  • Both Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are masterpieces. Two of the greatest anime ever made.

  • Dem Blues oh lawdy.

  • great sound track :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Anonymous12329 i like bleach too but how dare you mention that here.

  • esta es uno de los animes q mas me gustan !! y q marcaron mi forma de pensar

  • trigun and cowboy bebop are the only animes i like, and oddly i love the music from both

    coincidence?

  • @cajunbrit

No, not all. After all it's the same people that make both the show's music.

F.ex. - Cowboy Bebop's OST (Original Soundtrack) is all composed mostly by Yoko Kanno (who is one of the best composers of all time, not exaggerating here!) and her band The Seatbelts (great musicians!). And in that band just so happens to be Tsuneo Imahori as the main guitar player and him and Yoko Kanno OFTEN collaborate together, and as for Trigun, all composed by Tsuneo Imahori.

    See? No coincidence. :)

  • @cajunbrit

As for animes you might like if you like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun - Give Outlaw Star a try! It's a great anime show also set in a futuristic space setting with outlaws / bounty hunters.

Cowboy Bebop has the year 2072 in space and bounty hunters.

Trigun has the post-apocalyptic setting in space with Vash, an outlaw for sure.

While Outlaw Star has futuristic space-setting similiar to Cowboy Bebop with Outlaws aswell.

  • @cajunbrit

    - Continuation of my previous post (damn Youtube limit) -

And all 3 of these shows have great music, and the subs AND dub are all great. Whichever you prefer, but I take my word on it that Outlaw Star has a great dub if that's what you'd rather like, just like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun also had.

Sorry for the lengthy respones, but when it comes to those 3 shows: Cowboy Bebop, Trigun and Outlaw Star. They just so happen to be my favourites.

I'm sure you'd enjoy Outlaw Star, mate. :-)

  • @Sveinkiboy99 i think everyone likes cowboy bebop but i think trigun and outlaw star are pretty underrated. all three are probably the best animes from the 90's

  • @cajunbrit ...well, Tsuneo Imahori (Trigun's OST author) is the lead guitarist of The Seatbelts, the big band playing most of Cowboy Bebop's OST

  • This is really the best crisis music. Fitting titles are a rare thing in anime soundtracks, and here be gold.

  • My friend was playing Led Zeppelin songs and I thought he was playing this song.

  • @Huntress217 LOL I WAS about to say that but I didn't want to steal your comment

  • ... I'm starting to get the feeling that those two dislikes are Knives and Legato....

  • @Huntress217 Legato is dead.

  • @gummyboots I know

  • @Huntress217 that makes waaaaay too much sense. xD

  • I'd say it's the same bottleneck playing style as in IN My Time Of Dying and interestingly enough, in one of cowboy bebop's first scenes^^

  • Comment removed

  • I think you people try too hard to slap a 'rip' label on this, I listened to Led Zepplin's In My Time of Dying and it doesn't really sound that similar to me.

  • What a classic... (: Good memories.

  • If Trigun Music went into Borderlands 2, I WOULD PLAY THE FUCK OUTTA IT!! And make love and peace.

  • This song is incredibly bad-ass.

  • Got my gun, got my coat, got my shades, got my donuts, ready to hit the trail again.

This is one of my favourite tracks.

  • wen i was a kid it was Trigun, Cowboy bebop, Outlaw Star, Rouroni Kenshin, Blue Seed, and Dragon Ball Z....... im sorry but fuck that naruto shit

  • @j1muzic naruto aint THAT bad

  • @XiTWeaponX it's all a matter of taste. I'm hoping some day people grow up and realize everyone has their own liking to shows. lol

  • @reallybuffguy3 It is a matter of taste, i like animes that are short and sweet straight to the point with a great story with strong made characters. Like Trigun, Gun Grave, Outlaw Star, Hellsing. The only acception to the long gritty anime is Dragon ball z because of its insane fight scenes, epic blast sound effects and the pure badass 90's guitar rifts in some episodes.

  • @Angel0fDarkness78 Let us not forget the epic music pieces that bruce falconer brought us.

  • @j1muzic its sad what happened to some of the awesome movies tv games anime and music its all garbage now and all anyone thinks about is money quantity over quality and all of us are suffering for it

  • @l3054 Needs more cowbell. And yo' daaaaaamn right.

  • it still amazes me to this day that vash and knives were actually plants you know? even six years after i first saw the anime that still throws me for a loop.... nonetheless, trigun is one of those anime's that i've been in love with since i first started watching them at the tender age of 12 :)

  • now i want to walk a long distance with a 44. magnum red coat pair of shade and a box of donuts

  • 1:00 I can't stand imagining a monkey playing the bongos.

  • Oh yeah... In My Time of Dying...

