  • 5:16 thats what she said

  • saints row 3

  • Excellent ! Thank you !

  • Did you take the speaker out of the amp, or did you get a small speaker to go in the plunger?

  • THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH I MADE ONE OF THESE PLAYED DAFT PUNKS AROUND THE WORLD WITH IT AND I SOUNDED LIKE DAFT PUNK!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!I!II!!II!!I!I!II!II!

  • ...let me get this straight...all the sounds are coming out of the tube and out of your mouth?! that is freaking awesome

  • This kid looks like the kid from malcone in the middle

  • you should put the speaker back in the amp and make a hole in the amp to put the tube through, then put it in a plastic tupperware box.

  • cool, is that a bc rich?

  • WTF???

  • could i plug this into a synth instead of guitar?

  • @lilskitcom yes

  • @lilskitcom Sure you can, maybe you have to be careful with volume of the synth. Starting with the volume all the way down and turning it up gently as long as you play to test it, you gonna be just fine.

  • Oy Vey............Is this what I spent my son's education on? Just kidding Mazal Tov on your invention

  • @lelandlapine lmao are u his mom

  • LOL turn on google's CC on 6:18

  • so.....the mouth shapes teh sound ....where does the small speaker hookup to? a small amp im assuming? so ya must need an additional amp fo rthe guitar,Im assuming .....If thats the case, then the guitar wouldnt be talking at all,it would just be the mouth trying to mimic the notes on the guitar, Im assuming?

  • Yeh.......But if your guitar cord is running to the Tiny amp in teh box..........then how is anyone gonna be able to hear you with drums & the rest of teh band playing? they will be waaay louder than you & The tiny itsy bitsy marshall. correct? unless i missed something here. Anyone?

  • @97warlock The sounds you make with you mouth need to be made into a microphone. The pros run the tube up their mic stands.

  • Dude i didnt understand the part when you put the wires :S im no professional so i dont whant to fuck up my amp, can you please do a video of how is it connected or explain it to me? :b

  • @BazzimusPrime disconnect the wires from the internal speaker and solder them to the external speaker you've made

  • Or you can just download a software on your computer or smart phone and use it.

  • @themazeful not authentic. And if you're playing live, you really wanna be talking into your phone? Probably not. And that is digital. Meaning, its bound to make error. This is pure physics of moving energy waves. 100% natural and sounds 200% better

  • im impressed, great stuff, really. thanks

  • I lost count how many times you said "actually"... you should really try to curb that. It's annoying.

  • Hey, so basically, you need to run the signal from the amp right through the plunger, am I correct? Why not to connect the speaker in the plunger to the headphone output of the amp? In this case you won't need to break into your amp's insides and it will make it more portable(and good-looking =)) ) without shoe-box. AND you can disconnect it anytime you want

  • I m a nurse, and he looks like being intubated!

  • 4:12 is what he has

  • Thanks Bro, I have wanted oneof these for a while, now i can make if for free

  • 1:34 LOL!!!

  • i hate his t-shirt

  • Or.....just buy a talk box ;) They're 50 bucks on ebay

  • @mdibound More like: 97.

  • Sweet Emotion.

  • that is great i am going to try it :)

  • Nice. Genius. I'm thinking of putting the amp components inside the plunger. Nice and neat. Knobs sticking out the sides.

  • 1:35 looks like hes takin a shit

  • SWEET Vid Levinator... by the way what kind of shirt are you wearing

  • dude that was awesome i'm definitely going to try that thanks!!!

  • Dude... thats soo nice of you. Thanks im for sure doing this when I get home. I used to think they were just a pedal. haha

  • do talk boxs work with bass guitars?

  • @crossan24 dude... they'll work with anything that makes noise. Have you ever put headphones in your mouth and manipulated the sounds?

  • Great Video man!!! I'll definitely try that! It's pretty awesome!

