The problem that I see with many companies are the hiring managers that try to play down an MBA in an effort to discredit its value. Others are simply clueless in their understanding of what an MBA entails in today's climates.
it's these dumb videos like these made by idiots who weren't civilized enough to get through college that make me feel good about my college education...
educational arrogance is a natural of life...accept it!
As long as there is college...there will be arrogance! so stop bitching!
Being educated is a part of being civilized...if you're complaining you slacked off, and it's YOUR FAULT! STOP DENYING iT! IT"S YOUR FAULT YOU SUCKED AT HIGH SCHOOL SO COULDN"T GET THROUGH COLLEGE!
@rashbabu ha ha, I was an engineering major and I am a member of three academic honor societies. Anyone who is semi-functionally literate can get a dumbed down B.A. degree. I'll have more videos soon about the dumbing down of college and how many employers complain about college grads who can't write well. California colleges spend millions trying to get students to learn how to write basic English and how to do high school algebra.
That's exactly why I will never go back to school for a Master's degree. I finished my over priced education a couple of years ago at the age of 30. I went to school at 25 in 2003 with maybe about $2000 in credit card debt from moving. Now I owe $40,000 in student loans. The only job offers I got were for $10-12 dollars an hours. I now teach English in Korea and make more than that, but that's hardly the American dream. I could have paid a 1/4 and went to a trade school and been done in a year.
It's the most reliable way to attain a high paying job. If you don't have a degree then you can get a job but many positions require a B.S. in a particular field. If you don't have this then your resume goes in the trash. Truth
@MultiSmartass1 You are the EXACT personification of the word EMPTY!
See..people like you THINK that you are "SMART" because you got a DEGREE, you WORK, etc. YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO REALISE THAT...SCHOOL..DOES NOT..MAKE..PEOPLE..SMART! AT ALL.
How does regurgitating back information exactly the way it's told to you..SMART?? That only shows that YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE AND THAT YOU DON'T...THINK. If you don't get my point then think on this:...
@MultiSmartass1 ..EVER NOTICE THAT IF A STUDENT ANSWERS A QUESTION OUT OF THEIR OWN THOUGHTS AND CONCLUSION THAT THEY WILL BE DEEMED wrong??
Exactly. SCHOOL IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MEAT PACKING FACTORY/SLAVE MACHINE to churn out SLAVES for FUTURE SLAVERY/WORK. ANNND...They make the SLAVES think of themselves as THE WINNERS and those who were actually THINKERS/INDIVIDUALS as the LOSERS.
Smh. It's a shame that nobody SEES this blatant OPERATION done on the SHEEPLE by their GOVERNMENTS.
@iYEMTheGreatest The answer to the question would need to be specific to the topic and the degree of difficulty concerning the problem as it relates to the objective or conclusion depending on the type of problem or scenario. So in essence the student would need to stay on topic and understand the variables or circumstances of the question being asked so as to be on track in getting the answer correct.
I love this commercial for FedEx. I sent it to a friend of mine who got his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and thinks he is hot stuff because of his degree, but he can't do high school math. So basically some schools give degrees to unqualified students. His MBA might get hilred, but being studpid will get him fired!
boy, i guess people like lebron james, bill gates, 50 cent, britney spears, jay z, simon cowell, michael moorer, must feel like "LOSERS", since they didn't graduate from college or even high school. who wants to be like them? i rather be a "delusional-brainwashed" individual, who believes a college degree will guarantee and "ENTITLE" me a succeesful career, even if i hate the job.
I had a situation like this last week, i am an assistant mgr @ a GNC store and trained a new guy who graduated recently with an MBA. He kept throwing out hints that has a MBA degree, so it would not be a problem for him learning how to work a cash register. I said OK. To make a long story short after a week and half of training, this guy kept having so many void's on the register that the general mgr let him go.
This is what I think. If you love school, go to school. If you want to be a doctor, go to med school. But if your not serious about school, don't lie to yourself and go just because your friend told you to go or else your a loser. School is like church in a way. Go to church or go to hell. Go to school or else you will be a bum... If you like church, go to church. But it's irritating how all people do is talk about school or where they went. Everyone needs to think for themselves.
