  • what a great birthday gift from his uncle. it would be great to go back in time to see relatives that you love and miss

  • i never saw the chronicles but prob wont as i love the movies too much

  • @disturbedgremlin

You can enjoy both as long as you treat them as separate universes.

  • @MisterRandom2

    mmm true

  • "your father always had a nice arm." its so weird that he is talking in past tense when he is right there infront of him.

  • Man, I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it that FOX killed this show just as it ended on a great Season 2 cliffhanger. I loved this show, and like everything I love on FOX, FOX kills it!

I love the bit where Derek mentions that Kyle "always had a great arm". My memory may be a bit off, but I wonder if that's a reference to Kyle throwing pipe bombs at the Terminator in the original movie?

  • I thought it funny that the tv series shows teenage John Connor meeting his dad as a kid for the first time and in the movies Adult John Connor meets him as a teenager.

  • I remember crying at this scene.

  • ha its like in T. salvation when they meet again. lol

  • I love that part of the move.

  • @KATANANINJA Um , Salvation`s ACTUALLY John and Kyle`s CANONICAL First Meeting ! Chronicles is An Alternate Timeline from T3 and Salvation ! Though Marcus` " Creation " is similar to how Cromartie gets his " New Skin " ( albeit not as gross )and like Chronicles , they have A Non-Coated Terminator speaking !

  • Yeah I do

  • That explains a lot.

  • Are you enjoying yourself? Is this how you get your kicks? Whining and bitching on Youtube?

  • belief. hope. faith. that what Terminator series was about the belief that humans can win the war. john connor = the hope. and faith to have kept on fighting

that what the bible is its faith so i believe in it and it gives me hope.

  • @Sami6894 amen

  • No, you shouldn't because they material in question shouldn't exist because it's not part of the story.

It's just there to milk more money from fools like yourself.

  • Well, whining about it isn't going to make it disappear.

  • Ok, wow...

If this is what you're like in regards to fiction, I'd hate to see what you're like when it comes to real life.

  • just because the creator did not grace the new material, doesn't mean you can't find enjoyment or greatness in it with an open mind. thus people will watch it whether or not they know the creator had no input. that's all i'm saying.

  • Good, because your a bunch of fools.

All I am saying is I am sick of this along with T3 and Salvation being thrown in with the 2 masterpieces that are the first 2 Terminators, when the creator has stated that T2 is the end. Judgement Day CAN'T HAPPEN. That is how T2 left things, hence the T-800's sacrifice was to ensure it.

I wish they used that damn future coda ending in T2 then we wouldn't have this dribble.

I take the word of the creator over the money makers and idiot so called fans.

  • Comment removed

  • And you're close minded and have a very limited imagination.

Again, there are such things as "alternate timelines" - you know, things that allow both James Cameron's "pure" Terminator universe to exist simultaneously with other possible outcomes. Don't you remember what they said in T1: The future is not set.

And you do realize that there were post-T2 novels and comics published even before any of this stuff came out. You think people who bought and read that stuff too are idiots?

  • @snake2006 i understand this. i think we all do. i find that everything after T2 aren't nearly as enjoyable because it doesn't match up to the mastermind's work. the difference between you and me is i'm not a closed minded fucking prick who must completely disregard anything james cameron didn't touch, and to shove it down the open minded's throats. you might as well disregard the critically acclaimed star trek movie (which creates an alternate timeline), as gene roddenberry died 18 years ago.

  • Again, moaning and bitching isn't going to change anyone's opinions.

  • @snake2006 technically, it all goes together. the mini series is what fucked shit up.

  • Because I am sick and tired of people calling this Terminator or even associating it with Terminator when it is CLEARLY NOT FUCKING TERMINATOR when the fucking creator himself said the series was done at 2, then its fucking done at 2.

  • Look, if you don't consider this "true" Terminator or whatever, then fine. You're entitled to your opinion. But there are people out there (including me) who think this does count as part of the Terminator franchise. Moaning and bitching isn't going to change those people's minds. Just walk away, all right?

  • it is....SO wierd to think that John Connor is actually Kyle's son.

like just imagine it, Kyle as a man having a conversation with John as old as he is right now

you can't do it, can you???

