I'm definitely the biggest fan of the Driver's series, all for me was excellent, the bad part is I not can't play Driver 76, LA Undercover and Vegas because the same motive; I don't have a cellphone and PSP. If anyone's worried about shift, think of it like this. If it was going to take 30 secs to complete a mission using shift, they would take it out. If they didn't, it wouldn't be a successful game and they'll lose more money than gained.

To keep the gamers happy they will have to balance the shift or make it so people your persuing can antisipate shift but it wont be a case of Catch him (2 secs later) Mission complete.

Online seems awesome everyone using it at the same time lol!

I think this is big fail,because they made same mistakes again and again.Those mistakes are,that every todays games main guy have to be some very same looking prick,why they cant make main characters more personal. Second is that main villain have to be always some mad monster. Driv3r has terrible controls but those cutscenes were best in whole universe!That driver,Tanner looked like normal guy,with soul patch,that made him personal. And Jericho was like hitman,quiet and smart not any monster.

For one, if you were to, say, turn a corner only to find yourself face-to-face with a giant Mack semi, you'd get an "oh crap" face then turn on Shift, find a car nearby that ISN'T en route to disaster, and then laugh at your former self as his car goes ka-blooie in the face of an eighteen-wheeler.

OK, I've got four major complaints about this game:

1: One word: Shift

2: Tanner and Jerichos appearances are completely changed

3: There are about just 6500 DMC DeLoreans left on the planet so why are they part of the traffic?

4: (Not many notices this) The whole timeline of the game is screwed up. This is supposed to take place some months after the events of Driv3r which took place in 2005. So then, why the fuck are there cars from for example 2009 here?! It's just plain stupid!

3. Car collectors take rare cars out on the road sometimes. Either that or DMC kicked up production thanks to popular demand.

4. The trailer takes place JUST before Tanner is vegetabled (read: coma) by Jericho's SWAT team truck, so it might still be 2005 when shit hits the fan for ol' Tanner. He could have waited six or so years in his coma dream BEFORE the SFPD gave him that assignment.

4. A coma is basically a long sleep, and anything can happen in a coma dream. In this case, cars went along their normal production paths during the six years of his coma so far.

5. Look, buster, this is the first time I've heard Tanner's voice, and I think his VA handles his character quite well.

I see shift as being like some kind of cheat mode! its like someones entered a code and put the game into some kind of debug where you can mess around with all the settings! its rubbish you can avoid a crash by switching into another car! in driver there are no second chances! you either win or lose! no inbetween!!

But that is what the orginal driver got so right, there is no way Driver can compeate against GTA like what they have done in the more recent versions. Drive was about driving, and should be. Hence why driver 1 was a great game, but the biggest fustration was not being able to change cars, now they have solved this without compeating against GTA, and hopefully it'll work.

I do not understand this: in the first Driver Tanner raced in the 70s as a detective and though now he doesn't seem to become older. He must be over 50 if you see this in a logical way. But he looks not much older than 35 or 40 years. Sth doesn't fit in this story concept!!
