Do you recommend starting out with cone poi like those or does it not matter? I have some canvas poi with long tales and so stalls will look funny with them

I have the same question. I just got fluffy poi from homeofpoi and think there needs to be more weight in them to do stalls. Should I go back to glowsticks? Or socks with tennis balls?

Thanks man, I did miss that step of crossing between butterfly and weave, it's much easier to understand beats, rhythms and spins isolating one single poi while switching... Cool!

dont be afraid to just sit there and do the basics for hours! the best of the best on these vids ALL say the fundamentals are crucial. PLAY WITH THE SPACE AROUND YOUR BODY. i'm having fun learning poi. are you?

glowsticking came after poi! fire poi can be difficult, glowsticks were an easy, cheap alternative that came in afterwards :P.