  • It's funny how such a pacifistic and moral show was deemed too adult back in the day just because of alcohol and other things. You take a look at it again and realize, just why it was an adult show.

  • The intro sorta reminds me of In My Time of Dying

  • Love walking home to this song sometimes. Makes me feel as badass as Vash for a little while.

  • If I could learn this song on guitar. I would gladly play it in a talent show c; . But then I would have to learn guitar first to play this most triumphant song :D

  • what kind of blues is this one??

  • @MetalOzzy99 this is slide blues

  • @MetalOzzy99 this is slide blues they play it with a glass slide along the ring finger

  • amazing show with an even better soundtrack

  • reminds me of led zepplin...

  • this ost really remember me of cowboy bebop's soundtrack

  • @nabbestemmia

Because Tsuneo Imahori is one of the musician who has played the OST of Cowboy Bebop ^ ^

  • @Deilantha

    cool

    thanks for the info

  • @nabbestemmia

    You're welcome ^ ^

  • This song is what it was all about for me, it completely drove home the western feel, while at the same time reminding you that they are still on a different planet.

  • @saguro3 agreed. Music, atleast for me often decides if a series will or will not succeed for me. Sorta sad I suppose but oh well. Vash's character was great, and the music was great. to me made it a great series. same with outlaw star music wise. Different feel, but good nonetheless.

  • This song didn't rip off Firefly, but it practically ripped off In My Time of Dying by Zep from :03-:07

  • 2 people need to be shot right now.

  • @SixtyNineWoodstock But, that would make vash sad D:

  • This sound is so Pride&Glory, don't you agree?

  • badass

  • Lol, the most people here said this remind them of cowboy bebop, but actually Trigun and Cowboy bebop have both old fashion music so that's maybe why....but cowboy bebop's music it's more jazz and trigun it's all about blues...

  • actually, the title is wrong...

It would have been much, MUCH worse if this piece didn't exist

  • very good anime:X

  • i love this song so much:D

  • i've got GOOSEBUMPS man...one of the best action/comedy animes ever made xD

  • Hell*

    Dumb phone

  • Whoever did this song is CRAZY with guitar.. how in the he'll did (s)he do it?

  • great anime like this deserve more view, fans and everything that naruto has. its really not fair how people don't see much anime like these. i was like that before. all i watch was naruto till i saw this. then i began to watch death note, cowboy beep bop, inyuasha and hitman reborn. i really wish this show has more episodes and more views in japan. Man its hard to ignore anime like this

  • @9608699 It's true what you say, but naruto is more popular than trigun and cowboy bebop because cowboy bebop and trigun are already very old, both are from 1998 compared to Naruto which was released in 2002 and then continued in 2007 with the naruto shippuden serie .. and as you see cowboy bebop and trigun are both old fashion anime with a bit of touch of jazz and blues while naruto it's about ninja fight's etc...people prefer this stuff than pacifists and bounty hunters/cowboys :P

  • @LollypopParadiseKiss Naruto is geared more towards kids even with the immense amount of violence that is prevalent in the series. Both Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are geared towards young adults, both running off different and underlying themes.. Popularity doesn't always translate to good taste.

  • @EquinoxGT I agree with you, popularity doesn't always translate to good taste. Your right naruto is more popular towards kids and cowboy bebop/trigun towards young adults .But what you said does not apply to everyone,I'm a 14 years old,I could say I'm a kid, and first I was all about naruto but I found trigun, cowboy bebop, death note, and others, and I lost interest in Naruto,I'd like better Cowboy bebop than naruto because is more mature but I still watch naruto occasionally :)

  • @LollypopParadiseKiss Aye don't get me wrong, as idiotic as some people are about Naruto I still think it's a decent show, abit vapid at times but I thought the same thing of Dragon Ball Z and GT and I like the Dragon Ball series. Also even with things being geared towards different ages, as long as you are opened minded there are no boundaries to the things you can explore, learn, and appreciate.

  • @EquinoxGT well i agree with dbz bein a good series. But how much of that is because i sorta grew up with it on tv isn't really knowable. I've always disliked naruto and I think that's the main reason. it's dbz with ninja's, and i'd prefer dbz for nostalgia

  • @harprockin420 I getcha on the nostalgia thing, Rorouni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakusho and the like do the same for me. Still, you have to pay respects to alot of the older shows, they have paved the way and inspired many of the newer ones coming out nowadays.

  • @EquinoxGT yeah basically all the stuff that was on toonami around that time lol, and also early adult swim

  • Wish I could set this too loop cause I could hear this song all day

  • It's slide guitar, nerds. With an odd beat!

  • this anime turned me into a pacifist...

  • @austinatyahoo This anime made me scream "JUST FUCKING KILL HIM" at least seven times.

