  • the only band I know of that can send you on a spirit quest (in modern times) ... I could never get tired of of TOOL... ever... I want their Discog played at my funeral from start to finish.... with reflection played while they spread my ashes in Arizona Bay

  • We all have a voice, that is the beauty of this arena, mine is saying this is beautiful!!

  • It doesn't get any better than this.

  • nice footage, love this song and feels awesome to meditate to it, thanks,Jade

  • love this song!!!!

  • all you need to know- Tool rocks, and if you don't agree, then don't watch it!

  • Intension is like electro-ambience, this is my favorite of the softer works. Actually, now that I think about it, lots of their songs have soft and nice intros, like Right In Two, the Patient, Eon Blue Apocalypse, Flood, even Jimmy (LOL at "Intermission" - the intro to jimmy).

  • tool.

  • the intro on this preformance that the other guy has on his video is awesome

  • parabol and intension are the only two that are "calm" enough I suppose. H. is also slower, but not like these other two. I'd like to see put out an ambient record. They rock the shit out of any other band (in my humble opinion) but their ambient noise I've heard live in between songs is absolutely beautiful and ethereal. I want more of that. Can I get a witness?

  • intension

  • I witness whgat you are saying. this is the beautiful music that can touch you deep within. it is a dome of music build by a really awesome band

  • agreed. but also would be disapointed if there were less tracks like vicarious, the pot etc. DOUBLE ALBUM! wishfull

  • @thefeverdreamer

can i get a hell yeah

    XD

  • reflection

    and 10,000 days

  • "Right In Two", "Intention", "Wings for Marie Parts 1-2", "Schism", etc. are not very heavy at all.

Tool really isn't a 'heavy' band. They're more 'Prog Rock'. If you 'can't stand other Tool music, you may want to stick to Pop tunes, my friend.

  • PLEASE upload Reflection and Triad.

  • This is such a great song. Love it.

Back when I was less musically talented, I never knew it was just the bass at the very beginning. Of course, I can hear it very distinctly now, but back then I couldn't know the difference. To hear the composition of Tool's songs doesn't take a whole lot of an ear, but it's really something everyone can appreciate, if you ask me. The only problem is alot of people get impatient with Tool, because they have alot of really long songs. I love it, though!

  • One thing that I've found out is that Tool's fan base is generally very intelligent and open-minded. I can tell by the comments that most of you aren't the typical "Slash is better than Page" crowd, still some of you like to compare but I think that Tool is a band beyond comparison.

  • fk all comparisons on who's better than someonelse, i don't think even tool compares themselves to anyone else, that's just shows how bad ass they really are..along with their music

  • and yea, "the best guitarrist, bassist or whatever" is a fictional character, created to compare people between each other, maby we should stop using that expresion, its just as coherent as saying that dragons are better than unicorns.

  • yah man music is all bassed on like opinion

  • @Araskog dragons are way better then unicorns. unicorns are dumb

  • what the fuck has les claypool got to do with tool anyway you idiots, every music video i see somebody always get compared. just watch the fucking video and enjoy.

  • hahahaaha people talking about les claypool, please, he is really tallented but he can't create the atmosphere that justin does, same thing on guitar for me paul gilbert is the best guitarrist, but he can't do the things that adam does...

  • exactly man eveone of my friends like that adam sucks at guitar but the sounds he creates r so amazingly different

  • lol i agree that adam is not a virtuoso, but he doesnt suck at all, actually not only he creates amazing sounds like you said but he also KNOWS how to use simple riffs and make them sound incredible, in my opinion that has a lot more artistic value than doing "vai" kind of stuff without a purpose, (i dont want to start a discusion here, i dont mean that vai is a bad guitarrist)

  • Funny how people seem to think that they are all professional music/automotive/lifestyle etc etc critics when they come on youtube. You judgemental people are all fucking idiots, will never win online arguments cause in the end it's always about what one person perfers so who cares if Justin or Les is the better player I seriously doubt that when he straps his bass on he thinks to himself "how am I gonna be better then Les Claypol today"

  • I absolutely agree with you. But to be fair, i think its an acceptable statement to say that Les is a more "technically capable' bassist. But thats not to say that Justin doesnt do some 'technically difficult' stuff. Most notably with rhythm and time signature. Other than that its mostly tonal innovation, i think, that Justin is excellent at.

Again though, you are right. Its all about preferance. In the end there is no way to compare two completely different styles of music.

  • Nice points. You know what they say, "arguing over the internet is like running a race in the special olympics. Even if you win you're still retarded." BTW Les and Justin are both equally talented in my opinion.

  • I remember when they came here to Fresno CA. for this tour back in Nov. '02 I was hopeing they would play this and Reflection and they did, it was fucking beautiful. I remember the oversized silver glitter that was falling during this song, I was in 3rd row so I was able to catch some : P

  • The background is amazing, as well as the song of course. Being there would have blown me away.

  • This is Oklahoma '02. Awesome bootleg. If anyone has Soulseek I can send it to them. Hehe, I only recognized it because of Adam's fuck up around 1:30.

  • Oh you were responding to another guy, sorry.

  • that fucking blew my mind by the way.

  • where are reflection and triad

  • Sorry....I love Tool and all...but Victor Wooten is a far more advanced bassist.

  • Sorry, but were the hell did that come from? Apples & Oranges comparison. Marco Minneman is a far more technical drummer than Danny Carey, but Danny slays and couldn't be reaplaced for Tool.

  • justin is amazing, dont get me wrong, but as far as inovation is concern victor gots justin beat. He has his own style named after him.

  • you gotta fucking love Justin Chancellor, he is the pinnacle of bassists, you can't get better than him, it's physically impossible!

  • ibanez400.

    Likewise man.

  • love it!

  • i love this song...

    brought me nearly to tears

  • truly amazing...
