The US had a lot of international sympathy after the attacks of 20110911. They even had support to go into Afghanistan and eradicate AQ and the Taliban.
They almost had OBL in Tora Bora, but failed to send in reinforcements. Then they made up reasons, (Nigerian Yellow Cake, and Aluminum Tubes) to frame Iraq. Somehow they succeeded in pushing that through. "Hey we know they have WMDs We kept the reciepts."
From Bush's own mouth it became clear is was a christian war.
If you would like to know what is really going on in Iraq, don't listen to these media hacks, listen to the people doing the work. Get iTunes and watch items from MNFWest, such as "The Anbar Report" or "Freedom Journal Iraq" you will find that much of what Obama is claiming for himself was actually planned long before he was elected. You will also see first hand what is happening over there.
the whole point of invading Iraq was to stake out a central attack position in the middle east. They don't care about the oil there, the technological shifts will move us away from oil and they are well aware of that. Iraq was just a step in the agenda of the Builderbergs and they are quite happy about what is happening to the us economy because social chaos gives them more reason to militarize the US.
the oil is going to China...the US blew it big time--murdering the locals is just bad policy--especially compared with China's approach which is we don't care about your politics we want your resources, we will pay for them and build infrastructure. They are doing this all over Asia and Africa...they get what they want--and nobody dies...radical idea!
It's funny the way this agreement is being portrayed in the media , as a means of disengaging from Iraq , like you need a treaty to withdraw !laughs . The sofa agreement is the means by which the us will occupy Iraq for decades ! and the only thing to stop this will be a new wave of insurgent violence with us casualties going to 06/07 levels ,with the American people forcing obama to withdraw !
there are parallels between Johnson /Nixon and bush /obama !
I don't know how familiar you people are with the history of Rome but just before the fall of the Roman Republic and its replacement by the Roman Empire there were two leaders one after the other: Pompey and then Julius Caesar, both of whom had imperial ambitions and were authoritarian. The difference was that Pompey was open about it and thus lost power, Caesar concealed it by acting like a populist and it was Caesar who won. Obama, like Bush is an imperial president - there are parallels.
Have you listened to the Michael Parenti speech "The Assination of Julius Ceaser" or read the book? The speech is on U-Tube. Good stuff, you can find it on my favs if you haven't.
Interesting view. I wonder how that story will end up in the history books - maybe the Iraqi people will once get the reputation of the Germanic tribes, who with their resistance started the end of the Roman domination.
With all due respect, Mr Schwartz still doesn't get it about US aims in Iraq. Saddam's crime was his threat to break from OPEC, turn to other currencies for the sale of Iraq's oil. Saddam wanted out of OPEC because they, as with the US, want production and refinement at scarcity levels to exact higher prices. The US won in Iraq. It stopped (temporarily) the sale of oil in Euros and Yaun, and shut off the oil supply to raise prices (the dollar is a petro-dollar). $ for the already wealthy!
Guess it is a question who's aims got fulfilled. Maybe the rich class won, but the US itself lost a lot of its influence and power in the long run. If they have to lend money from the other super powers to wage the next war, then their options are limited.
Actually, I agree - I do not know, but assume the US will give not a damn to those agreements and just stay anyways. They usually don't really care, since they still have the military power.
The US breaks any and/or ALL "agreemnts" it wants at ANY time. If a country makes an official "agreement" with the US you can count on it being in the wealthy investors interest AT THAT MOMENT.
They have no problem at ALL with cheating or lying.
Bush & Cheney have OPENLY laughed at treaties, pacts & agreements as they broke them.
Native American "treaties" are EXCELLENT examples of this tactic.
I am ABSOLUTELY convinced that the US "agreements" with Iraq are simply to buy time.
That is part of the AIPAC agenda. Just think about it. Public opinion was ignored to go into Iraq. The public were lied to, Iraq was not a threat to America, but was a threat to Israel. Right now they are stealing billions from the American tax payers to hand over to the jewish-run financial scammers. Obama's appointments are almost exclusively Jews/Zionists. He was financed by GoldmanSachs and most of the other jewish banking cartels. Thats just scratching the surface.. wake up! Read. Know. DO.
Of course they do. That should be obvious to just about anyone who has been following the events in the world. Check out this website, wakeupfromyourslumber d0t c0m
Dont you see how the presidential candidates ALL had to go grovel to AIPAC and pledge their unconditional support for Israel? Did they have to do that for any other country?
why? what's your evidence that the 'zionist state' (whatever that is... i don't think either america or israel are exclusively zionist) is more important than oil? do you have some kind of psychic link with the us government, cause if not you need to give facts to back up your statement.

This war is the cause of the economic mess.
The Iraq war cost was by far the load that broke the back of the American economy. It was NOT a housing bubble.
The houses are still worth what they were in 90% of the country. The media hype keeps the so called crash going.
The Iraq war killed the economy and I and many others saw this clearly before the war.
The Neocons are a clear and present danger.

What a mess, Iraq makes Vietnam look like a win. I guess the whole globe's going to pay for this screw up.

This is NOT a failure.
The US will never give up their 22 permanent bases in Iraq. Never.
The bases are used to CONTROL oil and to attack other muslim countries.

AIPAC is fully in control of Obama. America is occupied territory.

how is it in his control when he wants to actually get off oil??

could be a good clip, but the audio is hard to listen to on Pepe's part -- it is clipping and is distorted from such high volume.