  • @austinatyahoo 'PAH THERE CAN NEVER BE PEACE WHEN--

"THIS WORLD... IS MADE OF; LOVE ANNNDDD PEACCEEEEEEE!"

  • @austinatyahoo lol and i thought i was the only one who was transformed.

  • What genre would you classify this guitar under?

  • @ragnor123 country :)

  • @8Maik

This is not country. Get off the internet.

  • @ZombieSpree yeah it's country blues, are you happy now?

  • @8Maik This is most definitely slide blues. Country is not even close to this.

  • @ragnor123 sounds pretty bluesy to me

  • @ragnor123 This is most definitely Blues.

  • @ragnor123 tsuneo imahori's jazz and blues. if you hear jazz this awesome, it's imahori. it's also trigun. it could also be gungrave, or cowboy bebop, or it could be hajime no ippo, and many others, (yes imahori did soundtracks for all those, and probably more.

  • @ragnor123 it's called slide blues

  • I lov this and the other ost.

  • ¿Alguien aquí sabe de qué está hecho el mundo? ¿Nadie? ¡Es fácil!

¡¡ESTÁ HECHO DE AMOR Y PAZ!!

  • Love & peace baby................ Love & Peace

  • my favourite part 4:11-4:45

  • Great song! Great anime! Thanks for uploading.

  • Omg! Cowboy Bebop! Love them BOTH!! ^_^

  • how does this sound like cowboy bebop's music? i dont get it.

  • This SO sounds like Cowboy Bebop! Lol

  • @MagicTomb1 No...rewatch Cowboy Bebop or at least listen to it's music again please.

  • the situation is not even... *walks away with trash can lid on head*

  • Why, hello there Borderlands 2 theme song!

  • @DrRedabc No. . . that would be "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked" by Caged Elephant.

  • @FelixTheDetective Obviously you did not see the #2. As in they could change the song to this for the sequel and it would be thematically the same.

  • @DrRedabc Yeah, but there are only a certain few changes that can be mad thematically to music of this genre without either moving out of the genre or not getting the right sound. Western blues all sounds the same.

  • This theme makes me think of Cowboy Bebop

  • parts of it kinda remind me of a song from Cowboy Bebop(can't remember the name), while others remind me of a level theme from Pikmin. Either way, still an awesome song

  • The World is made of: LOVE AND PEACE!!

  • Vaaaashh~<3 *A*

  • This song is what you end up with when you plagiarize Led Zeppelin's "In My Time of Dying", take all the hair off its balls, and slap a Japanese-language label on it.

    You've been had, folks.

  • @VysetheTard I thought it sounded kind of like Beck's "Loser" there for a second ^_^;; Still my favorite song from the anime. No need to be harsh. Similarities aside, just enjoy the music.

  • @VysetheTard so true yet so sad...

  • @VysetheTard Led Zeppelin didn't invent slide guitar or the blues. Look into bluesmen like Blind Willie Johnson, Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, and Robert Johnson if you actually care about where these riffs originated.

  • @hoolsverne

Listen to "In My Time of Dying".

Now listen to "Never Could Have Been Worse".

Now listen to "In My Time of Dying" once more, for good measure.

It's not just that they share the same slide-guitar style; they share the same HARMONY. There's no way that's coincidental.

Understand, I'm not just trying to rag on this particular composer for lifting stuff - a whole ton of Japanese artists seem to do it. Led Zeppelin DOES seem to be a popular target for the rip-offs, though.

  • @VysetheTard I think the composer of Never Could Have Been Worse was probably lifting the riff from In My Time of Dying, but I'm also pretty sure that Zeppelin was lifting that riff from Dark Was the Night Cold Was the Ground.

  • @hoolsverne

Trouble is, it's a lot harder to tell. The similarities between the Led Zep song and the Blind Willie song are more remote.

  • Comment removed

  • @hoolsverne

And did I neglect to mention that the opening Trigun theme, "H.T.", ALSO has parts that sound a hell of a lot like "In My Time of Dying"? Well, it does.

  • @VysetheTard Doest that matter though? If you wanna get inspired by someone... get inspired by the best. The fact of the matter is, this theme rules, no matter what you say... and Led will be legendary for eons to come.

So stop arguing about stupid, insignificant stuff... and just listen to good music.

  • @SoulRippster

    "Doest that matter though?"

That's entirely up to you. I'm just giving you the information.

  • Is there any track in this soundtrack that's not totally badass?

  • @TheZombieKing no, there isn't.

  • @TheZombieKing

Yeah. "Sound Life" and any of the songs that feature huge amounts of Japanese dialogue are certainly not badass. But the rest are pretty okay, mostly.