  • Ever heard that James Cameron the fucking creator has said that T2 is the fucking end?

  • Okay, dude, if you don't like this, then WHY THE FRAK ARE YOU WATCHING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE??????

  • Judgement Day didn't change dates. James Cameron himself as stated that T2 eradicated the threat.

    The end, its that simple.

  • Ever heard of "alternate timelines/universes"?

  • Too bad the show along with T3 and Salvation are crap and shouldn't be counted.

Kyle grew up after Judgement Day, simple as that.

  • I don't understand why people have such a hard time with this concept, its really not that confusing. Kyle's birthdate never changed. Judgement day changed from August 29,1997 (before Kyle's birth) to April 21, 2011 (after Kyle's brith) due to events in second Terminator movie (T2). Just like Derek was not the same Derek Jessie knew becasue of events that changed after he went back in time. The Kyle Sarah knew is not the same Kyle that now exists in the future.

  • I must admit i havent watched the TSCC .....only terminator movies....but all movies with time-machines must be against logic because of time paradox.....

1.if Kyle Reese exist in one time and made John, then he cant exist in future.....

2.if he exist in future somebody (but not his son who is not create) can send him back to make John

  • Not really one thing kyle time travels so he disapeers from the future but he is supposed to cause all of the records say he was never born.Second he fucked johns mom so she has john still.

  • actually kyle reesee volunteered to travel n time...but in fact sarah connor changed the future by telling john who hes father was...so t4 was about findig and pretecring kyle so there was a john connor

  • There are multiple time line spots. you can jump to any one of them, there is a kyle in the past in the future and in the present. If there was only 1 kyle on the entire timeline then you couldnt have kyle at all. If hes only in the past when he made john then he couldnt have been a kid and grown up.

  • Kyle is ALWAYS John's father. Nothing can change that.

Kyle Reese was born after the war, T2 ended the threat of Judgement day.

  • You left out my favorite line in the entire series about "doing whatever it takes from watching it burn again."

  • what gets me is that this kyle is born before j day due to the events in the movie, so then it is possible that kyle did not have a brother in the original timeline rite?

  • one of my favorite scenes of the show.

  • wikipedia says he's born in 2002

  • That was so...sweet. I always thought John must feel odd being, technically, "older" than his dad...

  • Cause it happened in judgement day at leats know what your talking about dumbass.

  • At least know what you're talking about, who cares anyways, this show is so crap. Its so stupid it would have been so much better if it was cannon but instead they made this shit.

  • actually the show got better reviews than other media and it had alot of fans.Plus there isn't a real way to make the serious cannon this was made so they could do what they wanted so goodbye.

  • yeah, this scene was so amazing, if i were john i´d probably go crazy...see my dad at that age! so innocent and peaceful and so doomed... but at least sarah gave kyle the opportunity to see a world without war at least 3 or 5 years because in T2 she postponed Judgement day from 97 to 2005. kyle was born in 2002. and still i asked how is that possible, that kyle father john in original time...do you know what i mean?

  • wat does the ice cream drip have to do w/ anything?

  • so....john connor.... the lider of the resistence... he was emo ... well.. wtf !

  • why.. because of his hair? barely. check edward furlong in T2. much more "emo."

  • hahahahah thats true !

  • lol maybe my future husband will come from 50 years in future and he would be my grandson. That's what you call Grandfather Paradox xD

  • If i was skynet, would of made a male terminator called kyle reese and sent it back in time to trick john connor... "John connor..I am your father!!" "holy shit..but why u pointing the gun at me"

  • the problem is that only sarah, john and derek knows that kyle is john's father. skynet doesn't.

  • Heck, it's implied that Kyle didn't even know.

  • the sarah conner chronicles ARE NOT supposed to follow the things set in the movies. not because of timelines, not because of paralell universes, simply because the writers could take the show in more directions. if different time lines existed then technicly jon conner would not exist, because his birth represents a set path of time.

  • yeah.. a very big mindfuck!!!

