Why does the screen flash each time the page changes?

I bought a Cybook Gen3 from Booken.
In less than a week the display stopped working. The unit had not had been dropped, hit, or damaged in any way.
Booken declined to repair or replace the unit under warranty stating, "the warranty does not cover broken parts".
They offered a repair for 100 Euros plus shipping. I suspect this is about their cost for a new unit.
The product seems good, but reliability seems to be an issue. The company ethics also seems to be a major problem.

I got email from Bookeen company:
The Cybook can not display Text files in Chinese but it can display Chinese text in Mobipocket format.
To do so you need :
1) to convert your HTML file (declared as utf8) to Mobipocket using Mobipocket Reader
2) to install Chinese TTF font on the Cybook (Simsun.ttf for example)
3) to transfer your Mobipocket file to the Cybook

都eink很清楚，也都一样。 there all clear and there all the same.
我买这个。。。还是买jinke的。。。不能决定。。。
