  • I own this gun and plan on buying more. Love them. But it will not replace my AK as my main battle rifle.

  • do you know of a store or a website where i can buy one of those?

  • 99$ on sale @ big 5 sporting good's mosin nagant get em when they go on sale...

  • A heavily armed mall-ninja with several hundred rounds, six spare clips, a tricked out glock, and an AR-15 with so many accessories it's one battery pack away from becoming a dirtbike getting popped with a mosin nagant is just as delicious as watching some little punk execute a bunch of whirling kicks and karate chop motions right before some grizzled old man knocks him out with an old fashioned punch. Looking cool doesn't mean crap if you suck. Lesson to be learned. :)

  • Nagant bolt

  • sgammo.com seems to have the best prices on 7.62X54R, others come close but the shipping charges put them over the top.

  • I like, and agree with how my roommate puts it. "A gun is a tool. It's a tool you can have a lot of fun with, but in the end it's just a tool meant to do a job or fix a problem."

I actually gave in finally and bought my first M91/30 today. In 11 days I'll get to tear it down and clean it for the first time. Happy days a'comin'!

Now the downside is having to drive an hour to get to a rifle shooting range. :( I hate California.

  • where can you buy a mosin nagant of quality?

  • @unblestmuffin Anywhere. Just make sure you pull the bolt (open open, pull trigger and slide the bolt all the way out) and the barrel for pitting or rust (shine a light down the barrel and look from the other end). Avoid rust or obvious common sense defects. Does the bolt slide smoothly? Does it decock and fire correctly? Guns are actually pretty simple and pretty hard to screw up, especially after you've built several (37) million of them.

Big 5 carries them for $109.

  • @unblestmuffin hey! the BEST place is at gun shows simply because of the selection, i just picked up a 1935 hex with 880 rds of ammo for 285 dollars. make sure to dry fire the gun several times and work the action find the smoothest action and the one you like the best and get it!

  • But i wanna be G.I. Joe :(

  • were did you get your mosin

  • @MrMoonpaced Why would you want to know? That's just a standard one, it's not like it's special or anything. He probably got it at his local gun store. If you were wondering about the prices, it is around $90 for an average one, $190 for a high quality one, or $500 dollars for a badass sniper version used in the battle of Stalingrad (granted the scope is probably worth twice as much as the gun itself.

  • from 4:58 to 5:20------- just about the most no bullshit logic i heard in a while!!

  • If it kills zombies then ill accept it....

  • The man speaks the truth.

  • i tell my friends who cant afford an ar or ak(or any gun) i say to them buy this and a case of surplus ammo

  • best video ever. all the tactical cock suckers need to watch this

  • I own two of this rifles and both are highly inaccurate. I would not be confident shooting at a deer past 75 yards, let alone shoot at someone shooting back.! You get what you pay for.

  • @CazadoresLatinosDePA i own 3 of em one of em the bores toast on and the accuracy sucks on it but the other 2 are fine ones sporterized and will shoot 1.5 MOA groups at 150 yds, so check your bores get some practice and work on the fundmentals

  • Ill stick with my AR. Sticking with your arguement though you should endorse the idea of buying a kitchen knife for $5 and hiding until somebody with cool shit comes around. If they dont see you than you can kill them and take their shit. Now youve saved yourself another $95.

  • Why would you need to shoot someone at 500 yards? How could you be sure you didn't just kill some transient simply moving through your area? Unless they are firing at you, in a without rule of law situation, seeing a weapon in someone's hand wouldn't mean it is someone that means you harm. Seems like cold-blooded murder to me. Threats are hard to assess and choices like ending someone's life are not simple matters. Police have been know to make that mistake at 10 yards.

  • The Mosin Nagant easily has the highest sniper kill count of any firearm ever. A nice cheap option that renders most body armor useless. Best to learn without a scope White Death style.

  • I like this. Its really lowkey and with all the money your save you can buy a ton of ammo.

  • @bighitter42 correct...that's the point. Use what you have and develop your skillset behind the trigger. As for the effectiveness of the Mosin, yes, it's going to have a longer effective range than the AK or AR platforms. Like @millerusaf said, if the Mosin user is trained up and sees the adversary first.....

