Alex was part of my youth. I loved his 'rebellious' side, and to me he was the rock'n'roll of snooker. I watched all his televised matches and even unashmedly missed classes to watch him play. Like countless others, Alex inspired me to play the game. And even tho I haven't played since those school days, he is still one of my heroes.
