • When in 1987?

  • In September

  • 100,000$...man I wish i would win that much money

  • JESUS. Do all these morons have to be on stage? They didn't do a goddamn thing.

  • i agree with you McCainis4me. the audience just wanted their time on the camera. let the guy enjoy his 15 minutes of fame, not with the audience.

  • I agree. I think that when someone is lucky enough to win $100,000, then that should be THAT contestant's and THAT contestant's family and friends to revel in; to jump up and down, to scream with delight, to shed tears of joy, whatever. I never liked the whole "audience participation" thing either to be honest.