  • good setup .308 isaphour enfield easyer to get good ammo and fast fireing you make a good point low -no maintanence.and practice practice practice

  • Out of ALL of my firearms, my Mosins are my most prized. Powerfull, reliable, affordable. It has become the weapon of the modern minuteman.

  • Excuse me-- these rifles were made to last

  • With this weapon and a simple low powered 3.5x PU soviet scoped built to go with these rifles the Russians could blast heads clean off at up to thousands of yards... Good luck doing that with your tacticool piece of shit. These rifles were are to last, and no m16 or ak47 will ever be able to top that.

  • @fletcher15453 Really? Heads clean off a one thousand yards? How come I don't see any Mosins at the 1k line? If you're somewhat close to Houston, let's go shoot at 1K. Hell, let's shoot at 300. Do you dare?

They're great for what they are...a tough, moderately functional rifle that costs less than $100.

    Beyond that? Don't kid yourself.

  • @bighitter42 The point of this video shouldn't be that a Mosin is BETTER than modern designs, because it's not. But it should be that the operator is more important than the tool.

  • Cool rifle.

  • The Mosin Nagant is a fine rifle for what it is. I got 2 of them. I go to every gun show I can get to, to find out what is on the street, and this year the 2012 SHOT show was just about all tactical weapons. The average citizens has gone paramilitary. If the SHTF I think the Nosin Nagant is a bit marginal. Also Most 7.62X54 are corsive so clean your gun well.

  • lol, Mosin- Nagant>"Tacticool"

Except for the M14... Those kick ass.

  • #1:26 , man i whas thinking you have taked a picture, and just talked. Then i realized that it IS a video when you hand comes down and i almost shit my self...

  • Best redneck sales pitch: include the words "tactical" or "survival". last month i bought some tactical playing cards, whod've known they existed!

  • I remember when I was at a range in San Antonio last year and I had a basic, just bought WASR. There was also a gentleman with a "Tacticool" AR-15. I shot better than him though I was using lousy iron sights. I think folks rely too much on technology to do the marksmanship for them.

  • Is the silver tip ammo corrosive and how expensice is it ive been looking to get better with my mosin the sights are giving me hell cause im not familiar with them but practise makes perfect right

  • Looks like something "Urban Outfitters" would carry. If "Tactical Hipsters" start popping up, you got no one to blame but yourself.

  • Dude you got the exact same gun, accessories, and ammo pouch as ME! COOL! Except I use mainly surplus ammo and hunting rounds.

  • @kelevra13666 : very interested in where you were able to find a Remington 700 and an AR-15 for under $500! Thanks in advance!

  • 98k>mosin

  • The funny thing is that your rifle and ammo pouches are in fact "tacticool", tactical, and state of the art, for 1898 that is.

  • Russian sks or AK, with a shit-ton of yugo ammo, and a glock 19 (super reliable and NATO uses 9mm)

  • @ Millerusaf;

you very good points on your video. I myself have a number of so called tactical firearms but that being said one of my all time favorites is my Grandfathers Mauser 8mm she's a hard hitting son of a bitch for sure and like you've pointed out hunting game or man for a low cost bang is just as good to me as any overpriced firearms of today. a ton of pluses ammo for cheap spare parts for cheap accessories for cheap = the deal of the century on a tight budget.

  • 1 mosin, 1 kimber pro CDP II, and an 870

  • Truth :)

  • ive been reading the comments and arguments, seen the back and forth on AR's, AK's, and SHTF statements. to quote the OVP millerusaf "be competent in what you have and what you can afford." all the firearms debated are good and functional if you have the training and familiarity with them. i myself own a Remington 700, a british enfield 303 and a AR-15 none of which i paid over $500 for. its all about finding a platform that works for your budget and skill set.

  • i got me a mosin,what a bargain.......love it

  • I bought my Mosin Nagant a year ago and absolutely love it. It's such a good all-around firearm. Good for hunting, fun to shoot at the range, and plenty effective in the "shit hits the fan" scenario. That's why it sits right next to my go bag.

