There was nothing like this trilogy--they will always be linked as they brought the greatness out of one another. RIP Smokin' Joe. Ali, keep on keepin' on.
I'm filipino, I have to say even Manny Pacqiuao has became one of the greatest and supported it with his credentials, But he will never be as great as a The Great Mohammad Ali, with his charisma, character, and intelligence.
@quadroon12 Man you must be on the wrong video because neither Frazier or Ali were assholes, but Ali is the greatest sportsman ever so you're right on that.
I've met Ali. He is a good man. I'd venture that Joe is too. I hope that they reconcile their differences before one of them passes. Neither would have been who they are without the other.
Smokin' Joe was one cool because he was rare. Most sluggers punch themselves out after a few rounds. Smokin' Joe could go fifteen rounds at full power. Amazing.
Joe Frazier was not rare at all,the world is full of Joe Fraziers,no style,no jab, just hooks, you can find him all night long, very very easy to hit.....
Joe wasn't easy to hit Ali even said he was the hardest thing he ever tried to hit, he could duck and slip punches thats when he started to bov and weave when he fought Ali for the first time
@tommyali57 Oh please man, find me ONE clip where Ali say's Joe frazier was hard to hit and i'll show you 10 where he says the opposite.A fighter who actually liked it when you hit him, looked like mashed potato after every fight, months in hospital, even his sparing partners hit him all day, always in range, slow, gets hit and goes straight back for more Joe Frazier..
Ali told Angelo Dundee and Fredie Pacheco and once Ali was retired they said so in Interviews I don't have the exact clips but I have seen it and why the hell would I even lie about somthing like this, and Ali always said before all his fights POP POP POP his opponents all night long
Nor mine I'm an Ali fanatic all the way but he underestimated joe in this fight and didn't dance like he should of. This was the not real Ali, far from it. he danced like should have in the 2nd ane won that convincingly in my opinion. Imagine Ali in his prime years from 67-70...how can a man lose the best years of his life and still be the greatest?? What an athlete and what a person.
Ok we must give this one to Joe cos he deserves it.Everything that happens, happens for the best.If Ali had not been off those 3 years, his career would not have gone on as long,it was a blessing in disguise..I've just realized in training, when you get up on the balls of your feet, your breathing & stamina improves instantly. Its not about dancing, its more movement...
i know ali is a such a big Louivillelip as joe frazier says :P he shows off in front of the crowd now look at ali :| joe frazier once said " god will sting you up, your ass." and he was right
Joe Frazier was no perfect man either. He lives in the back of a gym in philadelphia because he lost all his money to alcoholism...Ali is still rich as ever. Take blow after blow and lose all the money you earned for it on booze...

@vgr112261 both are good hearted people and i think its just ignorant to say that either of them are assholes...

@bigD2387 I would say that they really enjoyed spending time each with each other. They were smilling even in fights.

He said this before the first bout, before he realised that frazier had implemented his improved duck and weave style.
