Tools like this are super important! Today we are doing full web development client side. We have business logic in the client too! If I did not have tool like this one, and Firebug I would be totally F*ed! so Thank You!
I'm a noob at web designing... I always wanted to work in this shit. Like, how it works and what the codes are... This makes me feel better about actually installing it to my computer and i feel like i can work on something i wanted to for once.
From what I've read, you cannot actually disable it via an options menu. You have to add a JavaScript disable parameter when you run the program. To enable it again you must run a command to start Chrome without that parameter. Therefore, it you haven't changed anything, JavaScript should run by default. However, I found a parameter to enable JavaScript (-enable-javascript).
Actually, KDE KHTML on Linux had this already years ago, and it's Apple who came along and took (stole) it to build its own browser.
They in turn HAD to release the sourcecode, because KTHML was under the GPL (not that they did that voluntarely btw). Google saw it, and found it to be code working on Linux and Mac, so they "only" needed to fix apple's bugs (which made it non-working on Linux...) and add Windows support !!!

Heh, guys, Safari had this a year ago IIRC. It's in the WebKit open-source project.