@TheSacJB you are so fucking correct, most people do things out of comformity, not out of personal interest or desire and passion, simply because we have been socially conditioned to think that way. EARNING- not-LEARNING, is the real reason most people go to college, but people convince themselves that it is not all about the money. sure, KNOWLEDGE is great to have, but the reality is; knowledge doesn't pay the bills or the rent, and puts food on the table, money does that.
@sasquatch13ja It's also so funny how college students are working hard to join the corporate rat race. I think ideally you need to do what you love. Actually an office job is not as healthy as having a construction job or a job that keeps you fit. What I don't get is why a lot of these A students don't just run there own business instead if they are so smart. People work so hard to work for someone else. They are like sheep and end up living a miserable life, pissed off all day.
@TheSacJB So true. I work but somehow I'm still a "bum" because I did the bare minimum in High school and flat out refused college. I simply prefer actual work over memorising stuff I don't give a damn about.
My tale of Academic Arrogance and this was during my high school(another waste of time) years. There was a librarian who got a doctorate degree. . .I didn't know they had doctorates for mastering the Dewey Decimal System.
Anyway in my junior/senior years in High School, the librarian demanded we call her Doctor Clarke instead of Miss Clarke. Wasn't just the students but also the teachers that had to call her Doctor. Lot of us(teachers included) would pick on her like saying "What's up Doc." or
we'd ask her questions like, "What are you still doing here? Aren't there people you need to operate on? You're a doctor for crying out loud!
Academic Arrogance comes from all sections of life and frankly its kind of sad to see people who try to boast or lord over others about their 'academic achievements' when in truth they aren't impressing anyone at all.
So a television advertisement is PROOF that no one should go to college? Give me a break. I agree that college isn't for everyone, but the reality is that the workplace is constantly changing. Some people go to college to learn about something that they wouldn't be able to learn about in the private sector, such as the arts or music. Also, many people are able to get scholarships to help pay for college. Many people work through college and don't have a lot of debt.
@AllTheGoodNamzWerTkn , then look at the FannieMae coverage posted by Don'tGoToCollege yourself. There are lots of victims to that college loan company and they are almost becoming bankrupt paying off all debts.
@wonc You mean Sallie Mae, but it still doesn't prove that no one should ever go to college, or that college as a whole is a scam. Maybe you think it's a scam, but not everyone does. Some people are glad that they went to college. I can't help it if some people are too dumb not to stay out of debt. I had a scholarship myself.
Welcome back!, My parents still think its still truly essential to get a college degree, and I did go out and get"blue collar and proud of it" but it was kind of hard to understand
I think that college is a good idea, but not for everyone. Also, some people who attend college, take up majors that in the end will not benefit them in any sort of real world way. People who want to be Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers, Social Workers and the like (big name jobs) should (must) attend college. Anything else is not necessary,
Someone in college to become a teacher currently has a better chance of ending up in retail at graduation than ending up actually teaching. That is why I call my universities department of education the "department of unemployment and underemployment". Last year despite the layoffs and shrinking market they churned out 300 new unemployed teachers. I can count on 1 hand the number of graduates who got any sort of education job.
@wonc If any minority's thinking about getting a degree in communication arts or a fine arts degree, please....please don't go to East Carolina University. It's racist, it's hostile, and it's awful.
@Rodimus78 why should I waste my time and money on attending colleges? What they do is just brainwash young mind to fit in their leftist polical views.
The problem that I see with many companies are the hiring managers that try to play down an MBA in an effort to discredit its value. Others are simply clueless in their understanding of what an MBA entails in today's climates.

The people who down getting a degree usually don't have degrees. They often discuss their training in the "real world".
griesrt 8 months ago
@griesrt That's what I found in taking a look at these DGTC pages on Youtube.
What happens is these guys dont have the talent, ability or even brains to get into even a community college-and they know it.
So go on line and rail and against people who have the discipline and intelligence to get through college lie I did.
You see it a lot in this country: people are who are losers and failures resent those who are winners and workers.
Its a culture of envy and jealousy-nothing more.
