  • you know what maybe sean avery is an asshole can you honestly tell me he is any more of an asshole than someone like alex ovechkin? Can you tell me Martin Brodeur is not an asshole? Really there are so many guys in the NHL who have no class and the one name thats constantly brought up is sean avery who is playing in the minors right now. Then you look around the NHL whats chara like 6 foot 8 and he throws dirty hits all the time

  • Sean Avery was playing Bob Dill of the Rangers.

Just in case any of you are curious, nothing even remotely similar to this ever happened.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is a movie. Avery wasn't owned because it was scripted. He was suppose to fall down and look like he got hit bad. Shut up already.

  • hey look avery getting owned, some things will never change

  • At 3:38, Mike Ricci never looked better... great player; and.. great movie! Maybe someday the whole movie will be up. One of several good hockey movies. Also check out "Gross Misconduct",

"Youngblood", "Les Boys", and I'm sure I'm leaving something out.

  • @JoelsBlawg well obviously he died one day... May 27th 2000 if my memory is good.

  • Whenever I'm mad at Avery I watch this. Seriously, how good does it feel to watch Avery getting punched by Richard? Good as hell.

  • the scene actually begin at 6.20

  • The old Garden (1925-1968) was known as the Mecca of Boxing... and fights like this one and Gordie Howe vs. Lou Fontinato are part of that legend.

Hockey movies are easier to film than baseball or football because, on the inside, the buildings aren't nearly as distinctive. You can just get stock footage of the outside.

  • This role wasnt a real stretch for Sean Avery was it? Hes always been a dick.

  • Despite the fact that I truly despise the Canadiens as a franchise, I really did enjoy this movie, and this piece of ownage was probably my favorite part (mostly because Sean Avery gets his ass kicked xD)

  • Sean Avery. An asshole since 1952.

  • Comment removed

  • avery hopped over the boards just to get his ass beat again lol

  • What movie is this?

  • @Schnids1655 the rocket

  • quit speaking spanish! in english please!

  • Did Maurice Richard die?

  • Ha. This is why Hockey is such a great sport, and why Richard is still remembered today<3

  • EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP! Would you stop arguing over these two Great players? I like the way Sean Avery pisses off people! I do that and I'm a goalie! SO FUCK OFF YOU COCK SUCKING, PUSS DRINKING CANADIANS! Also, Broduer is a pussy! GO FLYERS!

  • WOULD EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK IP! God dam, would stop arguing over these to great players. Sean Avery is one of my favorite players. I like the way he pisses people off. I like doin that to, and I'm a goalie! SO FUCK OFF YOU COCK SUCKING, PUSS DRINKING CANADIANS! USA! USA! USA! And

  • @MrFlyersFreak Canada: Gold U.S.A.: Silver Take the canadian players off your precious flyers and there goes half your roster. Hahaha! Suck my balls bitch!

  • @aieljose what, and so do i care..? No

  • @MrFlyersFreak You don't have to care as long as you understand.

  • CASSES-Y SA YEULE TABARNACK

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH RICHARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Oh look, Canadian players owning at hockey in his time....2011: oh look Canadian players owning at hockey. Would you look at that! Some things arnt meant to change boys... Go Canada!!!!

  • @lanied55 If Mexico was frozen all year long they'd produce better players than Canada. Name one thing Canada is better at than the rest of the world that does not involve ice, snow, or winter effected terrain.

  • @Subzeppelin1 Education

  • @Subzeppelin1 affected* I guess they teach better spelling and grammar.

  • @Subzeppelin1 Georges St-Pierre

  • @Subzeppelin1 being good people.

  • @Subzeppelin1 lol are you serious? That's soooo dumb. Look at who is the major exporter of oil and electricity to the U.S... you're nothing without us.... bitch.

  • @Subzeppelin1 how about paying our fucking bills u redneck piece of fucking shit. thanks for bankrupting the western hemisphere

  • @lanied55 Come down south & play some football with REAL men ya hocky puck sucking pussy! LMAO!

  • @lanied55 I'm pretty sure American Hockey has grown in talent and has expanded a lot more than Canadian hockey since 2010

  • @tehredhatkid I can debate that...sure their talent has grown...mostly their money however.

  • @lanied55 maybe cause canada is the only country giving a fuck about hockey lol

  • @goodhitsofthesummer then why are the states paying up so much if they dont care?

  • @goodhitsofthesummer There's 572,411 registred hockey players in Canada, and still ur not dominating very hard anylonger.. kinda sad lol. You should win every single year but u dont lol.

