The last image purporting to show a frame from the Holloman film is actually a blurred image of one of the Paul Moller saucers. Paul Moller has been making very primitive saucers using propellers built into the frame of the saucer since the sixties. Just do a Google image search for "Moller saucer" and you will see among the images a very sharp version of the same picture.

I believe the still shot of a saucer seen in this clip and proffered as a possible frame from the Air Force film footage is actually a shot of Dr. Paul Moller's test saucer aircraft he was working on in the late 1960s. He was at UC Davis then and owns Moller International aircraft today, developing circular and car like vtol aircraft for commercial use. His 1968 air fan driven ship has the same distinct profile as that seen in this film.

Jerome Clark has documented this in a couple places: Emmenegger claimed the military agreed to give him 3200 feet of film of alien spacecraft landing at Holloman. But when his documentary aired, there was no such footage, just a "hypothetical" scene of what might happen in the "future." This is the part Serling narrates. Much later, in 1988, the producers of this doc went on TV and said they had viewed the film! Clark notes there is no evidence for any of their claims.

@newcome880 While stationed in Germany in the late 50's ( I believe) Gordon Cooper was a F-80 pilot and was scrambled to pursue a UFO. I think the film you are talking about would have been his gun camera film of the UFO. The important thing is tht he openly talks about the incident.

I wil say this- I was stationed at Holloman AFB from 1971 to 1973 and there were some pretty amazing stories floating around then. Concerning this one, if the rumors are corrrect, Eisenhower met with the extraterrestials. Remember that even in disinformation there has to be a grain of truth in order to make it plausible. It's up to us to be objectve enough and investigate deeply enough to find that grain of truth.

Sure! First of all, White Sands Proving Grounds is about 15 miles south of Holloman, and there were frequent sightings of lights over the site. The incident described in the clip happened quite a while before I was stationed at Holloman, but the rumor we heard was that Eisenhower met with the ETs in the West Area of the base. There was also a strong rumor about a UFO being placed in a hangar at the base for a while. It may or may not have been the same one in the clip.

The B&W footage was actually shown on TV in an episode of 1982 Nova called "UFO's: Are we alone?"

I saw it and ordered the VHS tape of it and when it arrived a month later- that segment at the end was gone!

The footage was shot from within a helicopter and showed exactly what is described here.

Maybe someone out there was taping the show as it aired. I have been searching for this since then to no avail.

I first saw this clip aired on the History Channel last week and when I saw the camerman who was sitting in the car I knew it was my Dad. I sent my mom a copy of the officer who was filming from the car and she immediately called me--yes, that was my father! My Mom's only comment was, "That explains a whole lot of things about your Father now." The TDY Officer is (at the time) Capt. Lawrence L Friedman, USAF Pilot F-4's & F105's.