  • windex?????? to clean a gun

  • @sillyman2266 ya, you can clean a gun with soapy water most of the time, as long as you dry it out, there wont be any problems. Military firearms are meant to be used in all environments, water isnt going to hurt them. And the tiny amount of ammonia in the windex isnt going to hurt a military rifle. Hell i soak my AK-74 in soapy water in the tub to make sure all the corrosive powder is out. Dont listen to people trying to sell you fancy oils, soapy water, brake degreaser/fluid work fine, + CLP

  • been many people kia'ed w/ a nagant...very good rifle.

  • You have WAAAYYYY too much time on your hands and probably have watched "Red Dawn" too many times! (Yes I know this is a Russian rifle).LoL

  • So are you tacitly contending that stripper clips would be "tacticool"? For me I think a couple of bucks for quick full loading wouldn't be extravagant and could easily be included in "needs" You do, after all, have a special ammo pouch rather than loose rounds in a pocket so we are straying outside the literal NEED already.

  • so your saying my little 22. lr is still a good gun for man killin ... if not the best

  • Mosins are used to hunt polar bears. Plus there's stripper clips for faster loading. Yep, you can get your targets weapons to after taking them down. I use an sks. Getting a Mosin for a sniper/hunting rifle. Also, watch Enemy at the Gates to see what they can do.

  • eezox is amazing it makes cleaning allot easier and faster

  • The Mosin Nagant 91/30 is deadly but the Mauser K98K is better because the sights and the action is more positive.I have been trained on the VZ24 which the sights are small and friggin crap, but my brother's K98K are big and better for combat. My dad was a prick and insisted that us kids train on these rifles when we were kids. When I got into the Army at 17 and using M16A1s the peep sights were easier and the recoil way too cool. The Drill Sergeants at Benning had me shoot against everybody.

  • No Bullshit ! These are proven battle rifles, yes indeed I have out shot guys who bought ARs or AKs who have no clue on how employ them because they have never been in the military.Especially true with insurgents in Iraq when they shot at me,they dont know what a rear sight is,they just shoot on full auto in my direction. Most of them dont know how to fix a malfuntion either.I got lucky twice at 75 meters.I would not be lucky with a trained Iraqi regular soldier.

  • i love my m44 for close fighting also people running their mouths about yards gun fights are done in feets

  • Thank you finally someone who doesnt have his head in his tacticool behind. You artfully presented the great traits of the mosin. Uses cheap, big rounds, big rounds, cheap rifle, reliable. Beware the man with one gun, he will know how to use it.

  • I like your idea here, the only thing I would add is good revolver as a side arm. A .38 or 357 would come more in handy on up close threats and you don't have to worry about jamming. A shotgun isn't a bad choice either. Nice video

  • Amen brother they are still using these in battle in the middle east ! The cartridge is still a sniper round to this day. Its been in service for well over 100 years , you can't out tactical that .

  • You may not have time to put on your Condor plate carrier, fill your hydration bladder, put on your Danner boots, grab extra batteries for all your laser sights, flashlights, red dot sights. The man on the move, will be better off, this guy speaks the truth.

  • @doomsdaymachine619 I agree, iron sights need no batteries and simple is always better. his rifle is a simple well made gun. I have 2 and use them for hunting. I have hit and killed deer out to 800 yards with them. None of my guns have laser sights or any type of sight system that needs batteries. everyone remember well aimed incoming gunfire is the most feared thing on a battlefield. an entire unit of soldiers can be stopped by a well hidden gunman with an accurate rifle

  • In the SHTF senerio, Time is precious, seconds count. The first obstacle is your neighbors. Not the police, army, invaders, whatever. 1 in 5 of your neighbors have a firearm. Get out of the city. get away from as many indivisuals as you can. What you have is something someone else wants. If your truely concerned about a SHTF senerio, Join a Malitia. A milita will help you organize your basic needs. A malitia will prepare you physically, mentally and give you peace of mind.

