God loves us and wants us to live eternally in Heaven. Jesus gave his life on Calvary so that we are forgiven of our sins. Please accept Jesus as your Savior and live for and love God and let Heaven be your eternal home. This is a good song. I also like to hear it by The Freemans too.
Jaybird, I never heard it put quite like that but i like your analogy, it means even more when you think about it Kenny and Elvis were both 42 when they passed away! Both were gone far too soon, that's for sure!
Great annointing singing,i heard them tonight for the first time and i enjoyed their singing emencely. Thanks to the person who post them .Kenny who has died is not yet with the Lord but is asleep in the dust of the earth until the second coming of Jesus when the dead in Christ shall rise first and we that remain will b caught up to meet Him in the air and so shall we ever b with the Lord.1Thessalonians 4:16,17Daniel 12:2,Isaiah 26:19.In 1Phil.1:23 the Apostle call death depart,1of d2 he ws betw
@56pound Hello! I respectfully would like to relay, as in the King James Bible, that as soon as we die, our souls leave this body and will be in Heaven if we're born again or in Hell if we never accepted Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. When Jesus returns our bodies will be joined with our soul. Kenny is in Heaven this very moment and God probably has him singing lead in that great Heaven Choir. Kenny is no longer in the gound, he is in Heaven. God Bless You, Gwen
love love love this video.Kenny is asbolutely the grestest singer ever,he had the most beautiful and perfect voice there ever was, there will never be another Kenny.nor will there ever be another group like the Hinsons.I have listened to them since they started singing in the 70's,Still love and listen to their cds and dvds.
@TheMemphisSlim : well since this over 25 years ago I would think they would have the right to look out of date,at any rate the music never grows old!!!
Not sure how old they were, but this is from the Gospel Singing Jubilee show that was produced and hosted by Les Beasly of The Florida Boys. It was on the air in the 70's . Just guessing but I would say this was taped in the early 70's.
Southern Gospel music is still tops, and I only wish we had more of it. This modern type of gospel singing doesn't hold a candle to southern gospel quartet style. God Bless the Hinsons, and others who sing Southern Gospel.
You are most certainly right. They were awesome. I only got to see them one time in the early 80's in Tulsa. I wish I could find more of their music on cd or dvd. Anyone know where?
I feel so blessed to watch these hymns sung by The Hinsons. The first time I heard a song by them was back in June 2008 & I am positively hooked. I wish there was more of the old Jubilee ones posted here.
Gospel singing is indeed alive and well, sadly not so in the Quartet format as much as in the past, however: Bill Gaither and company has single handedly put Gospel singing and the legends past back into popularity through his concerts and millions of video/CD sales !!!
Ohhhh....I could listen to the magnificent vocal talent found only in that of Chris Hawkins Freeman, she was so blessed with the gift to sing like no other !!!
In some ranks that may be true but those who see THE DAY APPROACHING hold a different view. I'm old and I love seeing and hearing marvelous gospel videos by groups like the incredible Hinsons. As the song says, it's a comfort to my soul.
That's true, and the truth hurts, in this world today real christian music is'nt as popular today as it was then, because theres so much alternate christian music out there.
I was born in the village of Minto, My dad used to listen to the hinsons all the time. One of my earliest memories is from waking up, going to the wood-stove to warm-ip and hearing this song on KJNP.
The Hinsons (Kenny, Ronnie, Larry, and Yvonne [and in this case, Chris Hawkins Freeman], and later Bo and Eric, combined the Traditional Southern Gospel sound with the comtemporary West Coast Christian music from their Santa Cruz, CA home (although the group was billed from Madisonville, KY and later Nashville, TN) to produce a sound that will never be equaled. To me, Kenny Hinson was to gpspel like Elvis was to rock and roll. Kenny, you left us all too soon but I know you're with the Lord.

Kenny had the hollywood looks, he had the Nashville vocal talent, he had the opportunity to sing and write songs for the secular music industry...he chose to
follow his Lord and Savior all the way to Glory and leave an eternal legacy that will endure everlasting to everlasting!
What a powerful anointed message in song from the legendary Southern gospel group, "The Hinsons". The late Kenny Hinson trusted his Savior and Master to calm the troubled waters of his soul..his spirit soared up from the troubled waters and into the bright light of his blessed Redeemer !
I love larry and kennys voice. ive had the pleasure of talking larry. i sing myself and ive tried to pattern my singing by larry and kenny. im also a songwriter.
Thanks for posting this good old Gospel song. I love Southern Gospel Music. I will check out some of your other videos. May God always Bless U. I give U 5*****.
I had dinner with Ronnie and Kenny shortly before Kenny died. It was a wonderful visit though Kenny was very sick yet he smiled often and was very humble. I loved this group and still do. Very well written songs that touched the hearts of many.
I believe that they truly knew Jesus. Kenny, tthough he may be absent from us here, is surely worshiping at the feet of the God who would not fail, our Lighthouse who made us better than new.
My God, What a glorious night its been for me. This takes me back to the early 70's and having those beautiful voices fill the church, tent or wherever God called for them to go. Going to breakfast at 1:00am after the services (Larry could put away the food too). I remember when "The Lighthouse" was brand new (Yep I begged Dad to buy a copy) LOL. I was just a young teenager but they touched my life & I was truly blessed to know them. RIP Kenny
Pardon me, I meant Ronny could put away the food. During my rememberances a lot of people came to mind. A flood of memories... and a lot of girls had such a crush on Kenny, he was such a cutie.
I love the Hinsons; When I was a young boy I would get up early on Sunday morning just to hear Cris Freeman sing. She was my first inspiration to sing Gospel music. They all compliment each other very well.you can tell they love what they're doing, and it shows by the anointing.I loved Yvonne with them also.
WOW! There's just not enough that could be said about Larry! I co-produced the last album before Kenny's passing with the original family. Larry was "all over" Kenny. His harmony was sadly missed for many years after he left the group to preach. My GOODNESS! LISTEN TO THE MAN!!!! Let's talk about Larry for awhile!!! I love the man and his voice and miss hearing him WITH his brother!!!!
Thanks so much for posting. I used to watch this show as a teenager every morning before church where I sang regularly. I confess I tried to copy Kenny Hinson or Steve Sanders sometimes. Thanks again.
