dont base your enternal life on ancient artwork. trust rather in the LIVING GOD OF THE BIBLE. there are way too many instances of plagerisims and deceptions and historical revisions for me to "feel" comfortable believing "anything" in mormonism. The Bible on the other hand is a Jewish history book with events that CAN be traced. archeology, DNA, even secular historians agree the Bible is true. (the dead sea scrolls can be viewed online these days) google search them. very enlightening :-)

Christ organized His church on the earth and set himself as the head, with the apostles being the foundation of the church, which is a religion itself (Ephesians 2:19-20, Ephesians 4:5-14)

The church was an organized system with prophets, teachers, evangelists, deacons, apostles, priests, bishops etc organized into one body of the edifying of the saints (ie Eph 4:11, 1Tim 3, Rev 1:6)

i have been studying mormonism forthe last two years and i still keep coming to the same conclusion. it's a counterfeit gospel, a false religion. too mant errors and descrepancies to numerate. the endowments and temple ceremonies are direct rip offs of MASONIC ordinances and rites. Didn't Joseph pronounce "apostacy" on anyone who would change the revealed ordinance's yet they HAVE been chanced numerous times. cant warm up to the BOM either. it's just a bad read, like a movie with bad actors

From what I've learned so far..The Temple ordinances came first; the free masons copied (outlined copy back from King Solomon) and free masonry has been used in many different "Cults" or religious groups in a good way...but through secret combinations in some situations it is well known that free masonry has been used as a cover up (if u were 33rd degree you were an elite atheist so to speak). In our temples the ordanances are used in their oringinal secred godly form.

Some would consider that since the days of Noe, the Egyptians held a belief of becoming Kings but more or less "God On Earth" when perhaps this may have been a perverted form of an ancient, true ritual. It all goes back to hermeticism, which masonry is the modern form of it, after all Joseph was a hermetic. If you become a Mason, you'll probably never encounter the Devil in it.

If you are NOT a Mason, you'll probably find SCORES and VOLUMES of information that those folks would rather you THINK were true about it. Outside the Masonic Lodges, I'm sure there will be MUCH said about their opinions of what goes on inside. Some may suggest that they have insider information. It could be hearsay or speculation or worse... blatant lies against them.

It is true that veils are used in the Royal Arch masonic degree, as seen in the above print but they are not marked and are used for a different purpose entirely.

I'm only seeking to understand. I agree that rituals were practiced and were of divine guidance as recorded in the Old Testament. My point was that an ancient mosaic is not compelling enough, for me, to view the Mormon's present day rituals as divine, especially since I understand that Jesus fulfilled the old law, which is to whom all the Old Testament ceremonies were about. I too believe in God the Father and in His son Jesus Christ..that commonality I share with Mormons.

@magtomasi - In the temple, we experience how GOD had made the early Christian's into Saints. In one instance, John stated, "thou has made us Kings and Priests..." and those things are not done lightly and were not part of the normal ritual. At no point does one claim sainthood at baptism... and neither is the person who is baptized immediately pronounced a king.

Those things are discovered along the pathway to perfection.

Something beautifully explained in the endowment. (Rev 1: 5-6, 3:19-21)

I understand the liberty you are taking to interpret those verses in that manner, which are ambiguous to me. Sainthood? Perfection? obtained through rituals?...No human being has or ever will walk the earth perfectly, only Jesus. No amount of ritual will perfect or elevate man to sainthood...only through his faith in Jesus Christ, efforts to live as He taught, and by the grace of God can one hope/attain such things. Until you have a clear definition for Revelations 1:5-6 and 3:19-21, then hear us out. If your church doesn't currently teach that a man's life is an eternal progression working towards perfection, then it does not have the power to save.

I have found authorized ministers who have provided me a valid baptism and have thence been adopted into the house of Israel via the said ordinance. Only through the said baptism may one have full access to the Atonement with Jesus Christ; for he has said, "Straight is the way and narrow is the Gate" that leads men towards eternal life and there be many who do not find it.

I'm all in with the Lord's anointed prophet and Apostles.

What must be addressed in how one accesses the saving necessary ordinances of the gospel which includes: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, and the receiving of the Gift of the Holy Spirit. All of these things must be performed by authorized ministers in the House of Israel: ie, with someone that holds the priesthood authority of God. Even Abraham gave his tithes to Melchizedek;

@plimpton477 - indeed. This video sits as a well lit candle... but found in a very dark and spacious field. I am glad it's lit. Folks can come closer to it and see for themselves... so long as they are not afraid to do so. Fear, being taught by the precepts of men had been well predicted by Isaiah (Ch 29:11-14) and it is because of this fear that they keep aloof of any possible good thing that could make what we do as LDS followers of Christ seem ANYTHING like what mainstream deems as Christian.

With absolute knowledge comes absolute condemnation for those men NOT living after the manner of truth and pathways made sure. I think God's plan, although VERY HANDS OFF SEEMING at times, is STILL the best way. God is MERCIFUL!
