@BlackMinican26 Yeah, it IS beautiful. If you go, will you visit Samana? My son is getting his passport renewed and planning on going there with his cousin (who was born there, but now lives here in Los Angeles) in July or August.

ancestors came from the United States 182 years ago, twenty years before the founding of the Dominican Republic in 1844; they were among over 6,000 freed African American slaves who settled in Samaná between 1824 and 1825