  • That is a Mind Fuck

  • if i were john and saw my dad as a kid i would literally shit myself

  • this is wrong, in terminator 1, kyle says he was born into the war, this is bull shit

  • estoy toatlmente de acuerdo!

  • Actually, the series takes place in a different timeline of events, where Judgement Day is delayed. It was made clear in the first episode. Which means in this particular timeline, Kyle wasn't born into the war. In the first Terminator movie, Kyle mentions that the future he came from is only a possible future. It changes because of time travel. That's one of the main themes in the movies and the series. "The future's not set. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves."

  • i agree

  • In Salvation,Kyle is also said to have been born before the war.The first film`s Kyle was born in 2009(yep,that`s right). The one on Chronicles was born in 2002.Salvation`s Kyle is 16 which would place his birth sometime in 2002,as well.

  • no no in terminator 1 he said he was born in 2003..

  • so ur saying in the first film kyle was 18 since he was born in 2009 and was sent back in 2027

  • Right, right! Now it makes sense!

  • Kyle was born in 2002 in all timelines.

  • In T1 Kyle said he was born after the war.

In T2, judgement day was 8/29/97. Blowing up Cyberdine postponed J Day.

In TSCC John and Sarah learned that judgment day had been postponed to 4/21/11.

Therefore, this new Kyle was born before judgement day.

Remember Derek was learning about how Jesse came from a different timeline then he came from due to changes he made while in the past When John went to the future ,he re-wrote history so he was not leader of the resistance.

  • so there are dif timelines, so whats the point of sending kyle back in the past, if the terminator killed sarah, connor would not just start fading away like in back to the future! and in tscc if they stop skynet, the terminators wont j ust fade away

  • lol T2 turned the events of the war and postponed it so he prolly wasnt born in it anymore

  • I know! That's exactly what i was thinking. Cause in the deleted scenes in T1, Kyle has sort of a brief emotional breakdown after looking around and taking the scenery in and says "I was never meant to see any of this...all of this is gone." He was born AFTER the war, not BEFORE. Great scene, if only it were true.

  • AAhh the paradox of time travel...

  • this really is a great scene!!!

  • This is one of my favorite scenes from the entire Terminator franchise. Dekker does a really good job showing John's emotion, while Green also does a good job as Derek.

  • I LOVE THIS SCENE.

  • So Derek has always known that John is his newphew

  • My fave scene...

  • i love this scene and i love this music too :D

  • His dad died back in 1984. He died be for he was born. That is so weird.

  • lol, Timje Travel will confuse ya like that

  • i hope john sees kyle somehow in salvation

  • he does.

  • this was such a touching scene

  • miggy25, I'm glad somebody else feels that way; that little line, "every time I look at you I see him", was surprisingly moving...hah, silly me getting choked up...

  • Say is this series takes place between T2 and T3? Right?

  • not T3, just after T2. this series ignores the 3rd and 4th movies.

  • Thanks, the reason im asking was because some dude told me this was a

    continuation from T3.

  • There are still many theories going around, but one thing that may be helpful to keep in mind is to think of every movie and production as a separate time-line.

This can be seen particularly with the technology in the future war-fare and how the Terminators are represented.

In T1, everything is rugged and terrible.

T2, Way more organized and intense.

T3, Way more smooth and sleek.

T4, Back to the rugged look with a bit of sleekness.

The past keeps on changing so the future changes as well...

  • um... i dont see any theories here. the movies all follow one timeline of john and sarah connor. whether or not they were "rugged and terrible" was how the directors wanted the movies to look. TSCC spins off (away from T3 and T4, into an alternate timeline) after T2.

  • Whatever man, just like how I think the Metal Gear Solid Series is basically a comic book, things keep on changing regardless of what the directors had in mind.

To further this theory, take T2 and T3 as an example, Judgment Day was postponed, thus technology slightly increased in terms of design, Skynet became a virus, and Skynet was launched later than what they said in T2.

T4 supposedly ignores T3 as well.

Some people even interpret the dreams as alternate realities, one where Reese dies, etc.

