I didn't like the way Marilyn was portrayed either. It is basically a caricature, IMO. However, I did like the fact that they portrayed Bobby as having an interest in her, because of his brother's involvement, but no romantic involvement of his own. That just makes more sense, to me. It disappoints me, tremendously, that our beloved president would have been doing that. I guess he was following the example of his father, but that's not a good excuse.

Was he at her house the day she died? Yes. Then either the Mob or the CIA moved in when he left and killed her, leaving it to look that Bobby was complicent in her death.

And yet another example why this miniseries was not true history. AP never found anything that they planned to expose. There is no such known conversation between RFK and his wife. Also no known conversation between Marilyn and RFK. Fiction, Fiction. So is the watch myth too. Heard that watch was made after they both died. Someone faked it to make money. Just too stupid. The accents are horrible too.
lol the actress looks more like GaGa than Marilyn, but she attempted the voice well... Barry Pepper was fantastic as Bobby, for me he and Tom Wilkinson were the stars, but I think they all deserve a 'best ensemble cast' award. Best Miniseries I've seen in a while.
Should be interesting to see if the Emmy's will recognize the performances of Greg Kinear, Barry Pepper & Tom Wilkinson & The Mini-series is nominated too....10 nominations total...ty for posting we weren't able to view it...have a good day !

I can't understand why they cast her as Marilyn when she looks and acts like Madonna... She was the only thing I found to be off about the series. Most awkward are her scenes with Barry Pepper as Bobby - since he was amazingly spot on... his portrayal was one of the most brilliant I've seen, ever. Well deserved Emmy for him.

Blech. The most one dimensional, trite, presentation of Marilyn I've ever seen. Yes, she had identity crises but she was NOT the woman in this clip. Marilyn Monroe was a very complicated and intelligent woman with FAR more personality than the average, everyday bimbo they are making her out to be. The kennedy movie was awful, Marilyn was protrayed very negative, I don't believe Marilyn ever had to chase after any man, she was much smarter and classy than they show her here. If anything it was the other way around. Anyone who reads enough books will know the truth about her. If you listen to her speak , she was a much deeper complex person than most people think. The actress is pretty but does not favor MM much.

Why can't script writers read the books that at least have a few facts in them. Another disappointing and shallow portrayal of Monroe. If the real Monroe had been anything like this one, she would have disappeared without a trace.