  • @lanied55 obviously you havent heard the news ? Maple Leafs are in 12th Place in the NHL right now.. oh ya, they are really owning that ice rink right about now huh. pretty sure Detriot red wings are in first place

  • @mrtinkertoyboy just because itis an american team it does not mean it is only americans on the team... many canadians play on american teams. and toronto has a lot of americans on the team...

  • @lanied55 with NY rangers in SECOND.

  • @mrtinkertoyboy like i said below, Canadians move to american teams for the money.

  • @mrtinkertoyboy oh, and there really was no point in capitalizing "SECOND"

  • i wanted to continue watching :(

  • maurice richard rock!!!

  • 3:49 c'est là que l'action commence!

  • GO HABS GO!

  • Fuck Off Conn Smythe

  • @delorme9 lol

  • Of course they got avery for that role, no hockey player alive is a better actor.

  • Three times

  • AVERY SUCK !!!

  • im a rangers fan and even i hate avery.

  • GO HABS GO :D

  • after he chirped him he wanted him.. fail LOL

  • French-Canadians these days are nothing compared to this.

  • imagine a french guy fighting

  • @NYR10 imagine your mom sucking my balls

  • They don't make hockey players like that anymore. Maurice was truly once in a lifetime kind of player... truly one of the best the game will ever see.

  • we watched this in french class :D

  • @Phenixreviewz@superthunderlips Funny little fagots

  • EPIC

  • Maurice Richard is my great great grandfather! R.I.P. Rocket.

  • Ahhhh.....does everyone realize this is a movie? It's Maurice Richard vs Bob Dill, not Maurice Richard vs Sean Avery. Like most of us Sean Avery wasn't born when Richard was playing in the NHL..........Hab fans are not only arrogant pricks, they are EXTREMELY DUMB.

  • @SuperThunderlips Did you really tought that we didn't know that? Common! We just love seeing Avery getting beat up by Roy Dupuis!

  • @tigars53 No shit captain obvious..........

  • @SuperThunderlips I'M captain obvious? You were the one who felt compelled to reassure us that this was a movie...

  • @tigars53 And your the one who felt the need to explain to me that I didn't get the joke..........I was returning the joke.......you must be a real whiz kid.....

  • @SuperThunderlips I was kinda contesting the fact that you used it to call habs fans "arrogant prick" and "extremely dumb". You can't just expect people you just insulted to think this was in fact a joke and not just plain hating (or was it?)

  • @tigars53 Seriously.....kill yourself. get over it. it was a joke you did not understand. shut the fuck up.

  • @SuperThunderlips fuck yourself dipshit. It's not a god damn fucking joke to make

  • @PhenixReviewz shut up toolbox........stop jerkin off to a guy that has been retired for many decades. Oh yeah FUCK YOU TOO.

  • @SuperThunderlips Hey fuck off you fucking english dipshit. Suck on my fucking dick you fucking faggot

  • bousculer ce nest pas assommer

  • Avery looks hot here

  • GO HABS GO

  • The funniest part about this, this movie cameout months BEFORE Avery was traded to the Rangers from LA, that is the only reason why he could have been in this was because he was in LA at the time. If it was during his Rangers era then he probably would have worn #16.

  • I think the Habs should go back to the white uni with the wide blue stripes seen at the beginning of the clip for their away games , rather than the ugly whites they wear now...and while I'm at it, the Leafs alternate (1966) jersey should be made permanent, realistic leaf and all

  • Damn 3 KO One Hit :O Hes A real !!

  • seeing conn smythe offer that money, remembering the story behind it, it makes me laugh that much harder when i see a montreal canadien like the great patrick roy be awarded the conn smythe trophy. fuck toronto and their piece of shit hockey team.

  • What song is playing at 4:00-5:00 and where can I find it?

  • tis movie is epic

  • Rofl get owned. "killer"

  • I don't want a see a Maurice today I want to see Maurice Richard.

  • awesome! :o)

  • I DONT WANNA SEE MAURICE TONIGHT I WANNA SEE THE ROCKET

  • Truly a great moment in cinema.

  • I will pay $125,000 to anyone who will do that to avery in a real game! lol hilarious!

  • YEAHHHHHHH Personne peut batre mauriice :D

  • VIVE MAURICE RICHARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • what is the tune playing from 4:00 to 5:10?

  • SUBTITLES ?????????

