  • Its kind of ironic how the Ashru (the glide thing) makes you invincible to my knowledge when the animation is playing. Yet the Super/Ultra Raging Demon starts with an Ashru that doesn't make you unhittable.

  • @matthew21635 The teleport is invincible from the beginning. Super has no invulnerability at all and Ultra has brief (4 frames) invincibility. It's what makes the game function fairly, the animations don't regulate the properties.

  • Really this is just an exhibition, there's no real point in using this in a match considering it's essentially a guessing game. If you're going to use Akuma's super during a game, you're much better off using a kara, made very easy in IV due to relaxed inputs.

  • @his1nightmare I never questioned it not working but my idea would be you throwing an air fireball and they jump but your super/ultra starts up as soon as you hit the ground so they're either going to jump or block and as they land or recover from that block stun the super/ultra will catch them

    iirc, air fireball has no frame advantage, this means, doesn't matter if the enemy is stunned by hit or by block, he will be able to react at the exact frame like you

    so you can use Akuma's Ultra, or his super, in both cases the attack will least long enough to grab the enemy after the 20-24 frames stun, but the enemy will be able to react first since both, super and ultra, need 1 frame to connect, and this one frame you don't have

  • I probably explained it a bit wrong since frame advantage is not the exact thing I speak about, but the fact is, in any case; if you use Akuma's super/ultra while the enemy is stunned, he is always the one to react first, as long as his move has no startup time/contains i-frames (any ultra, jump, ...)

    I mean as the fireball is about land you start up cause either the guys going to jump out of the way of the fireball or block it and if he goes for the block block stun ultra connect, jumps dodges fireball BUT DOSEN'T DODGE DEMON grab...

    absolutely doesn't matter if your fireball hits or not, your enemy will be the first one being able to connect an attack, either from the air or from the ground, either if he get hit or not... as long as he attacks with an attack which will not cause your Ultra to connect

    ya the air fire ball to demon will not work. if they block the fireball they will have a block stun and demon will not grab them. they can jump out right after the block stun. same with your opponent getting hit by the air fireball. the stun from the hit of the fireball wont allow you to grab them until the animation is done. but your opponent can jump out of it by that time as well. only noobs will actaully get hit by your demon

  • no they wont. they can jump out of it. ive tried it and it dsnt work. you can land it if they dnt counter you or jump. but no one good will ever let you land the demon on them like that. it cant be comboed into either except from focus attack

  • i will try this now. I know it doesnt work with the Ultra version when you punch someone (unless they move) for somereason you cant grab if they are alreayd being hit. But im not sure about projectiles

    normal attacks may cancel into ultra however.

    You may cancel into Super Combo from most special moves. Fireball easiest and most obvious, but you can light punch.srk, lp, f+lk+hp and you will super demon. Won't catch of course.

  • super demon is a waste imo. rather just save it for shoryu cancels/hado cancels.

  • I've actually used this and it's worked. Good for friendly casual type stuff, anyone else at high level play would probably jump. It's all good fun.

  • hahahaha I pulled this in Champ mode around 3 times after a forward Throw. The shit is perfectly spaced. Also people who commented who are dicks.... yeah its basically worthless at high level play but since almost everybody isn't at high lvl of play online I like to fuck around too. Jeez its like everybody jumps on the hate train right away.
