  • I've been to ATL 3 times and I did 60mph and was passing the shit otta everyone LOL

  • done 70 through usher was my friend riden

  • What time of day did you drive through?

  • looks like a very nice city im in Portland OR and I love it becouse the busses and subways are free down town. I love free big citys

  • My Beloved Atlanta, I Miss You

  • checkout Houston's Katy freeway its a monster!!

  • I was surprised to see the speed limit on the freeways was 55-65 mph, that is way too slow, in Albuquerque the speed limit is 65-75 so I do well over that

  • Oh trust me if they were moving that slowed they would have gotten hit. We ride at least 80 - 85 mph we be pushing it!! Lolz

  • Sadly, even 80-85mph is still slow for the connector when it's not a parking lot.

  • 25 mph or what?

  • I was going 55-65. Atlanta's fast drivers make it seem like 25mph.

  • @bigchris1257 Each dash on a highway is suppose to be 9 feet from the next, so just look at how quickly the dashes appear to move into the dashboard of the car and you can do the math ;). I'd say they're actually going more like 70-72, but I'm not the one who made the video. Atlanta traffic is pretty insane though ... the *flow* of traffic is around 15 to 20mph over the speed limit on this road sometimes, so even at 70 there would be people passing him.

  • @WarrantedFaith I normally drive about 65-70, and those lines are completely strange as they don't follow any of the usual conventions. Before the 1996 olympics, the city removed all the existing lines and made all the lanes narrower to squeeze in an extra HOV lane.

  • @musicfreakcc I was mistaken on the distance between the dashes ... if it was only 9 feet, you'd expect to see about 8 flying by a second at 70mph. But anywho, are you sure they actually changed the distance between dashes when repainting them? I ask because I remember going thru there at 70-72, and noticing that at that speed the beat of Owl City's song "Tidal Wave" matched up perfectly with the dashing passing the car lol, and then I've also noticed the same on I-40 up here in NC.

  • @musicfreakcc By the way, that song would make a great audio file to add to this video ;) It's was pretty neat.

  • @bigchris1257 Sorry, not 9 feet; 9 feet I believe is the width of the lanes or something. On an interstate, the dashes themselves are more like 9 feet long, with 20 some feet in between.

  • Any part in south Fulton county or Dekalb. South Clayton is also pretty bad. Gwenette is not so good too. North Fulton is the best place to live though its a little more expensive to live. Especially in parts of Roswell,Alpharetta,Johns Creek and Milton. Sandy Springs is ok. South Forsyth is getting really nice. Which is on the boarder of North Fulton and Forsyth county. Buckhead in my opinion used to be nice but its becoming the home of more crime every yr, Its also over priced.

  • Probably my favorite city. Than Cincinnati. Anyway i saw that Atlanta is on the top 20 most dangerous city list. They are 16. Worse than 21 last year. What parts of the city are most dangerous?

  • bankhead and east point and college park

  • I used to work in College Park and it can be a bit dangerous, although it's nowhere as bad as some of the neighborhoods near Downtown. College Park Police respond VERY quickly to emergencies. My friend used to work at a car rental agency on Main St. When her place was robbed, the police arrived in LESS THAN A MINUTE after she called 911!!!

  • true dat

  • Back in the early 2000s, Atlanta was no. 1 on the most dangerous list. Atlanta is currently ranked no. 1 for having the rudest drivers.

  • Tell me about it.Lolz

  • @ATLSPORTSFAN Rudest drivers, possibly, that's why I don't drive in atlanta, because that's one more crazy driver on the road, I hate atlanta roads.

  • @CHARKELLYAZ1818 All of them especially anything below I-20.

  • i miss home

  • It's good that there wasn't as much traffic at the time you drove through there. Today, around 5:00 pm or so, it was bumper-to-bumper, and traffic basically halted!

  • Where is the sound?

  • My parents were yapping away, so I muted the audio.

  • What were they yapping about?

  • They were yapping. 'Nuff said.

  • this video is fiction........the downtown connector is parking lot MOST of the time...unless we have had a snow watch i effect

  • It was filmed on the weekend - that's why it wasn't a parking lot.

  • where were you driving from??

  • Buckhead

  • This must beon a Sunday morning.

  • did you drove? big traffic.

  • Nope; I was way to tired.

  • I DONT BLAME U
