"White elephant" is also a term for a sunken asset or something completely useless, for those of you who don't know. The question is WHAT the elephant is in the song. I would suggest it's a quasi-satirical song and the white elephant is individuality or a previous personal sense of morality (and the song is basically about selling out or giving in to a deluded group mentality/hedonism, hence the partygoers and the killing of the only outsider (in black) left)... but I'm not entirely sure.

The song is called white elephant. Each person is wearing something that is white.

I feel, from watching the video, that it's how each of them feel like 'the elephant in the room'. A little out of place, don't really fit in. They wear masks or make up or hats to cover up perhaps what they really are to live through a persona that they wish they were. She follows people around noticing that everyone is different and strange themselves and everyone in their own way is a white elephant.
