@GuitarBurt I remember Melissa's version of Monkey See, Monkey Do, great tune, miss Melis, anybody have an old CD or even vinyl version from which they can upload that song? If so, please contact me robvrpmusic@gmail I'll get it digitized for you if you don't have the capabilities. Thx, great tune!
Wow, who knew someone did a "cover" of a Mangione song? It's kinda' of cool when your favorite artists' songs get recorded by someone else, like Michael Franks' "Popsicle Toes" being recorded by Diana Krall.
@davidhcrocker1 DUDE! You're into Michael Franks too? I heard Melissa Manchester, or someone like her (?) do "Monkey See, Monkey Do" (from the same Michael Franks album "The Art Of Tea" I am in a band covering "Hill Where The Lord Hides" and I just stumbled across this version.
This was composed by Chuck Mangione in 1970 and was the tune that helped him get his record deal with Mercury Records. This is the first time I've heard this version of "Hill" and God, this smokes!!!
this stuff is the real deal...lol whenever i play this kind of music in my car it reminds me of a car chase seen in some movie in the 1970s and i look around suspiciously at nearby cars. GREAT GUITAR WORK
