Brutality=Damage in most people's minds. Why do you think writers and fans love things like pile bunkers so much? It's the brutality factor.
God Voice might "objectively" do more damage than a berserk EVA attack, like a nuke does more damage than a giant sledgehammer. But the nuke just doesn't give the same sense of satisfaction that a large metal spike or a mad case of the munchies does. The light show is nice, but the people want carnage. Now, if the light show comes after the carnage... :)
Actually, EVA 01 has unlimited power because it "ate" Zeruls' S2 engine, and even without it, when EVA 01 goes Beserk it doesn't need a power supply to move. Also, if I remember correctly, the power is needed for the armor on the EVA units, which acts as restraints for it so it doesn't completly beast out.
or how the pilot can experience every single hit the eva experiences because it's an organism too so it's also prone to extreme damage with out the AT field.

The only times I see him go berserk was (I think, since I take the space route) with the MU, EVA-03, and Zeruel (the 14th Angel). xDD

The reason we don't get something this cool in the States is because, at current, the various Stateside anime distributors can't play nice enough to make a translation happen, despite there certainly being a market for it. Alpha's even better, with Robotech-Macross, Gundam Wing, and Eva mojo working for it.
1) Pretty much a tactical rpg where it features different mecha from anime or even the manga, mixing it together into one storyline...
2) License issues...if you want to the play the ones on the PS2, you will need a mod chip...but you can always play the ones on GBA/SNES(emulator maybe?) or PSP which has this one SRWMX and SRWA, better yet, downgrade your PSP and play the old school SRW from the PSX
ok super robot wars did come out over here on gba but nobody knew what it was so it didnt sell and some noob ass americans cant advertise so since some ppl lost there not gonna import the good versions
Raxiphon is not a rip of Eva. The mechs in Raxiphon are made by an ancient alien race. While the Evas were human made, only using alien bodies as the mechs bodies. And in Raxiphon, the mechs don't have any equipable weapons. In Eva, there are a lot of equipable weapons for the mechs. Plus the Evas don't fly, but the mechs in Raxiphon do fly.
because a beserk EVA is feral and it doesn't respond to the pilot, so yea, if someone needs an EVA to pilot, you have to be aware of the beserk tendencies and EVA-01 has Shinji's mother's soul inside it and watch the anime, it's ambigious...
Nu Gundam was able to push back an entire space colony from Earth's atmosphere. Yes, I know all those grunts were there,too, but they really didn't contribute...mostly just burned out and died.
Not to mention alot of Gundams have systems that more or less make themselves an extension of the pilot's mind, like the zero System or Psychoframes. so they're essentially being controlled by the pilot's soul (Well, Zero system more like takes over the person's soul but...)
I don't think that matters much in the face of an AT Field. They block conventional weapons, which almost every Gundam uses. I think the only Gundam that'd stand an even remote chance is the Turn-A with Moonlight Butterfly, and even then . . .
The way I see it, EVA can beat pretty much any Real, but at soon as we get to even comparatively weak Supers like Big O, let alone the RahXephon or the Shining Gundam, it's outclassed completely.
1. Gundams have fusion 1-260 Mw(Rx78-Turn X) fusion reactor, high output beam rifles and sabres,etc... so an EVA cannot even touch a stronger gundam (Nu, F91,97,99, V2, TurnA), because evas weapons cannot penetrate beam shields, but gundams also cannot damage AT-field directly.
So in terms in raw power EVA-s are inferior, because there are depends of external power, without s2 organ.

oh yeah i can, remember when Eva-01 gets sucked into the ground by the "ball" like Angel name Leriel? well, the EXACT same thing hapens in RahXephon. Remember when Shinji acidently touches Rei's breats? Gunbuster is huge - 250m tall. But size doesn't matter. Xephon could easily defeat Gunbuster, so RahXephon wouldn't even break a sweat. It would just erase Gunbuster from existance......now THAT'S power!