  • P.S Do you have to make the end of the tube touch the magnet on the back of the speaker below the top in side of the plunger, what sockets would I use on the keyboard & the same with the amp? Cheers from Rich

  • Sounds & looks BRILLIANT I'd LOVE one of them for to put through my keyboards as I do Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, other covers as well as bits of my own stuff but music is a hobby. Why don't you drill a small hole just where the wires are pertruding out of then fit the wires into the drilled part then you can totally secure the lid back on to the back of the amp unit? Cheers from Rich

  • its zapp and roger. lol! not roger and zapp. cool video tho. im makin one right now

  • this dude needs a job

  • @thescrounger1 forget u bro, this guys awesome

  • You are so cute!!! lol just had to say that

  • lol 1:33, funny face

  • It may seem intimidating, but you could easily build your own amplifier with a chip and a speaker. About $5 versus $40, and much smaller on top of that.

  • Very Inventive!

  • That's a neat, creative solution. I don't think it's cost-efficient, seeing as for that same price one can assemble a full-scale, professional grade box with a real horn driver (or, for a bit more, buy a used factory made unit) but it's still always cool to see people finding creative solutions for stuff.

  • Are there any side effects to the sound if u don't solder the wires and attach them?

  • Just made one, thanks for the video.

  • danelectro makes a amp for 20 bucks

  • Ball chinalitis

  • You need air movement behind the speaker, the insulation prevents it from working as well as it should. You need a sound proofed bigger box behind the speaker.

  • dude please answer me becuase if i have the tools i really wanna get started on making my own becuase i saw frampton last night and he left everyone absolutly speachless. i have a danelectro honeytone mini portable amp. do those do the job?

  • wooow super awesome

  • are you Fred Savage?

  • @frankadamo 3:08 thats also what she said

  • pmyplunger finally came in handy :D

  • I tried making one by using the horn driver from an old speaker(tested and working). I'm having trouble redirecting the sound through the tube on my setup..is the plunger shape essential for the housing, or will any other container that can contain the speaker work as well? will normal household sponges work as well as foam for the insulation? (my test with some styrofoam had bad results) also, i'm wondering about the length of your tube and how it will affect the volume.

  • Fantastic. I hope I can make a talkbox like that.

  • inspired me to build one thank you for this. posted my video response. let the douchbags talk.

  • @slydog00a1 Oh and mine came in @ $38 bucks ;)

  • sick dude. just made one today cant believe ppl bitched bout it.daft cunts:P great job man

  • dope..... man..... shit!

  • hey thanks,, i think ive fig out the way im going to do it,, im just going to purchase a horn driver an do the pvc attachments then the tubing,, clip wires on then clip to my sons larger amp.

  • ok im trying to figure this out, want to make one for my son. he has a big amp that he hooks his guitar up to,, sooooo how do i do it,, with the plunger an all that,, then what do i need to hook into his amp?? im lost on that part

  • @777irishgirl This isn't something you can hook up to an amp. The guitar's sound is amplified by the mini Marshall amp. You can amplify the sound coming out of his mouth using a microphone (possibly connected to his bigger amp). That's how I do it. You can run the tube up the microphone stand as well to make things easier... that's how the pros do it.

  • @777irishgirl You'll really be using TWO amps: 1 small; 1 big. Run your guitar to the small one. You need a tiny output speaker, so use an inexpensive amp -- the Marshall MS-2 is a great choice. The sound from that cheap amp speaker is guided up the tube and into your mouth. Your mouth reshapes the sound as you sing. You can sing to the camera like levinator did, or sing into a microphone which is plugged into your son's big amp. The guitar never gets plugged into the big amp directly.

  • what a dickhead

  • Awesome, I was thinking about saving up for a talkbox (i'm 12) but now i can get one for 50 to 60 dollars! The talkbox that i want online is like $250. I'm still gonna get one because you cant play a song like livin on a prayer with that because you have to play normal guitar too. Well i guess you could just run it up the microphone and not use your talkbox so it the guitar sound will go through the tube into the mic. Anyways great Video!

  • Dude, that is awesome and as for people griping about the tutorial. It's almost self explanatory after you point out the speaker in the sealed off plunger with a hose out the other end. Thanks!

  • what type of wire ??

  • @eglybagelface any wire, just not too thick, i'm 12 and i knew that

  • Great video and great Talkbox, I'll make my own!

  • 5:15 thats what she said :D hahaha

  • i like the way he is so happy talking! :D

  • ha bum chin

  • put the back back on and screw the screws in :)))) great

  • Heil makes one...or so I hear ;)

  • @Levinator25 Make a video of you saying "Old School Hollywood" with this thing. :D

  • DANGIT YOU LEFTY

  • so you can take the other end of the tubing and tape it to a mic to amplify it. right?