  • Save your money. Buy Russian LOL

  • You my good man, talk a lot of sense, screw nutnfacy!

  • @TheJonsnape Nutnfancy speaks a lot of sense too. Both people are correct in what they say. There's nothing wrong with having combat gear either.

As an aside -- and I'm not saying that the video's creator is doing this at all because he's not -- but there are A LOT of people who seem really excited about without rule of law or shit hit the fan situations. Do these people not realize how fucking horrible that would be?

  • @Bahu767 I realize how horrible it would be. That is why I am stressed every day thinking about it in terms of how much food, water, ammo, tactical gear and survival supplies & equipment me and my family have. Lest I forget the training, as well. My goal is to be near 100% ready before Sept. of 2012. But with reserving a mere $100 to $150/mo. for all of the aforementioned needs, deciding on what to buy each month is very tough.

  • @Bahu767 They have no clue what war looks like, much less not being able to go home afterwards. Regarding guns and gear, people forget that many of the guys with the gear, have the training to go with it. Guns & Gear are more of a donation to an enemy if you dont have tactics & functional knowledge to go with it!

  • @Bahu767 I disagree that nuts n faggy guy is playing a role, he exaggerates his military service and is biased in his reviews (see the CRKT knife that he claimed was unsafe when the company did not rate or market it for bush survival, unless he got embarrassed and took it down)

That veri girl is also an idiot she lost my submission for a contest and that wouldnt refund me or replace the item i would have won despite them both making money off their YT fans

  • It is true the best shooters at the range I go to dont have high tech gear and dont care too.

I am a very good shot and I dont have anything fancy on my gear. It works so I dont do anything to it. I was shooting a old 91 30 last time I went to the range with better accuracy and groupings then some kid with a decked out ar. I was using cheap surplus ammo too.

The argument of ammo type in survial situations is stupid. In combat there will be lots of guns laying around.

  • Those pouches hold 4 stripper clips perfectly. I got mine for 5 bucks on amazon - not the best, but they're just a damn stripper clips.

  • They make stripper clips for Mosin Nagants, only place you can really find them is online

  • For $300 you can get a Remington 700 with a scope. Better groups cheaper accessories and ammo if you go with a .308. Old rifles aren't bad but they aren't a bargain either.

  • you sold me, ha ha, I'm already looking for a place to buy one

    anyone have any suggestions?

  • @01jkgoet go to jgsales.com then rifles..then mosin nagant..there ya go

  • Nice video..i just bought one today ;) awesome rifle

  • Nutnfancy is going to be worrying about getting dirt in his new tactical flashlight and miller is just going to plink him off from a couple hundred yards away. Lol. ^_^

  • I thought I would add the fact that in a Chinese/Russian invasion situation, there would be plenty of enemy combatants using the PKM machine guns, or Dragunov sniper rifles that both shoot the same round as the Mosin. After you ran out of 5.56 ammo for your $1500 AR you would be picking up a mosin anyways :)

  • @Ilikemusclecars100 The most likely "invaders" will be US Northern Command enforcing martial law and exterminating Americans in FEMA concentration camps. So there would be plenty of 5.56 laying around.

  • Just wondering, have you considered packing your ammo into five round stripper clips?

  • And don't forget that badass mosin also includes the cleaning rod. Can't beat it, I just wish it was easier to mount a scope. the scope mounts on the market now I hear are Iffy. Suggestions anyone?

  • @fishfrizbee you can remove the pins out of the rear sight and tap it off the use 3/8" dovetail high profile scope mounts on it. Make sure you get a long sight scope though since it will be farther than normal. Google around and you'll find it

  • @hock3ydud3 Thanks. Bud. Also Just last night I saw a nutnfancy vid Of a new scope mount that Has good ratings and you can still use the iron sights. I want to see a video of what your talking about

  • Here you said you could get 200 rounds of bulgarian ammo for like 50$ Can you please post a link to a few sites that you recommmend. Like cheaper than dirt. com has spam cans for most of 100 bucks

  • Get Mosins while you can!

    $1000+ for 1 AR-15 OR...

