theres a shwilly kid on the west coast that gets good and drunk and plays this like you wouldn't believe, i guess ya gotta pour your soul somewhere he ain't good for much else
Ok. I didn't know about a drunken shwilly kid from west coast and I wouldn't pour my soul for another musician - but what did you want to express ? Somehow I didn't get close to that - sorry. Do you like, dislike... would you prefer to change something ? (Please ignore the video-clip, those pictures don't catch anything else but the muscles work and power you need to operate accordion, sweep your brains and concentrate on playing...
Yes, I think the same way - some songs you just want to lean back and enjoy, listen to....
The composer (Yann Tiersen) created this song for a movie picture and what we hear is the theme (core) itself, no variation or improvisation to it... not even additional repetitions... that's why it's only about 2 minutes long. I never tried to vary or impro this theme. Good idea....
@LibertangoVieenrose seriously this kid would jam that and move the notes around for hours, little changes here and there and it never was the same way twice
Did you like them and found something of worth for you ?
I really tried to create some special things about instruments in general and accordion in special. I hope you all enjoy it. Let me know if you wish something to be changed or added please.
i love this song, but i hate this movie. i live in montreal, my area is sort of 'done up' to look like paris. the movie makes me feel like a total poser! there are a few street performers that do this song really well in montreal.
i liked the part where the woman from quebec jumps off the church though.
I like this song too, but not necessarily the movie... and I don't like the lyrics always of what I play.
So... don't mind. Music is music... movie is movie... lyrics is lyrics. Sometimes it's a great team and works all in great, harmonic combination - but not always. That's the way it is. Usually I prefer to distinguish between all three. You know, I am musician. Notes and playing is what I like most. THIS is my part.
Thank you ! Can you give me some hints (or wishes) about spanish folk songs (folk dances ?) that you know beeing played on accordion in spain ? I'm not too familiar with spanish folk and dances. Thank you for your kind help. I'd be thankful for any additional information about these songs like links (played or sung version) and any sheets if available, maybe.
by the way, maybe you can answer my question about countries around the andes:
is the accordion (accordion music) well known in chile ? What about guitar and flute - I thought panflute/flute and guitar are more public to countries around the andes mountains...
My camera is giving me serious problems and works only for some minutes... beside the fact, that making music is my primary aim here and receiving feedback for improvements or new ideas. I respect your wish... but can not make it true - at least not at the moment. I am working very hard on TAKE FIVE. This takes all my energy and time at the moment. Sorry.
I like the fact that it sounds so professional. There are no mistakes, excellent harmony, and the reverberation is amazing. So, that's what makes it so beautiful and nice to listen to :P
You name the reasons why you think the way you think. This is a positive feedback to me - even if you would say something negative about my playing, the recording, cutting or arrangement, video or what ever...
I'd like to be all comments here like yours !
You're very helpful for a musician - thank you again.

She is my personal favorite - and playing a bit different version. Never mind, her playing in church is outstanding, really !
