Hey man, playing in ACT/NSW any time soon? Any chance of letting us in on the chords and tuning of your uke? I've only been playing 6 months so can't figure it out myself yet. Anyway love your songs dude.
what kind of uke is that? i`ve got a toy-soprano one on which i started, but it`s a crap on a long run >_< still wondering whether to get concert, tenor, or better soprano uke. witch one would you suggest?
@kekeebur Hi mate, maybe consider a uke that suits your voice, just an idea. Really depends on what type of personality you would like to project, comical, classical, virtuoso, if you know what I mean. I play Kamaka but I'm sure there are many great ukes to choose from. Even those Flukes sound pretty good, just audition a few.
hey mike, is your music on amazon? this song is great want to buy it! i searched for Daking fet ii, and it led me to your videos, did you use that compressor on this song?, i have done tons of research and have decided on that comp, i currently have the bae1073 and some great mics and the sound is incredible..how do you like the Daking??
I usually use the Daking on vocals while tracking but on pretty low settings, it certainly adds depth, thickness and presence, I love it! Great choice, best value comp out there!
i would love a downloadable version to this song, that and tabs to it so i can try playing it myself, im an aspiring ukulele player and im taken away by this song. its is phenomenal!
just picked up a uke to try to see what i could do with it. any sources (or tips for that matter!) about practicing, different tunings, string info, online resources etc? thanks!
@garythecactus There is no one stop shop but I would start by learning a few standard tunes first, some simple covers. Learn some strumming techniques and the rest will follow. One step at a time, enjoy!
Just a single mic on vox and uke seems to get a pretty natural sound. All efforts I've made with two mics are riddled with phase issues, I'll probably stick to this format for a while, if it works heh?
such amazing songs, Mike, became your fan <3
