Nice video, but I've grown up with shutters being on the outside of windows. This must be for decoration rather than being used for practical use.

@athiker7209 You're talking about storm shutters. The practical use for these is the same as drapes or blinds, to keep light out and for privacy.

@Maxid1 Thanks for reminding me, they were storm shutters. Very handy during windy weather, esp hail. I can see the practical use on the inside also. Thanks for the info.