  • you're just pulling all this out of your ass. how does judgement day postponing make T3 an alternate from T2?! in T2 they destroyed the cyberdyne building so it would make sense that judgement day was postponed. T3 comes after T2. its the same timeline. the same john connor! T4 doesnt ignore T3. kate connor from T3 is there. the movies all follow one another in one timeline as sequels. the only alternate timeline we have is TSCC.

  • Not at all man, again, don't take it too seriously, it's a fan's interpretation, just as how another user on youtube made an interpretation on the Alien film involving symbolism of female and male genealogy.

I totally remember the T4 trailer saying something along the lines where John says "Something's changed, this isn't the future my mother warned me about..." "The devil's had his hands busy..." etc.

And besides, even if I am wrong, you still need to account for the grandfather paradox theory

  • Great Acting!

  • omg when he started crying i started crying becaause i lost my dad too wen i was about 4 :,(( i looooove TSCC!!

  • oh yeah thanks i 4got bout wut happened in T2. I saw the 1st one again 2day and saw this and the 2nd one just dissapeared from my mind lol thanks

  • in the tv show this got me confused because in the movie terminator doesnt kyle say his childhood was in hiding or something. maybe i got my facts wrong but this doesnt add up.

  • what do you mean "in hiding" or something? this timeline is different from T1 kyle's because in the second movie they postponed judgement day.

  • The best scene in season one. Brought a tear to my eye and a warm feeling to my heart.

  • wow wow wow!

even so the timeline is all messed up... its still awesome!

  • This was bound to happen. My favorite scene in the show

  • It were moments like these that made season 1 so awesome

  • i wish i was older than my dad then i could bos him about for once!!!

  • That would actually be right in a weird way.Reese would be younger then John cause he was born later but he is Johns Father.Man i wonder what that would be like?

  • that was so emotional.. i had a tear coming down because you can just feel how happy john was to finally see his father

  • yea :'-(

  • yeh he was happy to see his dad but you say finally see his dad why say that wen it was john that sent kyle bak in t1 so hes saw him before am i right kyle also states that john gave him a pic of sarah he didnt know why bu the has always loved her in that pic was the foto that was taken at the endof t1 wen she is pregnant with jon

  • TSCC follows a different timeline than the movies do....when they destroyed Cyberdyne in T2, they postponed Judgement Day and changed the future....TSCC is of a totally different timeline than the films

  • john always knew kyle reese was his father.. but this is the FIRST TIME john has seen kyle in present time.. how can teen john have memories of adult john, when it is yet to happen (meaning: when kyle joins the resistance) .. kyle reese KNEW sarah and only of ADULT john, he has no idea that he is the key part of the future.

  • Teen john dosen't have memories he is just looking at him every flashback to the future is from derek.

  • wow thats crazy...that was extremely cool (:

  • playground perverts just went sci fi! giggidy

  • Jesse, Oh God, she is the most smoking hot piece of ass since early Angelina Jolie years. Your talking about the asian-ish one right? Jesus

  • its very moving. it reminded me of the day i lost my father.

  • Anyone else here hate Jesse?

  • in terminator kyle said he was born after the war this is before the war i dont understand

  • they post-poned judgement day in T2, when they destroyed Cyberdyne.

  • In terminator Kyle also said that judgement day was a lot earlier that 2011. It was delayed because of the building they blew up in the second movie. In this timeline kyle was born before judgement day.

  • So many of the great scenes have Derek in them...like his brushing his teeth for 20 minutes, being mesmerizes by his bare feet in the grass, or watching the deer.

  • You see guys? NOTHING HAPPENS when you go back in time and meet your past self. No paradoxes. No universe exploding.

The 4th Dimension, time, just gets a little more complicated if you do. :'D

    Awesome scene.

  • This isn't real life, you can't prove that there are no paradoxes...

  • thnx for posting. this is my favorite part of all the episodes of the SCC

  • This is the kind of scene that raises goose pimples.

  • This was my favorite scene in the first season. Well, that and the 'past' aka 'future' scenes with Derek and Kyle!

  • wow, kyle's just as intense as a toddler as he is as an emotionally unstable adult.

