I think the problem here brother/sister is that you are confusing the beliefs of Christianity with the beliefs of Islam. In Islam, we do not believe that salvation can be attained by believing that Jesus died for our sins, as the Christians do. We believe that the ONLY way anyone will enter Paradise, is through the MERCY of Allah (SWT). After that, your good deeds determine which LEVEL of Paradise you will abide in. As for your second question:

surat Al-Maidah, Verse 3: "This day I have perfected your deen for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your Deen."

As for your third question: You are right, Allah never refers to anyone who will enter unto his mercy as "Muslim". He refers to them as "believers".

Salvation in Islam is that you associate no partners with Allah, that you submit to Him alone. That you believe in all His Angels and Messengers. It is best said through the following Surah Ikhlas:

Let me first tell u what Islam means. In short it means Peace accquired by submitting to the will of God. So a muslim is one who submitts to the will of God by following his commandments. Islam teaches that God has sent Messengers in every generation and to every nation. All these messengers Starting with Prophet Adam all came with the same message when it comes to belief and worship of one God.

What have been different in their messages are some of the law and they way acts of worship are performed. Due to the different ages and abilities of the people in various ages. So Islam teaches that those who believed, worshiped God alone and followed the commandments of God given to that messenger/prophet of their time will be saved and enter Paradise.