  • lol quebec is like the tough version of france

  • @jackstein104 oui oui mon ami

  • @jackstein104 whats even funnier if you throw today's N/A and European languages accents in the pot of stew, the same can be said with the ROC and UK

  • @jocolope (if ROC means rest of canada) im from alberta and im not english so it doesn't really work as well

  • @jackstein104 you write english good enough, no matter, franco albertans are not parisian sounding either but they still live in the ROC

  • @jocolope You are supposed to capitalize the E in English. May be you should have paid attention in the fourth grade.

    A French Canadian

  • @yfrancoeur, tell that to Sister Elena my 4th grade french, math, religion etc. teacher in Mtl since she taught me that maybe is one word. Merci bien!

  • @jackstein104 Stfu , it's not you dumbfuck.

  • @3Carnifex you better had been drunk when you said that LOL

  • @jackstein104 Rofl , i was:P

  • @jackstein104 ahahahahaha vrai!

  • The funniest thing, is that given Avery's wide array of interests outside of hockey, he *should* be a likable guy. But he's not. And after watching this, I realize it's something intangible about him. It's the way he looks, his attitude, I don't know. But something is there that just makes you think "this guy is a weasel."

  • in te beging i love those white candian jerseys withe the blue and red stripes

  • LESS REMEMBERED FOR THIS TYPE OF STUFF BUT RICHARD WAS FIERCE, FEARLESS AND HAD A BIT OF A MEAN STREAK IN HIM.....

  • 7:14 guy skates buy in a t-shirt

  • To start with I am a Habs fan, and i believe that every hockey fan (except rangers fans) hate Avery because he his a pest on the ice (and makes racist comments towards french players ex: Lapierre)...

I admire him, he does his job exceptionally well, and accepting to be beaten up by a frenchman in this movie only proves that it his a role he plays...his job on the ice is to destabilize the other team, and he does it very well...Avery on the ice is not Avery off the ice, as a person...it's hockey

  • @elquebecomagico well put my sir. ( i am a rangers fan btw)

  • @elquebecomagico wat avry needs is some one like scott stevens to end his career by drilling the shit outa him HTATS WAT AVRY NEEDS

  • @elquebecomagico he's better than Matt Cooke XD

  • @elquebecomagico woooo avery rules

  • @elquebecomagico perfectly said i share the same fanships and opinions.. how amazing would it be to have sean avery in MTL? especially against boston or toronto..

  • @cWoSeanIcon As a Habs fan, I can honestly say "No thanks"; Avery should stick to making movies

  • @elquebecomagico A jerk is a jerk no matter where they are Avery's style of play doesn't belong in the NHL if some kid starts to idolizes Avery and plays hockey the way he's going to get hurt and then the NHL is going to be in trouble

  • @elquebecomagico Well put

  • @elquebecomagico Avery on ice and Avery off ice is one same person : a prick. He accepted this role because he is an attention whore.

  • Répondre à cette vidéo... Aaaah you cut just when Avery was tasting some. Grrr... But seriously... i wish i could see the real fight !

  • @elquebecomagico No, he's exactly the same off the ice. Dion Phaneuf: picking up his sloppy seconds. Martin Brodeur: Fatso there just forgot to shake my hand. What pisses me off about that last one was that he insinuates that people should think Brodeur to be unclassy and not him. He didn't want to shake your hand in the first place because you are constantly a classless act, him not putting up with your bullshit is in no way unclassy.

  • The Rangers had a chance to trade for Richard in 41, but since he had broken his ankle and scored only 5 goals in the NHL, Rangers GM Lester Patrick refused. I sure wish he didn't, Rangers might have won a cup or two more. Canadiens were just stacked though, they were the Yankees of the NHL.

  • Fortunately for hockey and all who love it, the real "Killer Dill"'s career was short-lived, he was released by the Rangers as soon as the legitimate NHL players came back from serving in WW2; and no one else ever picked him up.

  • This is the all-time best movie ever written about hockey, and, its all true!

  • BOOOOOOM! HEADSHOT!

  • exquisite acting by sean avery...in real life heed beat the pants off of retard richard

  • @DustyDinkleman26

Richard was one tough sob... pretty sure avery would have his hands full.

  • @DustyDinkleman26 ; not likely, Richard trained as a boxer and won a jr title in his youth

  • kicks his ass richard!!!

  • that was fucking retarded he just lets the rocket punch him 3 times

  • @CPhockeyplayer

Well that's what happen (3 KOs), not that the Ranger players simply let him punch... The Ranger probably didn't thought Richard was this though.