    $1000 for 10 Mosins

    Would you rather...

    Arm yourself...

    Arm yourself and your family?

  • Where did this misinformation come out about corrosive ammo?

I really don't like group think.

I clean my gun with hopps after i shoot corrosive ammo and I have yet to see any rust!

  • Great video. I just picked one of these up today.

  • I was Security Forces in the Air Force and after 4 years with an M4, the AR15 variants (souped up or not) just don't appeal to me. Other weapons are much more fun. It's important to be prepared I think a lot of people use their fantasies about SHTF scenarios as an excuse to hoard weapons and ammo and spend money on all kinds of "Tactical" stuff. Even if it were to happen, I would take an SKS or M1 Garand over a an AR15 any day.

  • @CitruLiard very few i never came across any myself but ik a few that have. but all in all if the shit hits the fan i would have a remington 700 308 and a m16/m4

  • @thegreatkurt2013 the enemy today has ak47,rpg, ieds, and vbieds. the wouldnt be near the pain in the ass if they had mosin. maybe if they had that and nothin else my best friend since i joined wouldnt be dead right now.

  • @Breakneckhydra1 Im in the Army and been deployed to Afghanistan how the are u gonna tell me wat i dont have.

  • @faduleman doubt it i qualify expert with my m16 and m249. i would turn u into swiss cheese before u could blink. there would be no contest

  • @92dlandry yeah but with the element of surprise on his side he can still do serious damage why do you think that terrorists are such a pain in the ass if you adopt guerilla and terrorist tactics then you have more of a chance

  • @92dlandry Ah words of big headed dumdass who has alot of learning to do

  • just for the record if u take a mosin on the mordern battle field u wouldnt see the sun go down. personally ima stick with my m249 saw and m-4 they havent failed me yet

  • @92dlandry not if you use a mosin correctly

  • @92dlandry

You don't have an M-4 or m249 so your point is null and void.

  • @92dlandry I've heard there are afghan fighters using mosins and some to good effect. It's not optimal, but the gun you carry is not as important as the one carrying it.

  • i picked up a mosin nagant because its a very cheap simple sniper/hunting rifle and has a big caliber. i dont need to spend more on a name brand with a high price tag to do the same thing. as long as it shoots and hits its target, im all for it.

  • got mine for 80 bucks

  • what website carries the cheap ammo you talk about?

  • @sWoLaNdO aim surplus . com -- Like the best pricing on the interweb. Were talking 440 rounds for about 80 bucks.

  • It's longer and makes for a good striking weapon when outta ammo AND let's no forget the bayonet. Mines nice and sharp!

    -ManTis

  • Just because someone has a $100 rifle does NOT mean that's all he can afford. Look up nutnfancy's videos. I'm sire that guy has at least a few hundred thousand in guns and tactical gear. I myself rock an all vintage M1956 web gear loadout. No guns though... Yet

  • Amen to that. Always beware the man with one gun that he knows how to use.

Thanks brother for keeping it real.

  • just because it cost little, doesn't mean this rifle has less quality. it's an excellent rifle ! i'd pick this rife over remington 700 series.

  • I have 2 Kar98's same set up, i agree with you.

  • when ever i flish the toilet i think of a person that disis the mosin

  • @hutningnola Do you know how many machine gunners were killed with these rifles ?If you cant hit out to and past 500 yrds with open sights you are doing something terribly wrong.I know many 10 year olds that are doing that.

  • Man I agree, with old bolt guns all you need is a sling and some bullets in pouches and pockets to still be combat effective because of light weight mobility. That is why some insurgents still use them and the military call those people "snipers".

  • i love the ppl that dis on the "old relics" they make me laugh. i too own a 91/30 (1943) and as far as the "end of the world" goes, id take a mosin nagant over an ar15 or ak47 any day.

    great video by they way!

  • Thanks for posting and sharing your opinion about the MN rifle and you are correct in what you are saying and keep in mind that most important point you have made is that it is a weapon that has stood the test of time and is still reliable, so next to an AK47 I would have MN series of rifles as it has a lot of punch for not a whole lot of money and the cartridge is still in use today atesting to a hertiage of over 120 years of service since 1891. 30.06 has been around a 100 years.

