@Northax Great information --- I agree organic is the way to go... we all need to vote with our dollars the best way we can. I know it's expensive right now but it's vital to our health and our environment. I have raw organic Apple Cider Vinegar - it has many uses and I think it tastes great - I use it on salads too! PURE Baking Soda is something no one should be without.
We also MUST work on getting fluoride out of our water supply and as a pesticide on fruit and veggie crops.
The body will balance the pH of the blood by stealing minerals from other areas like the bones and organs because it is vital that our blood be maintained at 7.365. But there are other varying pH levels within our body that also need to be maintained but have greater fluctuation like our urine and reflect quite directly the food we consume.
If we eat an acidic diet for a prolonged time it will eventually make small incremental changes to our blood making it more acidic and the smallest variation in our blood = big problems like disease. So the urine will reflect a pH variation of your diet but the blood will struggle to maintain homeostasis for pure survival every moment we live and breath as best that it can even if it means depleting other organs, thus also the reason incidence of disease occurs.
This is a nicely made video, but I have to question why grains are not mentioned as acid forming as they are large constituents of the human diet. Are you eating a grain based diet or something?

@DianeDi The reason why it's not is most likely because then people would have less illness, and then that makes the medical / pharmaceutical industry much less money! The government and "medical" industry do not care about peoples' heath. They only care about financial gain and power. We're on our own when concerning TRUE health. We must spread the word and hope this changes things for future generations to come, because trusting the FDA, government or pharmaceutical industry is a joke
@Northax I worked in a large Pharma Corporation - it's all about the money. Their budget focuses on sales and marketing..... it's about the bottom line profit. We are only good to them sick, not dead or healthy. Artificial drugs have never cured anything, just masked the problem. We are what we eat -- no doubt in my mind.

I am doing a project on alkaline diets right now and I am wondering about the dangers of alkalosis. I understand that it is bad to have a highly acidic diet because your body struggles to maintain balance but isnt this also true for a diet high in alkaline? Im sure your body has to use vital nutrients and energy to bring down your ph as well and Im wondering what you think about this?

We have become a society dependent on the Corporations that want nothing more than for us to buy their products & spend everyday commuting, working, shopping, eating, sleeping & wondering why we R so exhausted, disassociated & unhappy in our daily lives. Oh, but wait, BIG PHARMA has a pill for all that. I think once people start eating right they will see through the lies.
i hate soda! but my question to u is why do most world class chefs like chef ramsay not give you more akline then acid. i mean he still think its good to have meat and hes skinny and a cook so wouldt he kno whar hes talking about

I suppose we should be asking our medical profession, particularly our own doctors why they push pills on people, rather than pointing us in the direction for ever lasting health. Well my feeling is it's not profitable..... there are many sick people and lots of pills to be sold. If the majority of people got health, BIG PHARMA would suffer.

I have a question... If the body will automatically regulate its PH balance, wouldn't the test strips always read that you're balanced?