  • Knives! :D

  • I'm not sure if Tsuneo Imahori is using his slide with a Dobro or an acoustic guitar, but fuck yeah for the blues.

  • I fucking love the music in Trigun! :D

  • Only a badass like Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gombigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre Andri Charton-Haymoss Ivanovici Baldeus George Deutscher Kaiser III ~AKA~ Vash The Stampede could have this as a theme song.

  • I wish the series was longer :/

  • 2:07 Here Comes the BadAssness

  • Man this was totally the right song to play when he survived the blast from that fist, then this start to play and you know it was show time.

  • Man I love this song, make me think of Aint No Rest For The Wicked

  • @FallFromGrace13 haha, same here. As soon as i heard the guitar intro i said "WTF!"

Cage the Elephant = awesomeness :D

  • @FallFromGrace13 EXCEPT BETTER!

  • After so amny years...I finally bought this series on DVD. And now I realize...this sounds like it could have been on the Left 4 Dead 2 soundtrack.

  • @DKFan4Life uh? like the jukebox? just change the gamefiles, unless you got it for the 360/ps3

  • @ZounaaS haters gonna hate

  • @ZounaaS oh well LOVE AND PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ZounaaS hmm, sumone gay enough to dislike this song, and retarded enough to brag about it? should we shoot him or just let him kill himself?

  • @SilverGalford Lol, I live in the desert. xD

  • 0:27 and 2:09 i guess..

  • i LOVE 3:20

  • 1:29 is my favorite part

  • @mrzack888 it would have but if you did any research at all you'd know trigun came out in 1997 and ended said year and the concept for trigun started in 1995. joss whedons firefly start and ended in 2002. yea this totally is a rip right?

  • @dewybmt the 90 rocked. nuff said lol.

  • @mrzack888: You're doing it wrong.

  • @mrzack888 I hope you did not mean "ripped off Firefly" because the anime came out in like 97-98'. Years before Firefly....

  • while watching Cowboy Bepob, one of the tracks reminded me of Trigun and suddenly, I see my mp3 player full of alt. rock and a few miscellaneous pop songs, then realize how COOL low twangy guitars, bebop jazz, and spontaneous techno sound to me.... Beware Trigun! I'm almost done pumping up my mp3 with Bebop!! now i need to rewatch this.....

  • This is some amazing music!

It does help that I have nostalgia towards it as well!

  • Imagine this in borderlands!

  • Anyone know what type of genre this kind of music would be classified as? I hear blues, but I've got no clue as to the exact genre. Anything'll help, I appreciate it!

  • @RobToLP Unless music genres have changed the laws they're governed by, then you heard right. This would be Blues, specifically. Other genres I believe this could be classified as would be, Country, Bluegrass(maybe), and more obvious, Western. But, this would mainly be classified as Blues. Of course, I hadn't studied music in a while, so I could be wrong.

  • @KazuyaRazuKazama Turns out its classified as "Delta swamp blues".

  • trigun forever

  • Waha this song is funny xD

  • That 1 person that disliked this song, will be found by Vash. And he will divert his big hand arm gun thing to your face. And the hole in your skull will be massive. Like the badassery of this song.

  • @IBelieveYouOweMePie except vash would literally never kill someone and would probably react much the same as the legato incident. maybe not as bad infact maybe not nearly as bad, but vash would still never kill anyone...hed give them a 12 hour long rant on LOVE AND PEACE!!!

  • vash is about to kick ass. w/out killing. while eating donuts.

love & peace guys, love & peace ;)

  • ty for the upload!

  • Two words: More Dobro

  • I've been listening to all the music with low quality ear-plugs.

I just got a high quality headset, played this as the first thing I listened to, and leaned back and closed my eyes as pure sex flew into my ear tunnels.

  • you know i just had a thought. how do you think vash would fair in saw? thatd probably be worse than hell for a guy like him. its vash or some criminal. who deserves to live. in vash's mind both of them. in jigsaw's mind, neither. but thats a scary thought so i wont think about it. O_O.

  • @dewybmt why would jigsaw want vash dead?

  • @jeremyvillasenor its like a joke because vash appreciates all life and remember how he freaked out when he had to kill legato. OMG SPOILER! but jigsaw likes playing with peoples lives and torturing/killing people. get it? vash is a life lover jigsaw's a murder lover. its like an angel and a demon. =P

  • @dewybmt jigsaw kills people who deserve it; vash doesn't deserve it

  • @jeremyvillasenor yea but vash doesnt think anyone deserves to die and might try to stop jigsaw. or jigsaw might use his 60 billion double dollar bounty against him. who knows. all i meant was what IF vash met jigsaw. =\

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder if borderlands was inspired by this track.

  • Holy shit is that in my time of dying?!?!!? Still damn good.
