  • This was my favourite part of fantasia :')

  • This and Firebird from Fantasia 2000 is my favorite!

  • What a good mommy pony :) Teaching her little boy to fly.

  • I remember this from when i was a little girl too! Magical this is still!!

  • So... where is Rainbowdash?

  • So it was disney who invented my little pony. I owe the man so much =D

  • @izjhaferebex guess you can say he was the first brony

  • lol 1 dislike

  • Rainbow Dash would make this segment 20% cooler.

  • When I was little I wanted to live here :)

  • Anyone wonder how a black Pegasus and a white Pegasus got colorful babies...??

  • @NoeGtea I always thought it was coz white light is made up of all 7 rainbow colours? And.........coz they're MAGICAL, YAY! ^^

  • anyone noticed the music has a phasing effect

  • i love this film :x

this film make me peace :X

  • 1:11 gives me chills every single fucking time

god i remember being a kid watching this its such a magical film sigh why isnt there anything good like this nowdays

brb downloading fantasia to show my kids

  • Yay the horse part!

  • "I'm on a horse"

  • the little faun in the beginning is so cute ^^ i want to hug it so badly!

  • @MrRyouBakura it is not a faun, i think it is a satyr. And i'm pretty sure you would not like yo hug him. satyrs are lustful creatures, they spend the days running after nymphs or masturbating.

  • @erikdz Sorry to disappoint you, but that is a faun.

  • @GothPuppyGirl i'm pretty sure that it is a satyr! fauns and satyrs are very similar. they both look like Pan. i think fauns belong to roman mythology and satyrs belong to greek mythology! certainly, i don't know!

anyway, fauns and satyrs are lustful creatures. they love sex.

    i'm sure about that

  • I remember way back in the early 90's when they re-released this back into the movie theatre!!

  • haha random observation: at 3.42, the blue baby jumps in, emerges as orange then the yellow one jumps and emerges blue, then the black one jumps in twice- the second time (3:53) one of each colour is in the water ^_^

ahh but my favourite was always the lil black pegasus hoiking its tail up trying to fly- soooo cute! i love Disney <3

  • @zeezeezebra

I actually thought that was on purpose. :D

  • @KIabautermann yeps most likely... a combination of magical water and Dismey's brilliant mind ^_^ hehe <3

  • I love this part of Fantasia!!!

  • i really really want a flying horse!!! xxxx

  • Why is it that even at the ripe old age of thirty I still sigh with joy and longing at the sight of an animated pegasus?? *sob*

  • @TheXSolemnXHypnotic

Coming up on 27 and feel the same. Enjoy your awesomeness!

  • @junipermama1its the blu turnin' inta orange and the yello turnin inta blu

  • This video is a half step out of tune from the original key in the movie.....sorry for being picky.

  • The sequential errors starting at 3:35 has annoyed me for my entire life. I first noticed it when I was three, and my three-year-old daughter noticed it without me saying anything. The pink foal turns blue, the blue foal turns pink, and then the black foal jumps in twice. Wtf?

  • @junipermama1 I noticed that, But I always assumed that it meant that the water was magical and would turn the foals different colours when they jumped in. :)

  • @junipermama1 Remember that this was made in 1940...it's amazing that a masterpiece like this was capable of being animated way back then. Mistakes can easily be set aside when looking at the full picture.

  • Crap. Almost forgot. Prince of Denmark's March when Rarity wakes up in the morning.

  • This plays when Pinkie Pie wakes up in the morning. Highway to the Danger Zone when Rainbow Dash wakes up in the morning. Sound of Silence when Fluttershy wakes up in the morning. Like a Rock when AJ wakes up in the morning. BWV 578 when Twilight Sparkle wakes up in the morning, Bad Reputation, when Gilda wakes up in the morning, Ring of Fire when Spike wakes up in the morning, Magical Dreamers when the CMCs wake up in the morning, Sounds of Hatari when Zecora wakes up in the morning.

  • im only 17 and disney's fantasia is one of my fave vids to watch

  • Little Unicorns!!! This brings back so many memories from my childhood! Disney should do these kinds of things again. I remember growing up to awesome cartoons and classical music. Thank you Disney for giving me an awesome childhood! :D *goes off to find out if the vcr is still working and sruff Fantasia into it...*

  • my fav piece in fantasia. the vcr was my uncle's. i just got this and 2000 on dvd and introduced it 2 by brother

  • OMG...so many memories~ T.T these were the best times ever.... i loved the animation..it was so magical. :D

  • I am 13 so I missed all this :'(

  • When I was a child, I always begged my mom for grapes and grapejuice at this part XD

  • one of the few childhood memories is sitting down and watching fantasia, FANTASTIC !!!!!!!

