Ahhh someone forgot the 5/4 bar at 3:39 ........... and he gives them a nasty look at 3:23 luckily they all managed to keep it together and agree on a 1 at 3:29. But awesome groove.
Oh man, this is so fucking good. Saw them last time in London in the summer 1,5 years ago, I'd completely forgotten that they played this one there, too. Now it's all coming back to me... Shit, their organ player is so sick live. Seeing them again in a couple of weeks here in Finland, can't fucking wait!
just saw these guys at the roxy.. man i didnt even know of this band but i became an instant fan as soon as the crowd started shouting the lyrics to this song,,, DONT LET ME DOWN
@Jerry13Only I think it might have meant that at one time. Now I find it to be very cliche... and automatic... and typical. Kind of contrary to the very essence of punk rock... no? Perhaps I'm just getting old, fair enough. But I do stand by my original statement/question: Why the hell would there be a pit at a reggae show?
@rikky383 well reggae definitely does have energy to it, just like punk(which is an assumption made based on my name im assuming?). I see what you are asking, but have to completely disagree lol
@operationsleepywease I actually don't remember exactly what my original comment was... but I'm pretty sure it was in response to some kid who was said something along the lines of, "There is no mosh pit, therefore this show looks lame", or something to that effect.
I was introduced to this band thru the Van's Warped Tour of "09 and I immediately liked their music. They're so awesome. I would totally love to b at one of their shows. Whoo!
holy shiz.. where is their tour date. i wanna see these guys!!!! just started listening to them yesterday cause i heard of them through rancid/hellcat/tim armstrong affiliated stuff. they are amazing...
so, i just think the aggrolites are fun. everyone should accept that others taste in music is different than their own. if you can't do this, then you're pathetic for dwelling on it.

I understand that it's a fucking genre, but every song shouldn't have the same damn rythym! A listener should be able to tell one song from another, its damn near impossible with these guys! Lame live show to boot!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
On the contrary, I am familiar with Bob Marley's work and his music has varying tempo and sound between songs. I'm not bashing Reggae as a whole, just The Aggrolites... They're just not that great a band in my book... other than Buzzkill i'm still waiting on someone to make a semi-valid point to defend your precious Dirty Reggae front-runners....anyone?
But I do care to hear others opinions as to why they like The Aggrolites. Beyond people basically saying: "Go fuck yourself" i'm not getting any feedback here.
Maybe you just don't hear the soul that the band has. Its not something you can teach or learn but they have their soul in this music. If you can't admit that you might be deaf.
If you have heard the same music I have I think you could see the soul within it. I believe you can hear someone pouring their soul into their music regardless of the Genre. Jimi Hendrix, Aggrolites, Lennon... all of them played music that was palpable. There are plenty others but I don't want to list them all off haha
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yea i'll give you that, it's obvious the Aggrolites have soul to their music, I just don't dig the "Dirty Reggae". The lead singer has a solid voice though...More or less I may just be bitter because they opened for Dropkick Murphy's back in March and I wasn't really in a Reggae mood at the time.
If you think this is the sickest keys ever then you truly haven't seen them live!

The same could be said about many many mainstream bands. When has AC/DC or Linken Park or George Strait come out with a new sound. IMO never.
Personally this is one of the best live shows i've ever been too, and you really have to go to one to judge them as a live band.