  • This is a fantastic scene! its somethin that everyone who is a fan of the terminator genre has wanted to see for a long time! John meeting kyle! brilliant scene! thanks you for uploading this!

  • thats a very emotional moment from the terminator SCC... makes you think what would you do if you were to go back in time and see your own father at that age, what would you do and feel? but anyways I can't wait until Terminator Salvation, the future has been changed and who knows what we will discover in that movie.

  • this scene is great!

  • reese= best terminator character.

  • And about Kate Brewster,John partner in the third movie? She could appear in this series.

  • Possibly. Somehow I doubt it though.

  • This series ignores T3 and takes place in an alternate time line after T2... plus she'd be 8 years older then him i this time line.

  • This is not how it happened as it was told in T3 this show is acting like T3 never happended and as if it is a secrect movie to those who just got into the Termiator and understand it from here. We all know T3 sucked but the fact that it was what it was I still repect it. I love Arnold and do not want to have him left behind in Terminator Salvation.

  • First of all, Arnold is the governor of CA. He CAN'T be in Terminator Salvation.

Secondly, yes, the show ignores T3. The writers themselves have said that as far as they are concerned, both T3 and T-Salvation occur in an alternate post-T2 timeline. Most fans agree with this decision.

  • also i think kyle was not even born yet at this time, which is why he was kind of alien to the society in the 80s in the 1st one.

It's easy to do the math to see he was born just before judgment day.

  • Oh for the love of God!

The events of T2 POSTPONED Judgment Day. It ALTERED the future so that Judgment Day now occurs in 2011. That's why in THIS timeline, Kyle is born before the ORIGINAL Judgment Day (1997).

Honestly, do a little research first before making incorrect conclusions.

  • Sorry, I meant after the 1997 JD but before the 2011 JD.

  • alright kid get a clue. The postponement wouldn't do anything to Kyle's birthdate. Unless the setting of this scene is in at least early 2000s, which it obviously isn't judging by the age of john connor, all my points Absolutely Stand.

  • It DOES take place in the early 2000s. 2007 to be exact. In the pilot episode, John, Sarah, and Cameron use secret time travel technology to jump FORWARD 8 years into the future (or our present) from 1999 to 2007. So, yeah! In your face, pal!

  • Great conclusion, MisterRandom2.

  • Thanks!

  • this shit sucks. In the originals i don't even think john connor knows his father's full name.

Please stop killing terminator post t2.

Although maybe Cameron deserves it for doing titanic.

  • No, it does not suck.

Why the hell wouldn't John know who his father was? Sarah said at the end of T1 that she intended to tell John about his father.

  • tell him his full name? Show me where that happens. His name isn't John Reese for a reason.

  • ummmm.... Let me think here. Kyle told Sarah his full name all the way back in T1. So, yeah... maybe THAT'S how he knows his father's identity.

  • Oh and btw, John actually does go by the alias "John Reese" in the pilot episode.

  • let me get this straigh

reese jonh corners father is younger than john corner in the future??

  • yes. and it's connor.

  • I take it that you're not too familiar with the Terminator storlyline.

  • maybe i should watch the sarah connor chronicles.

but kyle reese is younger than john corner right?

  • yes.........

  • In the future, Kyle Reese gets sent back in time (as an adult) where he meets Sarah and fathers John.

That's why John is older than Kyle in this scene.

  • so just to make things clear.......

kyle reese dies after he fathers john in T1

and then he is reborn making him younger than john corner.

but does that make him the same kyle reese that father corner in the first place??

  • He doesn't get "reborn" really. He gets born naturally, and then when he grows up, he gets sent back in time to father John. It's a predestination paradox.

  • That is... FUCKED UP..

  • What exactly do you mean?

  • i thought in the first film reese said dat he grew up after the nuclear war and that he didnt see this war coz he wasnt born yet???

  • what are you trying to do, start another argument over this all over again? read the comments.

  • Oh my God! Give us a frakkin' break already.

If you don't like it, JUST SHUT UP AND DON'T WATCH IT, PERIOD.

  • uhh.. no, idiot. Actually t2 was the original film Cameron wanted to make but didn't because of money and technological restrictions at the time.
