  • is this the shag carpet railroad??

  • awesome

  • Dude..give the guy a break. Maybe he doesnt have the room for a whole layout. ( I dont either, I live in an apartment). I run my trains on the carpet as well only I use E-Z track to keep dust from the wheels.

  • I can firmly belive you when you say that its never been seen before. That Sanfa Fe GP60M seems almost impossible to find!

  • Get it off the carpet, or it wont be running for long. The dust / fibers from the carpet get into the wheels and gears.

  • @MrkmTrainFAN I have told him that a few times as well and he never responds, guess he wants to take his chances with dust, carpet fibers/fuzz, hair etc. getting into his gears, wheels, motors, etc. and screwing up his locomotives. I guess it would be his loss though since he doesn't wanna listen.

  • my friend has that exact same train

  • where did you get that santa fe train from

  • I would recommend that you at least get a cheap peice of plywood and put it on a table or something buecause i have had ISSUES with trains eating carpet and dying

  • @DIASTU2 Yes sir, I agree with you 100%. I have told him the same thing a few times and he doesn't respond or listen. The first time he loses a locomotive though, due to carpet fibers/fuzz, hair, etc. maybe he will start listening. It will also be HIS loss if he loses an engine, not ours.

  • i has a 4301 Santa fe

  • Ah... the wind-swept Great Shag Plains of Kansas.

  • Rrrr it is that famous railfan site Carpet Pass

  • hey nice engine man metrolink is my athern lock

  • Gotta love that Warbonet on the Santa Fe!

  • I GOT MY santa fe for $65 from walthers and ALSO a big layout :)

  • My friend unless you do your ez track please dont put those Santa Fes on the carpet the fibers are really bad and will ! destroy your engines..

  • @1974nyarlathotep i learned that. carpet fuzz and dog hair is not fun to pick out of an engine. its on table now. got decoder in and its cool. way faster than bachmanns. iwish it was as heavy as a bach but thats ok. do you have ideas to add weight to an athearn gp60m for traction

  • i have an atearn gp60m bnsf 157, it is dc, dcc ready, how do you put the the decoder in to make dcc. i have dcc controller and 2 bachmann engines that come with it(i bought a bachmann dcc set to get the ez command dcc controller, not really a bachmann loco fan i like my athearn). i would like to convert it since its an 80 dollar engine sitting on a side track not being used.

  • it is a dc locomotive with dcc ready built in athearn made locomotive

  • @duncau

    does i have dcc

  • hey please respond

about how much is this bad boy

  • @warhead234 100 bucks give or take why?

  • I have those just 2 no B unit. Mine are Athearn's

  • if i were you my friend i would go to a hardware store and get a 4x8 and work your way up your trains can get messed up on carpet my friend learned that the hard way

  • is that a kato?

  • good job. my ho scale GE 44 toner can pull 22 cars (with wieghts) up the 2 percent grade @ my model rr club

  • nothing special i have a N scale alco switcher and i can pull a 19 car train

  • take it off the ground read the a magizen about train and learn

  • lern 2 spel plz

  • Ur using code 100 track thats good!,it very good for running!.

  • Yeah I use that Code 100 flex track, Really good stuff!

  • It's good on floors like the one in this video, but it's not good on floors that have stuff sticking out of the flooor cuz it decouples the train.

  • Go fuck yourself BITCH!! "thestar1949".

  • I really like the locomotive,i have always wanted 1 of these!.

    I Said U Suck bitch to thestar1949.

  • they're great locos... i've got 4 and they run like champs!

    and i agree

  • Hopefully mu dad can be me one if theres one at my local hobby shop.

  • i would definitely advise you to invest in one...

  • You suck bitch!.

  • .....................need I say anything?

  • do you run on DCC? if so have you made any videos with the engines making sound? i love your engines and would love to hear em =)

  • why do u have ur layout on the floor??? and by the way very cool engine im modelling cn in the 1970s but i think ill get a gp60m just for a change

  • Just no time for one at the momment.

The GP60Ms are hard to get Just Train Crazy in Grimsby Ontario might have one left in stock if not google Hiawath Hobbies or Pacific Western Rail they have them in stock I think $77-85 US for them contact me if u have any more quesions that need answers

  • how much have you spent in total so far on your layout?

  • @dmncau there's CN GP60s in George's Trains...

  • @GordonFreemanD40 That would not surprise me I was there not very very long ago, I might be going there tomorrow for a quick visit. :)

  • i have it to cool

  • i like your santa fe

real classy thats why i own 2 of them =]

  • I have one of those same locomotives from Athearn. The only thing diferent it that its a BNSF, still in warbonnet though. Only thing is its realy loud when in forward, but in reverse its its pretty quiet. Nice train.

  • awesome video! great engine!

  • A real nice layout. How did you get the plush carpet to look so real?

  • hummmm, just the way the carpet is these days i am using true track with a roadbed

  • Nice engine.

  • i have santa fe also, but it runs slow

  • cool i have the same scale models HO
