  • Cool guitar ,sounds like shit

  • that guitar is fuckin beautiful

  • 1/5 :S

  • Cool guitar!

  • poor performance ????? no great sound great playing.

  • badass guitar

  • Nice guitar, a good technique, but you could use a metronome...! Anyway, keep rockin'!

  • Great playing! Just slow it down a tad so we can get a better idea of the tune!

  • I think everyone thought it was susie q (CCR) at first. in all honesty though you nailed brians tone, you just lack technique. not insulting your playing at all, just pointing out that a players "tone" has as much to do w/technique and style as it does amps, guitars and p-ups. thats the beauty of truly original music, it's "original" because it can never truly be duplicated.

  • I wish I could perform that "poorly." Great job and a nice Gretsch.

  • I thought it was CCR at first

  • Yeah!

  • Yes, Intro of Suzie Q ;)

  • dale hawkins you mean ;-)

good playing just work on cleaning it up a bit =]

  • Good playing. Keep it up!

  • Good job !!

  • great guitar, great sound, great licks = GENIUS

  • Dude, you rock!

  • LearnGuitarToday.yolasite(DOT)com

  • dude, cool guitar, what´s the function for the little button on the bottom of the guitar?

  • probably the volume controls

  • probably volume knob

  • pick up selector

  • Nice Suzie Q intro. I like your "noodling" on the guitar. Nice guitar.

  • I thought the playing was pretty good man. Nice guitar.

  • waz that susie q in the intro

  • really fukn kool man and at least u can play sum notes cuz i cant play foshizzles!!!

  • duuuude I want your guitar soo fucking bad! You lucky basterd!

  • Brian's, I think is an "Annie" ( anniversary model.. look for the square plaque on the head stock 100th maybe? Mine is a 125th) Specially pin striped. A true hot rod.. look for the hole where the Tone switch used to be...Modded for rock!! ( Pick ups..Maybe SuperTrons..??) this guitar here has TV jones pick ups..and looks like a Hot rod.. ( one knob and one pickup selector..) Nicely done up.. looks like his.

  • That sounds an awful lot like Susie-Q at the beginning.

  • ya, almost exactly

  • it's alright but seriously cut down on the twang....

  • AWESOME!!!!!!

  • kapibaradonさん、どうもありがとう!!

  • I HAVE to have that guitar! did it come pinstriped?

  • Was in Tokyo in 2001 and saw this guitar for sale in a shop. They had given it the same paint job as the Setzer model that he was using around then, with the 68 comback special album. Think that his has either been retired or repainted. As by the time the tour finished a lot of the paint had come off it. But I'm sure this is the one that was in the shop in Tokyo? Stray mouse is that right?

  • Nice guitar for a good guitar player! i love your touch on that costumized gun!

Marco, singer at the Lucky duckies band. one of these days you must play with us!

  • Verry nice Gretsch, I would would be happy if my performance was that poor. lol

    Setzer is the Dogs B******s

  • that is a cool guitar

  • must have had all his tattoos removed too!

  • R u missing a finger?

  • it looks like

    but not

  • nice guitar dude...

  • yo his right hand is on the camera ass hole the video is about picking

  • noisy and messy. very undefined a lot of times.

    great guitar and great sound.

  • Once again...wheres the fuckin right hand?

  • man

please tell me how you got your guitar to look just like Brian Setzer's

and is that a 59 or 62 Bassman that your playing through.

  • it looks like The Gretsch G5120 Electromatic

  • where did u buy the guitar?

  • i think its custom

  • I think the dude is a decent guitarist and yes, Suzie Q in the beginning, and something akin to Mystery Train, later. I would like to see his LEFT hand....~~??

Czech Gretsch?? I dunno, doubt it but you can check with WarpDrive-Cream City Music, in Brookfield, Wisconsin.. he is the largest Gretsch dealer in the world. Great Vintage stuff, too and very nice and fair minded guy, I have bought and sold there, and ALWAYS came away with great values.

  • are those Tv jones classic pickups? great sound!

  • That guitar is beautiful.

  • No, this cat is cool!

Why all the talk about Yingie Marmelstein?

Love the graphics on your Gretczh (yes, I believe that is the ultra-rare Czech model)!

