These Marines are awesome, but what they do is not impossible, it just takes disciplene and a lot of practice.
Used to do the same stuff in ROTC, but did not get payed for it, and if you miss and end up taking a rifle to your head it hurts a lot.
In competitions you just let the blood run down your face and keep on going till your done, one of the best ways to make top scores is Military bearing.
Hats off to you Marine Silent drill team, nice job.
No we did not use fixed bayonets, but I did push for them in our unit, the more true to military drill it is the more points you can score. Only the state wide drill comp even allowed bayonets, but it never passed in my unit.
I am not downing this platoon or any other silent drill team, just saying if people like what they see that it is doable and not impossible.

Not to argue but the USMC does suck becuase they are the frist ones in battle and the last ones out. All they do is clean a small spect of the enemys and the army goes in behind them and take out the rest with the help of the airforce and navy.

Not to make another marine sound ignorant or anything (isn't that an oxymoron?), but actually the marines have the highest death ratio out of anybody. The Army has the highest casualty count because they have several hundred thousand deployments more than any branch, and because there are several hundred thousand soldiers more than any other branch.
The nation gets more for its defense funds from the Marine Corps than any other branch of the service and this has been true since the establishment of the Continental Marines in 1775. The Marine Corps has always done more with less and that is why there will always be a United States Marine Corps.

And I NEVER forget to thank ALL of my vet friends on Nov. 11th. EVER. A card, a hug, a handshake and "thank you" - everyone should do it.

I do so every time I'm out in a restaurant or whatever, and I see uniformed personnel - before I leave the premises, I shake their hands and thank them in person.

Honestly their routine isnt that impressive. I've seen all the same things at JROTC drill team competitions. This drill team seems to focus on simply timing, than impressive maneuvers. It does strike it odd to me though that they necessitate the world 'silent' in their title, when the other branches, sporting much more difficult routines, simply call themselves that branch's drill team, without any special title beyond that, since silence is a required part of exhibition drill.
it's a marine thing to add a little bit more to the title lol, but hey does it matter of course not so long as we are all pointing rifles in the same direction hooah.

That explains why they're in dying breed and the Army is standing. Which I heard the Leatherneck's funds have been cut and low. Which means soon enough there won't be an USMC. I guess that means USMC is a waste of tax payers' money.

Not to make another marine sound ignorant or anything (isn't that an oxymoron?), but actually the marines have the highest death ratio out of anybody. The Army has the highest casualty count because they have several hundred thousand deployments more than any branch, and because there are several hundred thousand soldiers more than any other branch.

The nation gets more for its defense funds from the Marine Corps than any other branch of the service and this has been true since the establishment of the Continental Marines in 1775. The Marine Corps has always done more with less and that is why there will always be a United States Marine Corps.

Indeed. I will NEVER badmouth ANY of our nation's troops. They go through too much, they sacrifice too much, defending the rights guaranteed to me by the US Constitution.
I live with an Army veteran. Many family members of mine were veterans.
I love our active duty military and our veterans.
And I NEVER forget to thank ALL of my vet friends on Nov. 11th. EVER. A card, a hug, a handshake and "thank you" - everyone should do it.

Honestly their routine isnt that impressive. I've seen all the same things at JROTC drill team competitions. This drill team seems to focus on simply timing, than impressive maneuvers. It does strike it odd to me though that they necessitate the world 'silent' in their title, when the other branches, sporting much more difficult routines, simply call themselves that branch's drill team, without any special title beyond that, since silence is a required part of exhibition drill.