  • hey wasup, i was wondering if i could use a big, cheap plastic bowl to fit a bigger amp then a plunger, would that work?

  • so your saying that tube speaker marshall foam portable?

  • IF YOU PEOPLE ARE THAT DAMN RETARTED AND YOU NEED HIM TO OPEN UP HIS AMP TO SHOW YOU MORONS ON HOW TO TIE 2 WIRES TOGETHER AND HOW TO PUT CARDBOARD IN THE PLUNGER' THAN I MUST SAY YOU ARE REALLY FUCKING STUPID. ITS NOT YOUR FAULT THAT YOUR MOMMY MADE YOU RIDE THE LIITLE YELLOW BUS TO SCHOOL OR IS IT.

  • you forgot to say tube.

  • budweiser?

  • Comment removed

  • he's wicked hot lol

  • that's not a marshall, it's a llahsram

  • @epihaze Haha I like this comment

  • @epihaze yes its a marshall

kinda says it on the front

  • yo so u need only one speaker from the amp connected with the plunger on it?

cause im tryin to figure out how u can hear it if the speaker sound is blocked off except for the tubing???

  • do you feel like i do

  • Lefty, good advice

  • Very nice but as a tutorial it's not so good. It would have been much better, if you showed the foam, speaker, wires in the plunge and how you put them all together, instead of showing the finished work, which, for obvious reasons, doesn't tell us much about how the content looks like. Despite my criticism, I like the idea very much. And the mini-amp looks so cute. :D

  • @rbaleksandar You have a good point, though at the time I didn't feel like opening everything up. Plus I think the project is simple enough where I don't need to show most of that stuff. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

  • @Levinator25 It's simple for me too. But there are plenty of people out there who might not think so. :D

  • @LoganFuckingOtremba Yep that will work

  • Dude..AWESOME!!!...Im making one right now.

  • couldnt you just take the speaker out of the amp and use that?

  • anyone notice the video is mirror reversed (sry for my bad english, don't know exactly how to say it :))

  • Comment removed

  • Ur creepy as fuck

  • I had an almsot broken Marshall MS-2 ( Some retarded scrambled my wires and I plugged my guitar and it fell to the ground). Then, I wanted to make a talkbox, so I'm going to use it to make this.

    Thank you, @Levinator25

  • lol

  • instead of using the mini amp can u use a full sized speaker?

  • how to do that?????

  • "Just shove it in there." xD Haha. Ahhh... I am so immature. ^_^

  • I got the Jim Dunlop talk box and I have a 35 watt crate tha I hooked up to it to my PA, and when I start playing, I blew the ap up. I got it fixed but, the talk box has been sitting in my room for 2 and 1/2 years and I need help on how to use and setup a talk box. I am arfaid to plug it up to my 100 watt Marshall and then blow that up!

  • thanks :) ur really smart!

  • Wait... So it is a box, inside a box? A double talk box?

  • is your name levi?

  • so the speaker in the plunger is actually where the sound is coming from?

  • @egates09 Yep, that's how it works

  • Nice homie

  • nice job dude. when im bored ill play music on my cell phone and have the speaker part in front of my mouth and it acts like a wah pedal. i guess same concept with talk box

  • swwwweeeett.. now i have something to do when my insomnia kicks in

  • Gonna try that! Question, if I keep the small Marshall on the clean channel and hook the mic that goes below the talkbox tubing to my bigger amp on the distortion channel, you think it would be clear?

  • @Galgofrit and another one is, any recommended tubing length and radius?

  • very nice! thanks realy, ive just made my own, its not as good, but used some headphones, and the flunger did it, had some trouble with the isolation, but i will get through with it

    you rule! thanks!

  • Do you hook it up to a regular amp/PA after it's made? If so, how?

  • @spcmn77 It would be fine, just not quite as small haha

  • thanks man!! i'm doing this for shure! but i'm going to use one of those genius mini speakers that cost about 10 bucks intead of the mini amp, thanks again for the video!!!

  • So I have this little portable amp that im going to use, and im going to take my microphone and plug it into my actual guitar amp to make it even louder :D thanks for this tut bro :D

  • Why take the speaker out of the amp casing? Why not just insulate the casing and put the plunger+tube over it?