    Rock on,

    Sincerely,

    The Legendary Danny O'Doul

  • Who ?

  • Gretsches were ever made in Czech Republic??

  • Hey, you wrote somethin' about Mystery train but the beginning is completely SUSIE Q-like, just for the case that you didn't even know it. By the way - nice sound!

  • What kind of amp is that?

  • wowaweea that is amazing :Dxxx

  • thanx!!

  • Sweet fucking guitar!!! /is that a Brian Setzer signature or something?

  • FUCK YNGWIE MALMSTIEN ! ! !

  • y would u say that? he is one of the fastest guitar players alive

  • look up shawn lane

  • thts just one dude that is probably faster. but i bet whoever is commenting on youtube is not faster than yngwie and would lose in a duel

  • Being fast doesnt mean shit. Its not the quantity of notes you play. Its the quality of the notes.

  • you can still play fast and have emotion when u play. buckethead does it the best. yngwie is still skilled at wat he duz

  • the geezer is a prick, setzer is better any day

  • n i dont meen this guy, hes quite good and i liek his guitar, i mean ywingwee or whatever the fuck

  • Would you PLEASE go back to school and learn how to spell....you are embarassing to us humans with an IQ above 42?

  • i dont get why your chatting shit to me, im trying to say ywingwee or whatever the fuck is shit compared to setzer and this guy is good, and you apparently disagree eventhough your apparently rockabilly? to me your jus a stupid yank who pretends he plays, do one x

  • You would know. Sounds like you are an authority on the topic. Did you get that from yo gay Mama?

  • prick

  • its a matter of personal preference. speed is annoying to me.

rockabilly is the style of guitar i like. and you like something else. and so on and so forth.

  • nice dude, i cant fingerpick to save my life. im about halfway into the rockabilly thing, but coming from the blues its pretty tough. nice lick though.

  • beautifull guitar

  • I wasn't talking about your comment.... but about the video...

But the gear seems to sound great :P I suppose...

  • Thanks!

  • For all the bashers out there get a life! He never said he was good... Read the description. Besides, it's way better than the majority of us out there can do! So play on straymouse!!!

  • How much was it to get it striped

  • but I bet his english is better then yours!

  • ur just jelous cuz u don't have it. ... me neither :D

  • Your guitar look so cool and your are a good guitar player.

Stray Cats' song are dificult to play.

  • You're a good guitar player and beautiful guitar. But I prefer more relaxed blues instead of this hard rough style.

  • Fair enough, but he's not playing blues (even though it may be 12 bar). Rockabilly is it's own style. It's supposed to be rough. He's done this very well. Guitar is copy of Brian Setzer.

  • great job, sweet guitar too!

  • how did u get that guitar?

  • beautiful guitar, your guitar licks are really

    very good.keep rockin.later bro........Patrick

  • You need much more lessons to play well.

Really, it's very very bad. You are doing just....something.

  • Please set your good example to us.

  • your typeing and english skills are very very bad also you need way more lessons so stay off that crack pipe and hit the books panocha face

  • japanese top rockabilly guitar man!!!

  • Thank you very much!!

But I think you are better than me.

    ありがとうございます!!

    でも僕より hiro3100 さんの方がお上手だと思いますよ。

  • What a beautiful guitar. I like your videos. I'm going to show them to my son so he can learn from them.

  • Thanks for the comment. I am glad if my video is for your son.

  • Its not bad, though for the style, try muting some of the notes after played. The problem listening to it I thought was that the notes continual play seemed a little chaotic when playing faster parts.

    Other than that, nice :)

  • Great!!!

Please can somebody tell me the

    first song name and artist?

    Thanks

  • "Suzie Q" - Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • Wonderful! I wish I could play my guitar like this. I.N.V.U.!

  • sweet guitar!!

  • wow brilliant guitar. Not very familiar with Rockabilly I'm ashamed to admit that's some nice phrasing right there too.

  • Sweet guitar m8 and nice playing

  • what guitar is it?

  • Very, very nice

  • Wow. Real F holes! A little twangy for my taste, but, since I got dissed for using a distortion on my '64 6122, I guess I can't bitch much.

  • Sounded more like susie q the way you came into it. Nice playing.

