I really enjoy your videos. I rather watch you than TV any day. Your gardening instructions are so easy. Thank you for taking the time to put them together.
I'm going to go out and plant some peas for the green manure. It's now October here in Georgia (USA) and perhaps I may be able to get a few peas before it turns too cold.
God, I would love to live in Australia. I live in London and the winter here is sometimes very harsh for plants. If I live in Aus, I would plant everything all year round. What an amazing climate. Even the honeybee is thriving in australia, everywhere else they are dieing out in vast numbers due to pesticides, and disease, and mobile phone masts.
@spyknife, 3-1-10 I heard honeybees are dying but I was outside and noticed my apple tree is blooming and it is full of honeybees and mt friend 5 miles away keeps bees in his yard. So not dead in San Diego County, California USA.
Here in southern Spain people grow fava beans (habas) to replenish the nitrogen in the soil. They almost grow by themselves and they don't get the little bugs that I always end up with when I try to grow peas or beans. People cook them with cured ham and onions, cook them and use them in omelettes or put them in stews. You can also dry them.
Thats great! nice instructions. Can I ask though why do you have such a high garden bed? most of the vegetables you have there are shallow rooted arent they?
nope, i meant green manure crop, thats what we call them down here, we are a british colony after all, lol. just lettuce in there also, edible stuff only.
Great videos, I enjoy learning from them. Question, when you say "green manure crops" do you mean green fertilizer crops? And, are the other grasses and such in the planter deliberately allowed to grow?
Whose head went forward when he first moved away from camera?

most beans do, legumes in general are great, blood/bone can be used or urea or lime, which sweetens up the soil for leafy green veg
