dude, the fj its way better, even when the ram have a bigger engine and more horsepower, thats more for towing that off-roading and with that long chasis makes it a little hard to tight spots and slopes. if you are more into the off road stuff get the fj...
motor trend also took into account its street manners and admit that the rubicon is the best offraod but its ride sucked so they gave the xterra the edge, for something that doesn't even matter to most offroaders

The FJs are real mountain goats. Better than a Jeep Wrangler IMHO. Most of the FJs in the group were stock. Stock FJs with the Active traction and real locker do fine unless you are doing big rock crawling, then you need a 3"+ lift.

yes, the driver aborted and had to be towed back up. But several stock FJs have made is up and down that rock over the years.

They're all 4 door, strictly speaking. The rear two doors are suicide doors with no exterior handles.

FJ Cruisers is the best off-road 4x4 out there. it takes you any where u want. The Hottest Imports 4x4 i ever seen. You need to get One Now..!!!

A stock FJ costs about as much as a Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited though. Personally I'd take the Rubi... but I wish it was made by Toyota :x