It is a literal wall that separates one's identity from other and supports one having an existence separate from others. But much like the so-called "Hedgehog's dilemma", the fact that some people feel pain from loneliness but also get hurt when approached, and the closer they are to others, the more they are hurt.

oh yea i remember this bit on my psp the other day, I actually saved that part so i can watch everytime its sick... oh yea and one more thing i got the game for free, all u need is a psp 3.XX OE-X version with freeloader 0.7 at least a 1 gig mem stick because the iso is 1.2 gig so it wont fit so compress to CSO image which makes it to 756 MB.. to find the SWR MX iso download it from utorrent. Well, it is never specified to be a mecha, but it IS said during the anime that it's a God, created by man (Bahbem). Thus the name of one of the final episode : Deus Ex Machina ( God is the machine)
It means LITTERALY God is the machine. Though, in acnient greek theater, the term was used to depict an event only possible by a divine intervention; something you couldn't see coming from the scenario.
Interestingly enough, the Rahxephon is both a God from a machine (hard to say if it's really "mechanical" in the sense of gears and bolts but close enough) AND it functions as a deus ex machina in the story by changing an otherwise kill 'em all ending to a much happier one.
Rahx is a a dolem created out of clay by Babhem for the purpose of "retuning" the world, it is essentially God, though because no real category exists to classify it properly it is called a mecha. Hope that helps

i disagree, Eva isnt really "god" because of its limitations. Eva has only really the abilities of a human only 1000 times the size, you could smash trough building too if you were a 100 feet tall. Um.... Eva took the entire world and reverted it into primordial soup in one blow. It is also the clone of the "creature" that created all life on earth (well, actually, that was 00 and 02: Unit-01 was cloned from the "creature" that made the Angels). actually Eva wouldnt have been able to do anything without that entire chain of events that set it up, in other words unit 1 without that whole complicated plot by seele wouldnt have accomplished a thing, Rahxephon "reconstructed" the world based on the ideal image of Earth created by it pilot. because a beserk EVA is feral and it doesn't respond to the pilot, so yea, if someone needs an EVA to pilot, you have to be aware of the beserk tendencies and EVA-01 has Shinji's mother's soul inside it and watch the anime, it's ambigious...

Nu Gundam was able to push back an entire space colony from Earth's atmosphere. Yes, I know all those grunts were there,too, but they really didn't contribute...mostly just burned out and died.
Not to mention alot of Gundams have systems that more or less make themselves an extension of the pilot's mind, like the zero System or Psychoframes. so they're essentially being controlled by the pilot's soul (Well, Zero system more like takes over the person's soul but...)

I don't think that matters much in the face of an AT Field. They block conventional weapons, which almost every Gundam uses. I think the only Gundam that'd stand an even remote chance is the Turn-A with Moonlight Butterfly, and even then . . .

The way I see it, EVA can beat pretty much any Real, but at soon as we get to even comparatively weak Supers like Big O, let alone the RahXephon or the Shining Gundam, it's outclassed completely.

Gundams have much greater firepower than EVA-s.
1. Gundams have fusion 1-260 Mw(Rx78-Turn X) fusion reactor, high output beam rifles and sabres,etc... so an EVA cannot even touch a stronger gundam (Nu, F91,97,99, V2, TurnA), because evas weapons cannot penetrate beam shields, but gundams also cannot damage AT-field directly.
So in terms in raw power EVA-s are inferior, because there are depends of external power, without s2 organ.

Could you give an example? I've seen every Eva episode plus the Director's Cut episodes, but I've never seen RahXephon. I hear its alot like Eva, but I never thought that whole scenes would be ripped off.

oh yeah i can, remember when Eva-01 gets sucked into the ground by the "ball" like Angel name Leriel? well, the EXACT same thing hapens in RahXephon. Remember when Shinji acidently touches Rei's breats? Kamina in RahXephon does the EXACT same thing, and omg i could make a very big list of ripped scenes...never the less, RahXephon still manages to be one of my fav animes, cuz it has some original story and scenes.

Gunbuster is huge - 250m tall. But size doesn't matter. Xephon could easily defeat Gunbuster, so RahXephon wouldn't even break a sweat. It would just erase Gunbuster from existance......now THAT'S power!