  • Those "tacticool" guys are just retards with small cocks, and no matter how cool your gun is, he will still have a small cock.

  • This whole tactical thing on youtube is getting way out of control. Also why would you shoot a person who is beyond a 100 yards in any situation. Unless that person is a suicide bomber there is no logical reason to shoot that far out. Dont you have your CWP? Yes you do so you should know better.

  • What are you engaging at 500yards in a SHTF scenario? If they're that far away just turn around and go the other way. You're more likely to encounter some sort of bandits who try to take your stuff that either track where you're holed up or ambush you on the road.

Also you're planning on shooting someone with an AR that is 500yards away simply because he has a better rifle than you... you sound like an arsehole

  • I got my 1st Mosin 91/30 4 weeks ago Tula might i add at my local Big5 and i took it from 25ft to 300ft..so all this smack folks are talking most dont own a Mosin or a have yet to even shoot one. and before all you trolls jump on my status yes i own a Ak and a SKS and AR-15..so i know what the hell i'm speaking on..but if you guys have a spare $150 black friday is around the corner and i say go to Dick's,Gander Mt or Big5 and get you a Mosin to add to your collection.

  • im guessing that theres been mosin nagants that have failed and worn out and not shot straight blah blah blah dont need to bad mouth all the other guns just cuz you cant afford one.

  • @lolKaBooMlol I cannot afford other guns???

  • @millerusaf LOL 500 hundred yards????bhahahahahahaha. I laugh at you seriously!! I have a bronwing a-bolt 270, bull barrel wearing a 3x9x50 leaupld and I have serious trouble at 500 yards.. And I compete with that rifle at matches..put your money where your mouth is since you are making video's and prove it. 500 yards is waaayyyyyyyy out of your iron sights range. if not PROVE IT! other then that you are full of SHIT!

  • @hutningnola I shoot out to 600 meters with standard underfolder AK47s with iron sights and mil surp 7.62x39mm ammo.

    /watch?v=eNy1wKE0fz4

A good condition Mosin Nagant will kick the pants off an AK47 as far as accuracy goes. 500 meters is not that far of a distance.

  • @millerusaf Im not talking about pot shots im, talking accuracy on paper here.. you make this rifle out to be the best sniper rifle around cause it cost 100bucks and thats all cool but realistically 500 yards as a lonnngggggggggggggg wayss away you prove that in your 250 yard video lol.. make a video of you consistently hitting at papper plate at 500 yards n ill shut my mouth. lol anyone can kentucky wind a ak not everyone from a bench can shoot a mossi consistent at 500 with paper plate targets

  • @hutningnola You really don't have4 a clue do you? 500 meters is not that far a distance for a rifle at all...lol. Tell ya what. First you put up some videos proving me wrong, then I'll respond with a video showing me smack a target at 500. Show me without a doubt that a Mosin Nagant will NOT shoot to 500 meters.

First you gotta prove yourself to me since you want to get into an internet argument...lol.

  • @millerusaf i believe you because i shoot filled milk jugs, pop cans, and golf balls at 200 yards with a non modified 1942 91/30 Mosin Nagant standing supported shooting... with 147 grain 1974 spam can russian mil-surp ammunition lol so that guy don't know shit about "match" shooting i also shoot my remington 512 .22 at 200 yards at pop cans while supported with a bipod and a 10X mil-dot scope lol so that guy just needs to learn how to shoot... and im only 20 years old lol

  • @millerusaf /watch?v=t2M1hC4c0tc

  • @millerusaf just to clarify, did you mean yards or meters? though, 500 yards is equal to 457 meters. 300 meters, the standard for farthest target on Army ranges, is a little challenge for iron sights. 500 meters is harder still.

  • @millerusaf ive shot a 300 bulls-eye several times EASY with irons with the mosin

  • @TheGuest97 Realistically, hitting a bullseye at 300 meters with a 91/30 does have a HELL of a lot to do with luck...they're not the most accurate things in the world. At best, you can only expect a ~4" group at 100m (with a non ex-PU sniper rifle) and a ~12" group at 300, regardless of how great your aim is.

