i have been searching on the internet for it, but i can't find a direct answer. Is it correct that the lower the turns of the motor, the better it is?
I've just got a 6.5T Xcelorin and i can't get any decent acceleration without the slipper screaming for the first 20 odd meters. I've tightened the diff and tried the slipper at all different tightnesses it just doesn't seem to let the car accelerate.
Yeah the speed controller is set to high acceleration, the lack in acceleration is because of the slipper just not letting the car accelerate as much as it could i think, the back just doesn't seem to be planted, like it can't put down that much power without wheelspinning. Would this be a problem with my set up of the car or just a general lack in traction?
hey. it might not be your slipper. im like wayy late, but tighten up your differential spring. my diff was slipping for a while. i just tightened it some and got rid of that horrible noise.
Are you running a 3 cell LiPo? If you are how do you fit it in the battery tray?? Please repy!!(: thanks!!

Low turns means more speed. For example if your racing 1/10 touring cars modified most guys will have a 3.5 to 5.5 turns motor.
If you're racing off road it's common to use around 7-9 turns on dirt.
my local track is a carpet track which means it has extra traction, this is the reason why we can afford to put in 3.5 to 5.5 turns.
jackienwoody 1 year ago
I forgot to mention also if you're rock crawling it is common to put in 21 turn brushless or 45 to 55 turn brushed motor for torque.
low turns = speed
high turns = torque

@jackienwoody ok thanx, i finally understand :P

hi, did you have any problems with your slipper?
I've just got a 6.5T Xcelorin and i can't get any decent acceleration without the slipper screaming for the first 20 odd meters. I've tightened the diff and tried the slipper at all different tightnesses it just doesn't seem to let the car accelerate.

Have you checked the set up of your speed controller?
Maybe you have the initial acceleration set to low?
Are you also getting a lot of top speed but with low acceleration?
this might sound stupid but check if your rear wheels are placed properly into the axle pins?
good luck!

Thanks, sorry to be a pain.

The track is in Adelaide, South Australia called Hobby Habit. It has an on road and off road track. The off road tracks' surface is carpet.

What are most of the guys in this class running in terms of motors and batts.?
Benzo717 3 years ago
Hey Benzo717, as far as I know most off the drivers run with 4200 NIMH. The motors vary from 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 brushless.
Most of the drivers have 4.5 and 5.5 installed. I hope that helps :)
jackienwoody 3 years ago
Sorry mate... just realised there is one guy running 3.5 brushless. Crazy bastard! I have a video of his car during practice in my video list.
Also in this video was my old set up. Now I'm running 4.5.
Thanx.
jackienwoody 3 years ago
ok cheers.I was thinking about racing down there with a B4, but those are a bit crazy for me.I think I will stick with my T4.
Benzo717 3 years ago
what battery is in that??
teamassociatedtee4 3 years ago
East Power Ni-MH 4200
jackienwoody 3 years ago
wow thats quick with only 4200 try a 3s lipo if it can handle it lol youll get way over a 100km/h lol

nice track and nice driving! Is the the rc10b4rs worth it? I will not be upgrading it any time soon and I like to race.
rcman1395 3 years ago
A few guys from the track have the RS and all have been modified. I think it's better to purchase the Factory Team if your intentions are to upgrade.