  • Great idea. But if you said the word "actually" one more time I was going to actually turn off the video.

  • UNique idea, I think I may make one from an old portable guitar amp I have, thanks for posting this.

  • dude what's inside the plunger again??

  • @arvalera23 cardboard...insulation...cardboard...and more insulation.... sounds simple but gets kinda tricky...

  • very nice..man..

  • 5:16 That's what she said. ;)

  • @corwin11412 hahah nice!!!!!!!!

  • i found a reallly nice pocket amp for $15, its also really good. thanks for this it inspired me

  • I just made one for free, luckily i had everything in home :D

    thankyou maaaaaaaaan!, great job.

  • i just made one for only 23 bucks its awsome thanks for posting

  • Nice Frat Boy T-Shirt.

  • get the danelectro mini amp 20 bux

  • Hey lefty :) good video

    thanks

  • tht is way too tight, im bout to build my own

  • ya know for like another 5 buck or so you could put a switch in to swap between speakers and set it up to where you could use it as mini amp or flip a switch and use it as a talk box, and also put another sound jack in the side and use an alternate speaker in the plunger. ill doodle up some schematics and post a link to show you what i mean. yes they will be ghetto schematics. Or after looking at my friends just put a male headphone connector on the speaker and plug it in the headphone output

  • Comment removed

  • do you actually talk into it or just move your mouth parts

  • you´re cool for showing us=)

  • I need help with my box...please ask me ...Thx

  • Why bother?? Just buy a wah pedal...

  • @1pozz1 Its to TOTALLY different sounds! You should try a talkbox, it sounds great! Very different to a wah pedal. I was like you once, thought i didn't need it, because the wah pedal sound like it, but i ordered it! It was such a blast!

  • for 50 bucks you can make a decent real talkbox tho a good horn driver costs that much.

better off spendin the money on the horn driver and u can find old amps for like 10 bux at garage sales.

  • @Blu3ManiC Very true, though I found this way to be the easiest. I actually started my project with a horn driver but didn't have an amp practical enough to call it "portable". This little amp has it all plus its battery powered.

  • @Levinator25

Nice work man! I made one like 15 years ago, I used a small speaker rated at 30 amps so I could go guitar amp into it., and used the top half of a 2 litter bottle. Shape is Just like your plunger. I silicone glued it to the speaker and wham-o. tube in the hole of the bottle and talkboxing away. It think I did it for 20 bucks back then.

  • @billm90 Nice! I bet it worked great, the 2 liter bottle shape is perfect.

  • this guy looks like Seth Rogen

  • "just shove it in!"

    thats what shee said

  • Hey dude! Your talkbox is awesome!! But I'd like to have and idea about how loud is the sound that comes from your mouth.. It doesn't sounds as loud as when you speak, am I right..? Have you tried it with a microphone in a gig with a band or something like that..? Thanks for answer! =)

  • @Fourchette22 thats what i was wondering about too. you cant actually amplify the sound can you? :)

  • I love your Llahsram mini amp.

  • I love your Llahsram mini amp.

  • thanks dude! i picked up the same marshall amp today, but i didnt replace the wires instead i cut my plunger down to a perfect fit to the speaker and it didnt need any extra wire space!

  • @ Levinator25 You can get slightly more volume if you cut the tubing at an angle, on the tip.... also fits better in the back of you jaw...

  • Awww, that's mean :'D

  • nice job, and man, you're left-handed! :D

nice to meet yet another one ^^

  • @SatoAV Hey sorry I'm actually not left handed...the computer flips the image when recording from an iSight.

  • @Levinator25 hahaah ya jamoche!!!!

  • what did you use to close the plunger?

  • @idb57 I used some foam insulation and cardboard which I cut into various circle sizes and just layered it. Foam, cardboard, foam, cardboard etc...

  • Nice... I want one!

  • i hate when people confuse this with autotune. its my true pet peave

  • i want one ;p

  • a plunger what you have to poop or unclog a toilet

  • sup faggot

  • Do you face the speaker towards the little hole in the plunger?

  • @aLilBitOEverything Yes you must. All the sound must travel through the tube

  • you do the best job explaining all this.

  • last week i wanted to make a potato cannon, this week i want to make a talkbox

    damnit youtube
