First of all thanks for you post, you're a great player. Could you tell me what book the Brilliancy notation came from. Is it from the Craig Duncan Master Fiddle Solo Collection? Thanks, Again,
Thanks for the comment! I use the recording for practicing purposes, because I play quite often with some bluegrass friends and my timing is not that great, so the recording helps me practice in time. Sometimes I think it sounds good without the recording, then I get to the jam session and I can't play along with everyone else...lol....Thanks again!
You have come a long way in a short time on the fiddle. Your previous training is obvious (reading music, etc.). Once you develop your own signature, you are going to be a knockout fiddler.
Thanks! You are right...Right now I'm just reading music, but as the song becomes part of me (with more practice), it'll enable me to play with it a little more....I don't know if I'll ever be a knockout fiddler, but I enjoy playing, so I'll just keep on doing what I enjoy =D
Gary, I think you are already a knock-out fiddler! You're just going to keep getting better because you've got the combination of innate talent, desire to improve yourself, and obviously really enjoy what you're doing. Maybe County or Rounder will come knocking on your door one day!
I had 6 yrs of classical lessons when I was a kid, so I've been playing 3x longer than you. I've only been "fiddlin" for 8 months. You are playing great for the time you've put in! Just keep practicing and you'll get better and better!
Thanks

Great job! You don't really need the recording playing as well. I say play it at your own pace. Still, great work. 5/5