  • How Much I Miss This Mannn !

  • 1:05 Awwwwww.... That's so cute!

  • this part of the movie is adorable

  • 0:23 so cute

  • This is definitely not "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"....

  • This will be my ideal paradise *____* full of ponies and wine lol XD

  • Wow, when things were still original and with soul and not only for making money without feelings

  • lolz we played this in school and halfway through the piece a clarinet or a flute made a really loud "tweet" all in all though i really had fun playing this peice...and it was funny to see how badly we played it :P

  • The music played during the Greek mythology scenes is Beethoven's Pastoral music. Isn't it a beautiful piece of music?

  • I can see how the 10,000 plus year achievements of the Europeans offend blacks and make them feel insignificant, living in mudhuts and not developing written languages at all, but come on - this is for kids! Leave the vindictiveness for yo affirmative black action or something.

  • my first approach to Greek myths...then it was Hercules

  • the kind of person that dislikes this is the sort that eats puppies for breakfast...

  • How can ANYONE dislike this?! O_o

  • MY VCR ATE MY TAPE. what a fucking sad day that was. LOVED this as a kid, maybe a little too much-watched it nearly every day, it was like one big musical-magical-mesmerizing-moment.

  • I have three older sisters, we used to watch the VHS of this over and over again together.

For some reason they decided I was the silly little black horse, and they'd be lovely coloured little horses flying perfectly.

I wanted to be the evil dude on Night on Bald Mountain though.

So I'd go play with my Playmobil knights.. And then they'd join me and created "a peaceful medieval world" with princesses and ruin my fun AGAIN!!!

    I guess it's a miracle I'm not a homosexual serial killer.

  • @Nakata995 Oh! Such a tragedic childhood you must've had! DX

    *patpat*

  • @Nakata995 A. 'Trauma' doesn't make people gay. B. Serial Killers are usually made due to mental illness. C. It's a segment about rainbow pegasi. Did it have THAT deep of an emotional impact on you? D. Cool story, bro.

  • @Nakata995 could be worse...you could be a fuckin pedophile rapist like my brother turned out to be

  • THEY ARE SO CUTE

    can i have one? please?

  • i can't imagine the huge amount of horse shit in that magical world filled with .... magical horses.

    magical shit mountains perhaps?

  • I went from, "A Night on Bald Mountain", to this video! I feel somewhat safe now!

  • Lol, from 3:41, the blue one dives in but an orange one emerges, then a yellow one goes in and a blue one comes up, then the black one goes in but is seen gliding down straight after haha. This one was always my favourite Fantasia one. And the flying whales, too.

  • This is very special to me. I watched Fantasia a lot as a child and it's still just as magical as it was then. :)

  • It always really bothered me that they changed colours at the end. I was very OCD and anal, even at the age of five.

  • This is my fav part

  • i love the little black pegasus! oh, little one, you've won my heart with your persistence....

  • This was always my favorite piece in the whole film. ...I remember watching this when I was really little - then I watched it again when a little older, and decided that Beethoven is my favorite classical composer.

And he still is. :3 I respect him because he composed Ode to Joy while completely deaf.

  • I wonder if the white pegasus had to explain why they had blue, yellow and pink babys as well.

  • @Epsonthegiraffe Let's just assume that those colors were recessive genes in both of their families.

  • This one, and the one in 2000 that included The Firebird Suite are my favorite :]

  • I used to watch this movie just about every other day when I was little. The little black pegasus is SO CUTE! He was my favies, for sure!

  • 2:12 disney's only interracial couple ever. seriously.

  • @KemonoAkiah Lol.

But seriously seriously? There's John Smith and Pocahontas. Milo and "Kida"gakash. As well as Naveen and Tiana. Unless we're only counting stuff before Walt died... in that case, I'm currently kind of stumped.

  • @bijoukaiba ur right! my bad; okay, here's the updated count: 4 couples out of tons.

  • 2:41 is sooo cute!!

  • I can see now where they got the idea for the art design of Disney's Hercules.

  • @HotCheetoVideos I agree with you. :)

  • lol at 2:06

  • @lilgrindah09 hummm.... did disney just troll kids in physics?

  • I love the way disney animals move, they have trhis cute, funny walk like this 0:50

  • This part was my favorite one as a kid, and of course I was afraid of the 'Night on Bald mountain' scene. I always laughed at the time when Blue dives in, and turns out Orange, than Yellow dives and comes out Blue, Black dives and turns Yellow. and then Black flies down like a king :P

  • I loved this whole piece. My fav part in the movie with these guys ^-^

  • Hannah Montana and all the other Disney crap on TV today needs to disappear. I find nothing amusing or entertaining at all. These shows send a bad message to kids- they need to be popular, anorexic, dumb, and focus on boys!