  • hey dude what song is this?

  • I thought avery would try and demonstrate a little acting skills??? How does the self proclaimed best trash talker have zero lines and zero effectiveness in looking a tough guy in the 40s...... and im sorry that is what hockey fights dont look like , two one punches ?

  • @PocketHercules99

That'S in fact what happened. They probably also trashed talk a lot less than these days.

  • @mathloiselle I'm pretty sure trash talking happened a lot then. I've never heard anything different.

  • lol, this is awesome. You're STILL making a fool of yourself. I went ot UdM law too. When were you there iNosm? Didier and Chevrette were my favs. :P

  • @Gdsm9 Haha nice! I graduated from there 4 years ago. Leclair would probably want to set this guys straight, but he probably wouldn't listen even if the PhD was sitting right in front of his face!

  • @Gdsm9

Says the guy that dismissed (or forgot) the Lower Canada rebellions in his summary and implied René Lévesque invented Québec separatism.

    =D

  • @Vineon No implication. You inferred. And the rebellions are very dismissable, since their cause has been perverted by the seperatist cause. I'm not back to argue with you because you're either too arrogant or too brainwashed, or both, to see reason. But when you are on your deathbed, and Quebec is still proud to be Canadian, I hope you think about me dancing on your grave singing The Maple Leaf Forever.

    Peace out girlscout.

  • @Gdsm9

    Bravo =)

  • @Vineon I said practically invented during the Levesque era - or some words to that effect. You heard what you wanted. And I said that the French and English lived together without any problems. The rebellions were not about language, so you would do yourself a favour by not twisting it into that. The rebellions were because certain colonists (both Englsish and French) didn't like the way the government was being ran.

    Quelle ignorance.

  • @Vineon "In Days of yore,

    From Britain's shore

    Wolfe the dauntless hero came

    And planted firm Britannia's flag

    On Canada's fair domain."

I think that's why he picked it.

  • @Gdsm9

    Maple Leaf Forever.

    =)

  • @Vineon I picked the Maple Leaf Forever because it's very noticeable. I could have very easily picked Oh Canada, but then you'd have just said, "oh well, why don't you choose something REALLY Canadian and sign Maple Leaf? Or God Save the Queen? I'm a big douchebag and can't make any real arguments!"

You don't have a nation. You're part of a minority of French-Canadians with unreasonable and ridiculous pipe dreams.

  • @Gdsm9 LOL. You're my hero.

  • @Gdsm9

  • @Vineon I'm not getting sucked in by you into more arguing. I said I was done with you and I meant it. You're such a loser it's incredible. But you'll no doubt need to have the final word because you're a child and more then likely believe that it means you "won" the argument, so by all means. Go ahead. Prove me right. Enjoy the "Win". I'll be warming up my vocal chords.

  • @Gdsm9

  • And you might not give a fuck about french losing ground in Québec but it happens the Québécois do. Obviously, it is an issue we need to handle ourselves considering how little people like you seem to care.

English in America will never be demographically threatened, I suppose I cannot blame you from being incapable to put yourself in someone else's shoes.

Still waiting for you to show me your "perfect bilingualism". Try a whole post in french for a change.

  • @Vineon You know, I was very tempted to go and get all the citations and stats you ask for, but here's the thing... I'm not a loser. Maybe you lack enough of a life to get into an argument on the internet, but I don't. I'm willing to devote 30 seconds of my lunch/breakfast break to you - and that's all. I can tell just by memory that some of the crap you're parading around as fact is complete bullshit. And if you want to treat this as an academic paper, be my guest. You're sad and I'm out.

  • @iNosm

So you have no citations and you have no stats, that is the only way to properly conclude.

It seems you have no interest to back anything you're saying, what a shame. You just lack the balls to admit that is because you can't.

    =(

  • @iNosm

The only people with rights to be educated in french or english in provinces where they are minorities are the groups highlighted by section 23 of the Charter of Rights. Roughly, the english minority in Québec and the french minorities in the rest of Canada.

Under Canadian laws, you don't have rights that allow you to be educated in a language that isnt your first language or that of your parents.

  • Québec is also the province most accepting of homosexuality. It was the first juridiction larger than a city in the world to condemn discrimination based on sexual orientation in its charter of rights. It took Québec's help for gays to get equal rights for mariage considering all 75 Québec MPs voted in favor a few years ago, tipping the vote.

You can leave aside the racist remarks and try not to sound like one yourself. You certainly did manage to sound like a homophobe in your insults anyway.