  • @Cosmo1093 i get 1 moa at 100 yards iron sights it matters the condition how well you shoot and if you have just a standard PU or PE scope helps alot these rifles are probably 1 moa machines but again its the shooter and condition

  • @millerusaf he said yards dip shit

  • @LuceStule1234 ...u mad, bro?

  • @millerusaf dont kid yourself mosins shooting 500 yards open sites IS difficult

  • @97bighunter If the Mosin is in decent shape, it's not hard to do. Shoot off a bag/bipod and it's easy. I've shot 500 meters with Mosins quite often. Just make sure it's sighted in correctly, and you are good to go. :)

  • @hutningnola marines train to hit man size targets with an m16a2/4 consistently at 300 yards. If they had a rifle with a heavier round and more powder, they can easily hit man size targets a 500-600 yards. quiet yourself if you don't know what you are talking about. like he said in the vid, " use what works for you". he didn't say everyone can shoot well at 500yds with a mosin, but he says he can, and i believe him cause 500 yds is cake for a good rifle (shooter dependent)

  • @11bHOOAHH Actually Marines train to hit out to 500 yards. It's basic marksmanship to them. I wish the USAF would start going out that far also. 300 is a cakewalk for an M-16/M-4.

  • @millerusaf exactly. It emphasizes my point.lol i Knew it was pretty long but wasn't sure cause im an ARMY guy lol (not enlisted yet, and want to go to Westpoint) Thanks for you service. I always will have the up most respect for people like you. Thanks

  • @11bHOOAHH Marines train annually on a 500 yard range. Take your own advice and "quiet yourself if you don't know what you are talking about".

  • @TheRaleighRocket read the other damn comments. Im an army guy and knew the Marines train a farther distance, bt wans't sure. don't come off like a jack ass, because im open minded and will take advice from others if I know they are correct.

  • @millerusaf Like i said Put your money where your mouth is and make your video? not cut or edited of you putting 5 762x54r rounds on papper plate one after another at 500 yards Iron sights. Other then that stick to shooting pot shots with your bulk ak ammo that anyone can do. We are talking about Nagants here not 30rds of ak47 anyone can adjust to that.

  • @hutningnola wow just another idiot the mosin nagant is more than capable, i don't like the gun for me but he seems happy with it, ps i would love to prove you wrong I've shot that type of rifle very accurate .

  • @jewls323 prove it.

  • @hutningnola people shoot m1-garands at 1000 yards iron sights you just suck dick

  • @MrDip02 IF SO POST A VIDEO DICK RIDA. IF NOT SHUT THE FUCK UP. U USELESS DRONE. NOW HAVE A NICE FUCK IN THE ASS WEEKEND SHITBAG.

  • @hutningnola learn about guns fucking retarded is call of duty the only resource you have

  • very good common sense video man,I love your channel.....not very many common sense down to earth people on here anymore,it's mostly AR15 gun snobs you see everywhere. It would be funny if SHTF and somebody only had a mosin nagant and popped a bad guy with a 3000 dollar ar15 and then took it from him haha

  • @SolidSnake4Ever2003 thats exactly whats going to happen because a bunch of guys think they are going to start patrolling with their own militia and police their own area if SHTF

In reality, people will quickly become nervous/suspicious and desperate and will fire on each other, those who dont actively patrol but rather sit with long range weapons and wait watching will have the final say.

Africa and the middle east are perfect examples of that weapon being used effectively against an AR today

  • I masturbated on your voice talking.

  • man dude why does everybody dis you, you say mosins are good and everyone assumes you only own one cuz ur broke, ithats stupid. i for one think your reviews are the best on youtube and your videos have helped me with the making of some of my own. thank you

  • @545Krinkify will u have my back ... u know in case some zombies would like to join me ? :D when nature calls ... u can't resist it for a long time :p

  • @545Krinkify is it unethical to make love to a zombie woman ? in case no women are left ? don't worry i will use a condom and carry a beretta in case :D

  • @545Krinkify awesome comment :D but if u shoot zombies ... u ain't getting anything :D

  • Nice video, while a bolt action rifle is not the end all and be all of weapons these days, there is a lot to be said for these time tested battlefield weapons. Adding one of these to your arsenal at their price is a no brainer.