At least Fantasia is cute and funny, like the adorable baby Pegasi!! <3

  • the little black pegasus is so cute!!! :-)

  • i want to know how a white pegasus and a black pegasus makes blue, pink, and yellow baby pegusi! i love the little black one at 2:06!

  • i love so much this part :D

  • i would have liked if reality was something like that....

  • i would have liked if reality was something like that....

  • so colourful and magical~! makes your heart go WOW

  • @ 3:49 the black one jumps in but at 3:50 he's back in the air

  • This was Beethoven's 6th symphony.

  • I love the black pegasus <3

  • @kailyprower I do too, I nickname him The Red Eyes Black Pegasus.

  • How can someone dislike this video? They might think the modern Disney shows are better than this.

To me, this is an incredible masterpiece. One of my fave scenes from Fantastia. This is my 2nd fave. My 1st fave scene is Night on Bald Mountain.

  • This was always my favorite part. I begged my mom for weeks to get me a 'blue horsie with a pointy horn'. :3 Whenever we have free time in band class my teacher puts this movie on. Even the boys enjoy it. x3

  • I want to cry this is so beautiful. :')

  • hail classic disney and down with the bloody hannah montana, jonas and whatnots.

  • Okay I just barely noticed this. The Little baby pegusi Jumped into the water and Changed color! I\Am i the only one who noticed that?

  • @SesshomarusGirl20 No you're not. I always figured it was magical rainbow water. This IS fantasy land.

  • @20SarahN10: The older DVD is out of print, but Disney has confirmed that there is another DVD coming out in December, a few weeks before Christmas. I know it's going to be a while, but this is going to be your second chance. When it's out, put it on your Christmas list. :)

  • Can I get Fantasia on DVD anywhere??, I've looked for it for ages can't find it =[

  • they change colors.. when the baby pegususes are jumping off into the water they change colors lol

  • This was my favorite part of Fantasia. I enjoyed the whole film, but this piece stood out to me. Thank you so much for posting this.

  • i wanted them when i was little i thought they were the cutest horses ever. i always called them my little ponys

  • @hulachicky0418 I know huh? me too. When I was little I asked my mom did she think the momma horse would get mad if I pet one of her babies? My mom smiled and said "No hun, she seems like she's a sweet horse, I'm sure she wouldn't mind". Oh the silly questions we ask when we're YOUNG! LOL (GOD BLESS YOU)

  • @hulachicky0418 Haha, they were always My little ponys to me aswell <3

  • the pegasuses and the unicorns are cute

  • Years later as a musician I fondly recall my favorite childhood movie... Now when playing any song from Fantasia in orchestrated form I think back on the scenes of this classic film

  • @Gnahtte me too!!

  • this was always my favourite bit :)

  • As a kid, This always was my favorite scene in Fantasia, Because of the Unicorns and Pegasus(s)? (Is there a plural of that? lmao)

But now, It is my favorite scene because of the wonderful music.

  • @InuKH2Sammy the plural of pegasus is pegasi.

  • that cool! the black pegasus and white pegasus have a child.

  • I remeber I always felt so sorry for the black pegasus x3 Its so cuuute! And I always go "Aww" when I see it x3

  • @kewlness888 that's a true and sadest statement.

  • Gods, watching the pegasus scenes where they go thundering THROUGH the clouds STILL gives me goosebumps ;D

  • We 80s boys and girls have grown up learning Classic Music through Disney

  • @Aryanor86

    Don't forget 90s girls and boys :)

I was watching this when I was little girl ^^

I remember that I was a girl that watched this kind of cartoons, going outside to play with many kids :) we had imaginations ^^ and I am in a music school now, because of this ^^

  • @ThePianoPlayer93 I think you are totally beast!

  • @ThePianoPlayer93 same here! i hate kids today who sit and watch crappy cartoons and play on their nintendos and xbox's and stuff.....

i used to spend all summer playing in the fields and forrests with my friends, making up stories and characters, acting out stuff and looking after the animals..... and i'm an art student :)

i worry about the current young generation......

  • @ThePianoPlayer93 ok i wont forget the 90s but this was not made in the 90s girl . o_O .

  • @cRypT0cHiLd

are you imagining thigs??? I never said that this was made in '90s :/// I said that I was born in the '90s, so please, NO COMM.

  • @ThePianoPlayer93

Me and my sister were '95 and '97, and this was our favorite movie when we were little. :) And she's planning on being a singer. So, remember, parents-if you want your children to have a musical career, have them watch Fantasia! XD

  • @Aryanor86 90s too! i loved this movie when i was little!

