I really don't understand why many British programmes are being copied by the US, Shameless, The Office, Skins, Top Gear, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, Total Wipeout and many more that i cant think of. With a 5 times larger population and one of the most influential countries in the world, there lack of originality amazes me. Were it not for sit coms and crime shows, Americans wouldn't be producing anything.
