Would it KILL the game editors to make an animation where sims can actually get in and out of cars and on and off of bikes? It looks weird them just magically teleporing. They did it in sims2, so why not sims3?

I have the sims 2 and i know the only way to have a teenager living alone is to kill off the parent(s), but then the teen will probably go insane or something. Well my question is in sims 3 can you have just teens living alone, because that's where i want to start my sims life out as a teen, not an adult.
