  • i hate this small balls ;s

  • I always felt sorry for Ronnie O'sullivan. Although obviously a very talented player, just not interesting enough and lacked charisma - certainly in the wake of Higgins and white - no one could replace these entertainers who always wore their hearts on their sleeve. O'Sullivan sometimes does not seem to be wanting to play

  • @keithbcook Couldn't have said it better myself

  • ท่าสอยคิวโคตรเท่

  • ท่าสอยคิวโคตรเท่

  • Imagine a match between Alex and Ronnie, hell up!

  • WOTTA LEGEND....

  • It's spelled 'marvellous' ffs. At least spell the title of the video right.

  • @dowling1981 FUCKIN HELL SON JUS WATCH SUM VINTAGE HIGGINS N UR MOANIN ABOUT A SPELLING MISTAKE?!! FUCKIN DO ONE SON, FFS.....

    PISTOL

  • R.I.P Alex

  • RIP Alex

  • rip alex

  • rip alex :(

  • its why most naturally gifted people lose the plot. like alex, ronnie, john lennon, gazza. maradona ,,jimmy hendrix, george best, you could go on all day with these superstars.

  • Nevermind who was the greatest player, who was the greatest entertainer?, Higgins by a mile, snooker is full of players these days knocking in century breaks but its dieing on its knees because the players are so dull.

  • @danielhewson it's a sport, all that matters is being the best. if you want entertainment you can hire a bunch of cheap clowns to fool around on a snooker table

  • @Calinn86 HA YOUR THICK AS FUCK, SPORT IS ENTERTAINMENT!!

  • u can't say ronnie isnt a genius. if him and alex played each other both at the top of thier game then ronnie would win quite easily

every snooker pundit and player agrees that o'sullivan is the greatest ever talent the game has ever had.

although alex higgins is a legend and was so entertaining to watch

  • o sullivan greatest talent , Hendry along with myself the greatest player by far

  • not so , when the challenger plays someone known to be better he automatiaclly becomes a better player

higgins was as good as he had to be at the time , there would have been times that each player won though osullivan would have had a better record maybe 10 to higgins 5 or 6

  • Hmmm OK he lost in a tight game..its cool but you cant deny he is a genius....just funny that you are dissin him here but you uploaded a clip of him on your channel....I guess you do admire him lol...take it easy dude

  • well people that know the game more than you call him a genius...dude just live with it OK...he is world number one and is winning a tournament as we speak

  • Alex wanted to entertain the crowd and win, Davis and Hendry just wanted to win. Alex should have beaten Thorburn in the 1980 final but started to play to the gallery when he was 6 frames up. You also have to consider that until Jimmy came on the scene, most of the players played at glacial speeds. That most have been torture for Alex in the 70s.

Alex was naturally gifted but didn't put the same kind of practice in as Davis, or any of the modern greats.

  • It's really hard to say who's the most naturally gifted player ever. Ronnie certainly is a better player than Alex was but he has a good technique. Imagine Alex Higgins with a good technique a temperament like Hendry or Davis...he could have been the best ever.

  • Yeah i agree,

Have you seen Alex's clearance break of 69 in this very same match against Jimmy White, it was just genius, i dont think anyone could have done that considering the pressure..

  • @international2009 there's lots of players who could have cleared up easily there. alex just made the easy apear difficult because of amateurish positional play.

  • @MusicAnythingBut would you care to back up your well thought out and elloquent reply with any facts whatsoever? Or are you just pissed off because I spoke the truth? Alex's positional play was at best average, and the fact that he only had around 40 career centuries proves that.

  • @thesnookerplanet

Have you ever heard of Luca Brecel...search him on Youtube you will be astonished!

  • @thesnookerplanet - O'Sullivan is actually a master of orthodoxy, a facile virtuoso, who apparently 'doesn't need snooker'. Alex was the inspirational genius of the unorthodox who lived and breathed for the game he lit up so brightly when at his best. Making comparisons about who is 'the better player', however much fun, is invidious and ultimately pointless.

  • @thesnookerplanet and if grandma had wings her pussy would be flying

  • @thesnookerplanet Why this debate about who is the "most naturally gifted" player? Your saying some of them are good "unnaturally"?

  • @thesnookerplanet And he would have been as boring as them as well! Hoorah to personality!
