Pascal, I'm not sure how familiar you are with the compositions of Nobuo Uematsu (particularly from the Final Fantasy series) but he's one of the most prolific and talented composers out there. Unfortunately, his work is under appreciated since the vast majority of his pieces are done in the form of video game music. Beautiful stuff...