  • I tell you what I wouldn't want to defense myself, a bolt action anything lol. There's a reason they don't get used anymore. Can it work in some cases, sure, but its not ideal for allot of other situations.

  • lol 1-3 shots to kill an 'average adult'. one well placed shot could do it i think. the human body is fragile.

  • @frankthebricklayer Vasily Zaytsev was a genius marksman that had been shooting his entire life, not some random person that is buying a Mosin Nagant as their first rifle because they have no other option.

  • You are just preaching with what you have to make yourself feel better. Your standard 91/30 is good out to 100 yards with irons and a seasoned marksman in standard battle conditions.

The only people who consistently hit targets at 500 yards are using 91/30 snipers with scopes, match ammunition, and perfect shooting conditions.

If you had a Finnish 91/30 sniper with a Leupold, you can back up MOST of what your saying.

But a rack 91/30 with irons? No way man, wake up.

  • @Tehyamz Where do you get your information? Have you sat down and tried shooting an Mosin Nagant 91/30 part 100 yards? I have, and I can tell you from first hand experience, a rack grade mosin with a decent barrel will hit out way farther than just 100 yards.

  • @millerusaf Of course I have shoot them, I own three. I own two 91/30's and an m44. If your shooting standard targets past 100 yards with irons they completely cover the target. Iron sights give you 0 precision. Are they a great gun? Yes. But nobody is going to hit targets on command at 500 yards with iron sights on a rack grade 91/30.

Pop cans at 50 yards are one thing. 7.62x54R starts to drop significantly after 400 yards. You cant make precision shots with irons at "your" ranges.

  • @Tehyamz I should do up a video soon showing what I am talking about. :)

As far as me just trying to talk up what I own, you can look at my channel and tell I own lots more than just Mosins. ;)

For the record. 500 yards is not long range. Irons can easily hit out to 500 yards. don't take my word for it, though. Ask a Marine.

  • @millerusaf We qualify at 500 yards at PI. You can shoot out to a thousand yards with iron sites if your eyes are good enough. I am SURE you know 500 yards with a good rifle and a human size target isnt anything amazing almost anyone can learn how to do it. Hit a person shooting at you from 500 yards is a different story. Real world is never the same as shooting paper.

  • @millerusaf 500 yards IS long range. 1000 yards is longer range. the majority of people cannot shoot a "group" at 200 yards. I can though. but Ive been doing it for a few years. It's hard to find a place you can shoot 500 yards where I live.

  • @Tehyamz A 91/30 beats what most Americans will have if/when SHTF (which is nothing... over half of American households don't own a gun.) so I'd say this guy is on the right track.

FWIW, I have several expensive semi-auto handguns/rifles which I've modded/tricked out over the years - lasers, fancy scopes, custom triggers ect. - and sometimes I really wonder just how much I've gained (when it comes to lethality) over the old .357 snub and 7x57 bolt action my dad gave me when I was 10 years old!

  • @bjggjb. Bolt action rifles have there place but they wont compete with anything Semi auto in a fire fight. You have to have the element of surprise with one of those, if you are spotted first you are fucked. That's assuming of course there ever is a situation where people are hunting other people in a WROL type situation. There's a reason that nobody uses them anymore in military type situations. Couldn't hurt to have but its not gonna be the rifle I grab as I'm running out the door.

  • @pac6010 Of course, there's the question of durability and ease of maintenance (fewer parts to break/lose with a bolt action.)

One more thing... that scoped bolt action 7x57 of mine will outrange an AR15 (and WAY outrange any AK.) If it was all I had in said WROL scenario, I could have an AR15 or an AK any time I wanted one; just snipe the AR/AK guy from 400 yds/take his gun! That being said, maybe I ought to grab it as I'm
