@turboz8826 it was just for an information cuz i didnt knew what was "lean" and my dad knows alot about car but thx for the advise men i appreciate that !!!
@Sam1sThere learning about cars on youtube? thats not how you do it. go buy an older car pull it into a garage and start working on it, you will make a ton of mistakes but keep working on it and asking questions when you go get parts and eventually you will know everything you need to know. also google helps
@arinsoom True, but it also effects AFR between gears. You don't want to take the chance at lean while engaging into a gear under boost...I've seen it happen, just saying :) My KA project is getting sold so im out of the game for now.
@lIlDuDElIl Air fuel ratio , he runs rich accelerating (more gas less air) and it leans out (less gas more air) decelerating. Lean mixtures tend to burn hotter, so its better to run richer.
wow that's pretty quick man, i'm currently in the process of importing a lower milage ka24de into my 1990 s13 and i was thinking of going with the turbo too. Does it run pretty good with the turbo?
For those of you who don't know, most cars lean out when idling. Ideal AFR for most cars is 14.6:1 (correct me if i'm wrong). when tuning a car, a car may be set up for different Ideal AFRs. it is better to run rich than to lean out under WOT. people, get your facts straight. and to the ones talking about haters, I support you 110%.
ehem lambda=1 is 14.7:1 @ sea level. which means ideal afr is 14.7:1 that is where motors are most efficient. you prolly also it leaned out when he shifted because of the vacuum.
@saintluke87 I never said that is where it develops the most power. I said that is where it is most efficient. The most power would be made @ roughly 11.7 being as it is a boosted motor.
nice eco friendly ka24det what turbo you running .i currently have a sr20det t3t4 50 trim when i rebuild its getting sleeved and set up for e 85 looking for 600 to 700 whp .
I really dont see the need for anyone to post comments, I mean for real all anyone every does is bitch. WHO CARES.. how his car runs is not my problem. nor yours
god i swear to god, the youtube fucking dumbass idiot comments make me want to reach through the computer and strangle the ignorance out of you fucking noobs. If you dont actually know what yoru talking about, shut your god damn mouth.
you need a bigger fuel pump and better injectors u are running way to lean i think i saw 11.2, not sure if you know but if you dont want your pistons to shoot through your block u gotta run over 11 a/fr
you mean under an 11 afr. going into the 12's and 13's is way to lean for a boosted car. an 11.2 should be fine...i try to keep my afr's between 11.4-11.8 in boost.
I know, these Ricers noobs and there Del slows. I have E85 in my KAT, and it's fucking Nutzy. Plus all u idiots are throwing 93 octane pumpgas numbers, this is E85, Race fuel from a Pump, Get your shit straight, or dtfu

Lean at idle lmao. 14 is the ideal afr for idle what are you talking about
Krazymuffin90 8 months ago
running very lean @ idle?? I'd want that 16 down to a mid 14.
upn0rth1 10 months ago
@upn0rth1 there is nothing wrong with running lean at idle your not going to get detonation when your not under load
SuBN01z3RaT 10 months ago
@upn0rth1
My car idles at 17-18...there's no load under idle, saves gas.

@nism0z its not where it develops the most power,14.7 is only a target for when your say cruising on the highway.

@MexicanRudeboy9 i know right? my ka goes to 7 grand.

@Michaelation08 unless you have cam's you're just wasting gas reving that high ka power starts dropping off rite around 5800 -6000

@AquAcid but reving higher sets you up for higher rpms when you shift... so i think there is some reasoning to it.
codydog556 1 year ago
@MexicanRudeboy9. my xterra only goes to 6K and its a KA24DE i think its the year.

E85 is 85% Corn Alcohol with 15% gasoline mixed in to keep whinos from drinking it. E85 is MUCH higher octane than regular gas.

approx 102-105 octane depending were u get it

nope. lean = higher afr. richer = lower afr. Any AFR in the 11's for ka24det is pretty much gtg.

low #s rich high #s lean. this is a turbo car so you want to be in the 11s or 12.2-12.6 for a aggressive tune.
Also in Europe (someone from europe correct me if i'm wrong) E85 is a low octane gas with a small percent of methanol.
blue98jettavr6t 2 years ago
it is lower octane but still 85% corn alcohol, roughly 100 octane there i hear, im not from there so idk, but forums give me info from UK
