  • you should mention the importance of a using crossover with his setup! this way possible too do. But will sound better with a crossover. We all have to be a Macgyver @ the beginning stages.

  • ...point being that you don't need to buy a crossover. You already have one because you have professional power amps with dsp. I don't need to say anything about wharfdale...

  • This is stupid. They are xti amps with dsp. Run left and right Xlr out of mixer into amp one. Then run left right out from amp one's parallel xlrs to left right of amp 2. Cut everything over 100 in the subs and everything under 100 in the tops. This is called an active crossover. Done. Correctly. No RCA bullshit. Period

  • @pizzaking425 in the video, i clearly stated that i was doing this video for somebody who doesnt have XTI amps, i used them because they were the best quality image i could find

  • pff...

  • That connections is verry RONG!!!!!!!!!! how could you take the signal from the bass and put him to the mi-tops? Thats rong guys....rong. This tutorial must disapear!!! Please send a note to the administrator of this site. I all ready done that.

  • @tragaciu Please to READ the discription and re-listen to the video.... I clearly said if you have an active crossover like i do then use it, if not then this is something you could do, im getting rather fed up of fools like yourself hating on this video without reading the discription. NOt everone can afford a crossover, for whatever reason that may be, bills, other commitments or not working every weekend. Its simply a guide for those without the more professional equipment

  • Saludos tienes razón disculpame si tus amplificadores tienen Dsp la conección es en directo a tus bocinas solo que algunas conecciónes no las alcanzo a comprender, saludos desde la ciudad de México Atte Axel Vieya Ingeniero en Audio

  • You'd achieve much better results with a crossover and an equalizer without using really crappy sounding RCA cabling for your subs. EQ allowing your bass control; crossover allowing a split of the output into two amps. Heck you could individually equalize every speaker if you really wanted to.

  • @MelodicRadiation21 Please READ the dicription and relisten to the video i clearly stated if you have an active crossover you'd achieve better sound

  • @jazzyjaxroadshow Regardless, who the fuck uses RCA cables to run speakers?

No. If you're not going to use a crossover, you might as well just run XLR splitters and use the amps to control the balance between the two. You'll lose signal, but at least your sound system won't sound like your mother's television set.

Plus, you won't look like a total douchebag on YouTube.

  • @MelodicRadiation21 some use RCA, and i do appologize you clearly know way more than the rest of us im glad that theres a real expert making videos for us all to learn from and use to bette ourselves, oh hang on a moment. And for your information, on the normal DJs setup 2 or 4 speaker setups, using RCA, Jack or XLR makes no difference if the cable is below 2 meters. Why dont you make the time to post a helpful video instead of trying to lower others videos

  • @jazzyjaxroadshow I have better things to do than to bring my full time job (do you have one of those?) onto YouTube. I'm more concerned with client satisfaction than satisfying complete strangers on the internet. However, your setup is idiotic. The fall point is not the cable, it's the fact that you need to run a series of adapters in order to make it work which in turn, degrades the signal. Unless you're suggesting that amplifiers have RCA inputs, in which case, you shouldn't DJ with it.

  • @MelodicRadiation21 I dont use any adapters, not one. there is such thing as a RCA-Jack/XLR cable, and i dont use either of those anymore either, i use xlr for everything. And as a matter of fact i do have a Job. And if can satisfy your clients then why not show others how to do so? Lets just agree to disagree, you want to act the season pro, go for it, when i used this method, i had no issues with quality, and now i use xlr for everything, i cannot tell the difference

  • @jazzyjaxroadshow so i will keep this video up, simply because there may be a beggniner or someone after some ideas to either use or adapt to suit. Oh and for the sarcasm, yes i have a job, im 19 with a landrover company car and on a wage i couldnt imagine being on 6 months ago. Djing is an on the side thing which is why i dont have moving heads and QSC speakers, i like my setup and so do my clients, and anything i think of i put on youtube, someone will find it useful

  • @jazzyjaxroadshow It's great that your setup works for you, but not all equipment is created equal. Also an XLR to RCA cable needs to be patched (within the cable) and it only creates an ungrounded connection. This could result in damage to the amplifiers in certain situations. Look, I'm not saying I know everything, but hopefully by my comment, people won't find themselves frying amplifiers because some guy on YouTube told them to do something that isn't right. Look it up for yourself.

  • Could you also use two XLR spliters out of the ?

  • @DJTRENTEN you could do but depending on the quality of the cable you may lose audio quality

  • cheers mate, helped alot, will try it out in the house tomorrow :D

  • @djdavebelldisco let me know how you get on