That it douse but what i realy enjoy is that alot of people are in a constant ubsession over Eva V.s Rahxephon, and even all this is an example when the creator even admited that more than anything Rahxpehon is morely baised on Raideen. though there are un deniabul plot simalarities between Eva and Rahxpehon.
I.E the fact that both the eva and Rahxehon are both not robottic, and more or lessly incarnations of god itself shapeing and altering reality in some cases.

oh yea i remember this bit on my psp the other day, I actually saved that part so i can watch everytime its sick... oh yea and one more thing i got the game for free, all u need is a psp 3.XX OE-X version with freeloader 0.7 at least a 1 gig mem stick because the iso is 1.2 gig so it wont fit so compress to CSO image which makes it to 756 MB.. to find the SWR MX iso download it from utorrent. IM having the best of fun of this game at the same time in my bed lol

Well, it is never specified to be a mecha, but it IS said during the anime that it's a God, created by man (Bahbem). Thus the name of one of the final episode : Deus Ex Machina ( God is the machine)

Interestingly enough, the Rahxephon is both a God from a machine (hard to say if it's really "mechanical" in the sense of gears and bolts but close enough) AND it functions as a deus ex machina in the story by changing an otherwise kill 'em all ending to a much happier one.

Rahx is a a dolem created out of clay by Babhem for the purpose of "retuning" the world, it is essentially God, though because no real category exists to classify it properly it is called a mecha. Hope that helps

i disagree, Eva isnt really "god" because of its limitations. Eva has only really the abilities of a human only 1000 times the size, you could smash trough building too if you were a 100 feet tall. Oh yes the AT, but that also seems to be limited in terms of the pilots abilities to manipulate it. Compared to Rahxephon, Eva would be nothing more then a roach waiting to be squished ;) p.s. i love Eva just support Rah more

Um.... Eva took the entire world and reverted it into primordial soup in one blow. It is also the clone of the "creature" that created all life on earth (well, actually, that was 00 and 02: Unit-01 was cloned from the "creature" that made the Angels). actually Eva wouldnt have been able to do anything without that entire chain of events that set it up, in other words unit 1 without that whole complicated plot by seele wouldnt have accomplished a thing, Rahxephon "reconstructed" the world based on the ideal image of Earth created by it pilot. Also Rah can control time and the flow of events along with manipulate the physical properties of matter via sound...lets see Eva beat that.

Eva was able to rip open a distortion in time and space called Dirac's Sea (an empty alternate dimension that is only .000001 of an inch thick that had imprisioned it) just by using sheer force when it was completely out of power source. And by the end of the series, it turns into a being that travels through space and time telling the entire history of earth to those who are willing to listen. Might I add that Rah still needed a Mulian. Let's call it a tie. ^_^

Okay, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. The thing on the cross is Lilith, the second angel from which the human race was born, along with eva 00 and 02. Adam (the first angel) is the embryo that was implanted in Gendo's hand and it is what created the angels (and eva 01). Both of them were created by "The Ancestrial Race", a race of unmentioned aliens in the series. That's why the angels and the humans (aka, lilims) are 99.8% similar.

No, they were not mentioned, but they are the creators of Adam and lilith and through assosciation, the angels, the humans, and the evas. They also made the Lance of longius. It arrived on earth with Adam and Lilith as safeguards to keep them in check. That's the reason it's so effective: it was designed specifacally for destroying them. In fact, Adam wasn't even supposed to be on earth. The ancestrial race originally intended to keep them separated, but adam crashed on earth through a mistake.

Its not lvl 99 just really fast and strong. It has an abosolute terror field, and that negates max of 4000 damage. Best stay away berserk or he will pwn you, and noteven sore eyes ayato will kill him.

It's called an AT Feild, and (in the anime at least) you can't penatrate it because that is it's soul. Only an organic life form can penetrate it (or the lance of longius), and even then, that's practically impossible. I'd have to say that your fucked.