  • wow, this is great playing. i wish i could play a guitar that good

  • hey, is that an electromatic? I was planning on getting one in about a month.

  • no its not, the guitar is actually a 6120 Hot Rod with custom pin striping

  • love ur guitar some sick looking graphics

  • Wehey! Susie Q intro :D Great playing, like your style, keep it up!

  • I totally agree.

  • Doesn't need any reverb or crunch, it's rockabilly.

  • very good

  • Listen to petegorilla (in the list on the right).

    Thát's what i call playing.

  • melkiemelkie - I think he sounds good. Maybe a bit much on the reverb, but so what? Can you play better? You have no vids posted. Anyone can be a critic, it takes chops to play a guitar...

  • No i cannot play better. I play very bad.

That's why i do not post any vid of myself.

  • So... You'd have to be better than (Ex.) Joe Bonamassa, to be able to tell if the man can play well?

  • fantastic!

  • Nice guitar... and you play really good! I watched all your videos... and you can really do a rockabilly! I thouroughlly enjouyed the "Original short music" with the white gretsch... I am planning to buy a 5120 Electromatic myself... so yeah Gretsch is awsome ;)

  • The first song soounds like Suzy Q (Dale Hawkins)

  • that is a beautiful guitar

  • Hey dude how did u get that guitar

  • Gretsch guitar are made in Japan except for few models but thisone must be a Setz' one.

  • Treble attack!

  • the 1.49 part was just mad.

    I wanna learn.

    Very good.

  • finger picking is amazing nice work useing brians technique of tucking the pick in the index finger and useing the other three fingers for picking nice work

  • very nice,

    what are you playing through?

  • Thanks, I played through TS9, Roland RE-301, and 59Bassman for this vid.

  • i have a 1956 6120 owned by hank cochran any idea of its worth? i dont want to get ripped off. i have been offered 9k from a dealer.

  • practice abunch ;) you're almost there, just need some more clarity - you prob just weren't used to your new guitar yet - sounded nice toward the middle of the end :)

  • I have a 59' Gretsch Double Anniversary(not a reissue) that has TV Jones Filtertrons modded where the halotrons were. There is only one way to get this sound, and it's a gas to play one. Save your pennies. A new one is really nice as well, they really play very well.

  • Great playing, but I wish I could see his left hand.

  • isn't that susie q at the start?

  • Sometimes you just can't beat a Gretsch!

  • You are a real cool mouse!

And that guitar... So cool.. So look-a-like.

And you know how to play the baby.

  • Thanx doccie, you know how to play guitar, too. I like your playing, singing, and videos. Keep up great work!

  • Wow That's A Nice Guitar

  • Wow how much was that guitar? cool playin!

  • how much was the guitar?

  • Wow how much was that guitar cool playin!

  • Cool! How many times have you watched the Hot

    Licks video? ;-)

  • Thanks! I was waiting for the question. 6120 times if my memory is right. How about u?

  • looks like the guitar that Brian played on the 68 Comeback Special tour

  • you got good skills. dont be modest cause you can play. and i love the looks on the guitar.

  • Great Susie Q intro!

  • I love that guitar!

  • nice guitar bro

  • damn, i need better gear

  • wasn't it ccr?

  • Yeah, I think so.

  • Originally by Dale Hawkins, a classic rockabilly 45 from around '58, redone by CCR ten years later or so around 1969.

  • Great!!!

  • wow!

  • that was rather smooth love the wammy

  • wooooooow your guitar is awesome, your skills also

  • i could listen to you for hours!

    rockabilly all night long

  • Fab guitar playing but a pitty you can't see what your left hand is doing-can't really learn anything but maybe you aint teachin!

  • holy shit. great playing man! love rockabilly - and someday i will play as good :-)

  • you know i heard that on a buddy holly song too...the opening that is.

  • what paint did you use for the pinstripes?

  • It's "1 SHOT".

I think you can get them through internet.

  • did you paint it yourself?

  • No, some Japanese specialist did that. Mooneyes Signs & Pinstriping Studio of Japan did that. I think some hot rod custom car shops can do such pinstripes in United States.

  • great guitar playing

  • You say it's a sloppy performance, but if I could play as well as you just were, I'd be a happy man. Great job. And fantastic guitar.
