My guess is that Matthew Von Doran's guitar is fretless... and looks like it has 11 strings? (I counted 11 machine-heads). Well, if so, there are no less than 27 (excellent!) strings, including bass, on stage!
@daegabmusic59 its the godin glissentar. it has 11 strings and is fretless, designed to be a guitar with a setting of the "oud", a european instrument with that same setting