  • @tarjay35 Good for the 90s ones! :D

  • @Aryanor86 *Classical

  • oh my god! this little unicorns!! ahh! this is insane, it's like my childhood smacking me in the face

  • This was my favourite scene from Fantasia when I was little! I loved ponies and pink and sparkles...and I wanted to be a Pegasus when I grew up :D Thanks for posting this, brought back a lot of memories!

  • this part is my favorite... so epic and beautiful, the glory of the olympus, and the beauty of the pegasi :D!

  • call me a girly-gir, but i love fauns, pegasi, and unicorns...but not the my-lil-pony lookin' kind, i like the graceful, majestic ones.

  • XD she just shakes her baby.

Regardless, this is one of my favorite movies ever. Beautifully done.

  • So amazing and timeless........

  • I love this piece! Ah, the memories. =)

  • i want A A PINK BABY PONEYYY SO BAD !!

  • I loved this as a kid! I used to have toy ponies, just like the ones in this and i used to act out the scenes with them :) lol xx

  • oh my god it's adorable

  • I loved this movie so much when I was a kid... This part and the one with the centaurus is my favorite

and I'm in love with the black baby!! :3

  • love it:)

  • Maybe they start out colorful then lighten or darken with age...? The other adult pegasi looked blue white or black...

  • there was a blue one,a dark blue one

  • very interesting.

  • Whitey and Blackie have rainbow babies? I think mama was cheating with a multi-colored Pegasus

  • No...rainbow colors are recessive and both the mama and papa carried the genes for it.

  • whoa okay at the end the blue one jumps in but then comes out orange.then the orange one jumps in and comes out blue. color swapping Pegasus's... im onto you baby Pegasus's!

  • And there's an extra black one!

  • by far my favorite Disney film ever.

  • I LOVED THIS MOVIE SO MUCH!! My favorite has always been the Pegasus part, I just LOVE mythical creatures!!

  • Amo esta música!!!

  • every girl LOVED this part

  • I'm a man and this is STILL my favorite part of the movie.

  • @MelancholyDane Isn't the music simply beautiful though? Do you like Beethoven? This is his Pastoral Music. But this is also my favorite part of the movie.

  • You know, its hard to believe this was made all the way back in 1940...and its STILL one of Disney's greatest masterpieces! The oldie Disney movies are just too classic to beat

  • @PantherMistress88 damn true

  • this is beautiful in so many ways.

  • its hard to believe disney used to creat masterpices and now all the do is lame-o hanna montana crap. =(

  • hear hear! the artistry in sleeping beauty gets me ever time! the various animation and cartoon styles portrayed in virtually every classic movie they did goes to prove the genuis that use to work with disney...

...and now all they can think to do is popularize goodlooking boy crazy selfcentered 16 yr olds with good family ties to the music industry...blah. so bland and uninteresting...

  • at least 16ppl agree with you, me included

  • I am so glad I grew up with this type of cartoons... poor little guys right now.

  • @kewlness888 Actually, it's very easy to believe. THIS was made back when Walt Disney himself was alive and pooling together the best of the best. Hannah Montana is the shameful bi-product of some guy's greed and lack of care for maintaining the precedents of dignity and artistry that Walt Disney established.

  • @kewlness888 classics like this are still loved even after 70 years and will still be loved for years to come. Films/people like Hannah Montana will have their 5 years of fame and die out.... Makes you wonder why disney can't see the difference.

  • @kewlness888 back then walt disney was in the lead, now they only make those lame series all for the money...

  • @kewlness888

There was a time when people made art and music Just for the love of it.

Now they make art and music just for money.

And that is why it all sucks.......To bad ey

  • i don't under stand the part where the blue and yellow Pegasuses baby's turn different color after jumping in the water

  • Do we really have to understand it?

  • Maybe they forgot which order they jumped in the black one ends up going in twice :P

  • it was an editing mistaked that was too late to take out when they published the movie

  • It's magical water!

  • Jimmy Cliff Wonderful World, Beautiful People DTV Disney

  • i still have this movie in almost perfect condition!

and this is my favorite part

its been stuck in my head for a couple years now lol!

i love the little black pegesus!

  • this was my favorite part as a kid and still is.

    beautiful

  • jotape you spoiled this great party :'(

  • I don't want to spoil the party but I think Disney isn't the only one who deserves all credits. He worked with a great team of graphic animation artists, whom made it without any electronic help, and, in this specific case, with a very great orchestra and a very exceptional conductor. Of course, we can't forget mister Beethoven who wrote all this wonderful master music piece. Just a humble opinion.
