Honestly, the stand causes the stop-motion to lose most of its appeal and the lack of background kept me from thinking that the waverider was actually moving.

The HRL suits firing at 0:15 was my favorite part, the most life-like (probably because of the angle and the recoil movements), 'though the Zeta transformations were pretty well done. The animation gets better at the end, especially when you had the Zeta fight in-close with the enemy suits.

Maybe what you could do is make stock transformation scenes you can use to save transforming it while filming it. But it looks really cool!
