They have contributed to Canada's growth as a nation, and represent a sizeable portion of the Canadian population. I personally am very proud of their accomplishments and hope they further contribute to not only Quebec, but also to the rest of our great land. Not divided by boundaries, culture or belief, we work together to improve this great land!

Because the US not only gives more per capita to charity domestically and internationally, there is not "greed" involved to reward people for their time, labor and skill.

This allowed the US to create wealth (mirrored in many nations that opened up to freedom) and thus were able to do things like replace Europe's military (allowing them to go socialist crazy) and buy things from less developed nations (creating wealth in those countries).

As for films and TV, I love your shows. Doctor Who in Hollywood was a bust, but in Wales it's done great. Oh and many of out actors are from Canada and the UK.
And some of the best films in the US are low budget.

Also that Brittish Columbia is cheaper to film TV shows (as are Australia, New Zealand and so on), so a lot of people you see in TV shows are extras from the places they shoot (Films are made worldwide).

Not true. You can buy property in a 100 year perptual trust with a bank. The Mexican's did take property in the 70's but not too many are concerned about that now. They cannot ask you to leave if you have proper residency documents. They like us down there, we bring the money. You just can't start a business or become a citizen, etc.
If you were to do it right... you would marry a girl down there with family connections to the local government (Perhaps the mayor's daughter?) You would set up your sons, and daughters financially... and take their profits to the United States where it would be far safer from government interaction and potential Peso devaluation.
Actually in Mexico you cannot naturalize. If you aren't born there you can't be a citizen. If you aren't a citizen you can't open a business, etc. They are very strict about immigration in Mexico. Officials are known for throwing people off the Southern trains to their death as they attempt to enter illegally.

2) Most immigrants back then came in the front door with permission
3) Those who came to the US came to be Americans, not to be a hyphenated-American or an expatriot of another nation.

1) you can't be uspet about people being greedy, then complain that you have a bad economy. Wanting a good economy is a form of greed.

Because the US not only gives more per capita to charity domestically and internationally, there is not "greed" involved to reward people for their time, labor and skill.

@shoelase17 As for what people think: the "socialist world" always hated that the US used freedom and charity in place of gov't control, especially from 1900 on. This allowed the US to create wealth (mirrored in many nations that opened up to freedom) and thus were able to do things like replace Europe's military (allowing them to go socialist crazy) and buy things from less developed nations (creating wealth in those countries).
But the truth is it's not greed that makes the US, its freedom

Its freedom has opened up opportunity for all the world to either grow (Hong Kong, India, the Easter European countries) or collapse from folley (Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ierland, USSR/Russia).
When asked we give to people and nations, both via government and via individuals. But we also grow our economy to support even those who dislike us, the opposite of greed).

Well, a way for you to get clean streets is to instill a sense of pride and ownership into your citizens.
As for films and TV, I love your shows. Doctor Who in Hollywood was a bust, but in Wales it's done great. Oh and many of out actors are from Canada and the UK.
And some of the best films in the US are low budget.
A nice place to live isn't greed, its pride and ability.

Also that Brittish Columbia is cheaper to film TV shows (as are Australia, New Zealand and so on), so a lot of people you see in TV shows are extras from the places they shoot (Films are made worldwide).
And for UK films, don't forget Stanley Kubrick's work.

Let's be real. America has a big heart, but no country can keep up the pace of immigration that the US is coming under. The census bureau has stated that white people will be a minority by 2050. Guess who will take their place. If you guessed asian, which includes latinos you would be right. Not really. My reason only pertains to human beings as they are the most conscious beings in this world with a mind that greatly differs from any animal (if you want to I can elucidate this). Currently this is not the case since nations grant their people people rights that differ from ER and furthermore infringe other people’s ER.

So Mexicans wouldn’t be “flooding” the USA since by that time (all this would of course be achieved gradually and not in a revolution) there would be only a small difference in living standards and so on. I think that this is a desirable goal and while it might seem utopic now I am sure that we are able of achieving this.
Oh and please note that I am not talking about one huge state like what all those NWO conspiracy theorists are talking about but rather an actual commonwealth.

I don't think that'll happen. Besides, ironically, Mexico has very strict illegal immigration laws. Even if you do legally immigrate to Mexico and become a citizen that can throw you out when ever they want. Since your not truly a Mexican citizen.

Not true. You can buy property in a 100 year perptual trust with a bank. The Mexican's did take property in the 70's but not too many are concerned about that now. They cannot ask you to leave if you have proper residency documents. They like us down there, we bring the money. You just can't start a business or become a citizen, etc.

If you were to do it right... you would marry a girl down there with family connections to the local government (Perhaps the mayor's daughter?) You would set up your sons, and daughters financially... and take their profits to the United States where it would be far safer from government interaction and potential Peso devaluation.

Actually in Mexico you cannot naturalize. If you aren't born there you can't be a citizen. If you aren't a citizen you can't open a business, etc. They are very strict about immigration in Mexico. Officials are known for throwing people off the Southern trains to their death as they attempt to enter illegally.

For instance American Heritage® Dictionary say that the first meaning of America is The United States of America. Also, those of the United States are correctly called Americans not United Stateins.

That was not the context, the context is that Maria and Jose are very popular names among Hispanics specially since we have a Catholic heritage, and since most of the illegals come from Latin-America, therefore the use of those names.
Like I said before, I oppose illegal immigration (specially gang criminal like the ms13 or mara salvatrucha committing many crimes in our Hispanic communities), but we should be careful about the context and the wording we use to portray a political position.
