  • i lived in papua new guinea for 6 years of my life! i have flown into many remote tribes and have see crash site myself

  • some of my pilot friends crashed at the same area.. so sad..

  • I think SIdney O'Toole has a massive fettish for riding big black Jins after a hard night on the SP larger ....

  • I feel bad for their country. It's so poor and they have no way to make money to fund these. Countries fund wars but not fund things like this. It's horrible what money turns people into...

  • I wonder if they would let me operate there commercially with a ppl. That would be sweet.

  • Being a Pilot myself we all in the industry know how bad things really are in PNG and that most pilots will refuse to work in the country knowing that the poor safety and lack of technology ie ILS and NDB, are a major contributor to crashes

  • 11:52 what a irony =/

  • i've had a terrifying flight from Jakarta to Bali. 737 engine virtually exploded 5 mins after take off. That was with Mandala Airlines. If that had happened on take off we'd have died. I think Indonesian Airlines are baned from Europe. What about PNG Airlines? Anyone know?

  • A sad tale. Good journo work though. Hopefully the govt sees this and acts before something tragic happens again.

  • Gee's I flown in the Alaskan Bush for 20 years and most in the States would say that is the toughest going and we have an accident rate, but the PNG looks like a very tough place to fly, and I thought I had it rough.

  • Good vids but to small picture...shit

  • in Indonesia plane is deadly, most of us pray when taking off or on turbulences, or landing or even before heading to the airport. because we know we have to risk our lives during the flight!

  • The Highlands people of PNG should stop demanding compensation for guarding the crash site. These people are stupid-an ambarrashment to PNG.Bloody money face pigs.

  • another excellent film. thanks.

  • It seems evident that the aviation safety council and oversight are corrupt and do not investigate because they will be found at fault. Rigorous safety in the long run may cost more than the planes, or they are asserting the planes are safe and the inspections are maintenance work was performed when it truly wasn't done, then they'd get caught and prosecuted for lives lost. There is serious corruption.

  • But the other factor of armed men asking for ransom of the downed planes needs addressing. Are they paid to do that? Military should come into play.

  • The military in PNG is full of corruption and even if they want to do something, where is the money going to come from? Over there is a different way of life EVERYONE has a gun and they carry it always.

  • The Indonesian example illustrates how this isn't an isolated issue (the lack of infrastructure) and could become more and more of a problem for more nations as time goes on and planes get older without being replaced.

  • did they even find out why that plane crashed?

  • No,that is the point of the film. Poor infrastructure prevented proper investigation.

  • yeah thats true

  • IN MY PANTS
